Oakland Panel Craft is my go-to shop for everything automotive. I've brought multiple cars here and every time they've been well-priced, quickly fixed my vehicle, and everyone is super friendly! Love that it's a multi-generational family business too! Will continue bringing my cars here to be repaired. read more

Very pleased with the work done on the back bumper of my Kia Soul. The paint match was perfect and they even detailed the inside of the car. Their estimate was reasonable & they held to it. Their professional staff made me feel comfortable. read more

In the past couple years I've had a Lexus bipped, that same car stolen later, then two other cars simultaneously wrecked when parked, by a driver fleeing w no Ls or insurance. So I've gotten to learn a lot about the insurance game. Brendon, Brianna and Jordan knew I wasn't in a rush and wanted everything replaced w OEM parts naturally. They played the insurance game w the adjuster, looking out for me. The way it seems to work is, the insurerers lowball the damages, and send non-OEM, aftermarket parts and hope the body shop and customer don't notice. Just anything to get the work done as cheaply as possible. The team at Panel Craft were so patient and communicative. Consistently sending back the parts and requesting that the parts be OEM, as well as insuring that the damages were all attended to. For example, the first appraisal completely didn't even take into account frame damage. Panel Craft did their own appraisal of damages. Eventually the Caddy was totaled, when the first appraisal from the insurers just took into account cosmetic damages. Secondly, they found subframe damage in Lexus and made sure to take it to a mechanic to prove that it needed replacing. Was it minor? Sure. But like Jordan says, we all pay a lot of money for insurance, and we need the vehicles restored to like-new condition when awful stuff happens. The team consistently kept me up to date, answered phone calls, and were extremely patient with the insurance companies shenanigans. They didn't rush the job or just slap on the aftermarket parts to keep the job moving. Instead they made sure the work was done right. Were steadfast and in the end the Lexus looks beautiful, with great color matching and paint. As good as new! They are a really nice family run business. Their father (up the street at the original Panel Craft location) gave me with free advice a decade back. (Dave, another really cool dude, who I like talking to.) I remembered and made sure to reciprocate with my business and I'm glad I did. Really great experience with these guys, after an incredibly tilting series of events with my cars. Highly recommend bringing your body work to them. Clean shop, friendly people, all of them stayed on point did great work. read more

Update on the damage Brendin and Brianna did to my car wile in their possession - Ok this just keeps getting better - After my first review I was contacted by an attorney telling me to "never contact panel Craft again" This shop refuses to stand behind their work! Let that sink in for a minute BEFORE you give these kids your car. Today I noticed parts of my interior were loose and were not like that prior to giving my car to PanelCraft So I pulled the dead pedal / stomp plate off and noticed GLOBS of silicone hot glue behind it. This is the same exact glue panel Craft also used to repair the tabs on my headlights. So I guess THEY broke these pieces, claimed they were damaged in the accident then also broke interior parts that NEVER NEEDED TO BE REMOVED! Used freaking HOT GLUE, not epoxy to a real plastic welder to fix them improperly then like Ed about it at time of delivery and used a two bit attorney to get away with it! I've also notified cad sevral areas of the car that were not repaired by the shop had mismatched paint pen used to fill in minor scratches. These were NOT there at time of drop off. My strong feeling are this damage was done after paint by whoever AnelCraft contracted to detail my car and cover it in snake oil at time of deliver to get it off their hands. These kids are HACKS!! Panel craft will DESTROY YOUR CAR!!! read more

Oakland Panel Craft - Body Shops Near Me - Oakland, California

Panel Craft has always taken excellent care of my vehicles, being both accommodating and communicative when I have needed to get work done.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. About a month ago, I got into a vehicle collision and it was such a stressful situation. As fate had it, I was able to connect with David Habu from Panel Craft the day of my accident and he was able to help me out and connect me with Brianna Habu from Oakland Panel Craft. The whole behind the scenes process of working with another person's insurance was such a headache, but Brianna was great at communicating what was going on with the insurance company and provided me with updates about my vehicle every step of the way. I am so pleased with the outcome of my vehicle. They even went above and beyond and even washed and detailed my vehicle so it looks brand new. Highly recommend this place. Quality work, excellent customer service, and just overall amazing people. Thank you Brianna, David and all who helped me with my vehicle! Pros: -they really take care of their customers -excellent communication -quality service -covid precautions were practiced (masks worn properly, plastic screens in the office, sanitized keys upon retrieval) Cons: -n/a read more

Our car came back looking like new after pretty bad scratches down the entire side. Also came back detailed.

