I have been coming to Alliance for close to 3 months. When I first started to receive treatment, i was at a 50% with pain in my lower back. I had pain when i exercised and when i did lifting around the house. I can now say that I am at 100% with great results. I am now able to do my exersices without issue and can now move around the house without issue as well. My doctor was Jandial was very helpful in explaining the process and walked me through any issues i would have had. I would suggest anybody who is looking to start treatment to ask for him. He is very knowlegable in this field as he explained going into the treatment and kept me informed of what was going on. They are very nice there. After years of carrying my backpack and purses on