I've been taking my cars to Panel Craft for decades. They are so reliable and trustworthy. There is no where else I would take my car to. I highly recommend them! read more

My longtime, salty & trustworthy mechanic recommended David Habu of Panel Craft in Berkeley when someone forced and destroyed the driver's-door lock on my thirty-year-old Subaru one rainy night in 2021, then jammed a scissors into the ignition attempting to steal it. A local locksmith rescued the ignition, and Panel Craft agreed to look at the damage to the door lock. Knowing I was paying out of pocket for a car that wouldn't likely be long for this world, Mr. Habu hacked a solution quickly and at an astonishingly reasonable price, keeping the Subaru drivable (and lockable) for another 2.5 years ('til the head gasket blew, and I threw in the towel). Fast forward to 2024, when a driver backed into the front bumper of my street-parked -- much newer -- Honda Fit, leaving an ugly, football-size dent in its left corner. The driver who hit my car had insurance that covered my claim, and I had no doubt I wanted the work done at Panel Craft -- this time the Oakland shop run by Mr. Habu's son and daughter, Brendan and Brianna. They coordinated the job with the insurance company, got me scheduled soon after their estimate was approved, and restored my Honda's bumper perfectly. There were delays (one supplier shipped them the wrong part twice before getting it right), but the repair still took only two days longer than the original estimate. Brendan, Brianna, and Jordan were courteous and informative throughout -- and kept the insurance company in the loop so my insurance-paid rental was extended to account for the delay. Nobody wants to deal with the aftermath of a collision, even one in which no one (thankfully) was injured. But if that's where you find yourself, you won't go wrong entrusting your car to Panel Craft Oakland. read more

Excellent work. Good people. The work was completed earlier than expected, and with fair prices. They even detailed my car inside and out while it was in their care. Highly recommended. read more

A car of mine was love tapped by a college student not paying attention on the road. I called 3 shops to get a quick frame damage check up and they all recommended Oakland Panel Craft. They told me there was no damage and gave me a quote on other unrelated cosmetic damage within 5 minutes of getting there. I offered to pay for their time but they insisted otherwise. Thank you guys; five stars! read more

Hopefully you won't need them, but if you do need it, Oakland Panel Craft is the place to go! Brianna, Brendan, and team are the absolute best. I needed some body work done and ended up bringing my car to them given the positive reviews I saw here. The quote they gave my was significantly lower than the first quote I got and they were great to work with throughout the process -- Brianna kept me updated along the way. The work was done in less than a week and my car came back sparkling new. I highly recommend Oakland Panel Craft! read more

I live close by and walked over to them to tell them that my car wasn't starting and I may need a jump start. After a couple of minutes they grabbed a portable car battery jump and walked back to my place to jump my car, and all free of charge. Big thanks because without a jump start I probably would've been screwed read more

Solid body shop. They're an extension of the El Cerrito Panel Craft, just up the street, currently a 4.5/5 on Yelp, so they're very solid. Good service, good communication, taught me about getting a rental, what to do with insurance. Yeah. I mean not much to say since my car was basically just totaled. They held my car for a while. read more

Brenden and Brianna are absolute pros. They are experts at what they do and consummate professionals. They pay attention to the details. They replaced my bumper and it looks as good as new! I wish the rest of the car looked as good! I know I drove Brianna a bit crazy, but she handled my requests with aplomb. I highly recommend Oakland Panel Craft. read more

The team at Panel Craft is amazing! My car was hit by another person and I had to take in into the shop for a repair to the front bumper. Brianna was incredibly communicative even though the insurance company was slow at getting back to them and me. She went above and beyond to be helpful. The work they did looks great, and I just feel so grateful for their care and service during the stressful time! read more

10/10 Customer service and customer care. I have needed to head to Panel Craft for a few car needs . Brianna and Brenden are friendly ? Understanding and very helpful . They are always clear and transparent about what needs to be done and next steps . Your car is your vessel to move and when I was involved in a Collision recently , I was able to take my car here and get the best service for myself and the car . There were also times I had some minor repairs needed for the car such as a broken mirror and still the level of service was above and beyond . I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a reliable , trustworthy , friendly and intelligent car collision service . Thank you Brianna and Brenden so much ! read more

My understanding is that Panel Craft one of the very few family-owned body shops in the East Bay and I wish I would have discovered them years ago which would have probably saved me a lot of time and headache. They have worked on both of my P-cars and the results have always been outstanding. After a recent major body damage service, I had to return to have a small applique replaced which had a slight but visible defect. I decided that I might as well have them order/replace others that had faded over time, which had nothing to do with the original claim work. I also had them investigate and resolve some sunroof issues. I was fully expecting to pay for the extra work and parts that had nothing to do with the original claim; however, Brianna told me with a smile that they would not be charging me as consolation for having to bring my car back. Talk about pleasantly surprised! Not only do they do the best quality body work in town and treat me like a VIP client they also make me feel like a friend! As a professional who works in the Customer Experience industry, Brianna and Brendon are the paragon! read more

These folks did a great job with my car! I was looking for an easy fix to a bad scrape, and they responded with several quotes. The quote we settled on was very reasonable. They did great work! read more

This shop is the best! Follow up, professional attitude and top quality work can be expected from the entire crew.

Brianna and Brenden are rock stars! My car looks practically brand new after they did their magic body work on it. Oakland Panel Craft pays extra attention to detail. When my car was returned to me it looked shinier than when I first bought it. They re-attached fenders that were never properly attached, even before the collision. When I brought it to the shop I was embarrassed to drive it; now I'm super proud! The owners worked diligently with the insurance company, auto parts distributors, and the rental car agency to make this potentially stressful pleasant, updating me and reassuring me as the body work progressed. The icing on the cake was getting my car back with the inside vacuumed out! Very nice job, Oakland Panel Craft. read more
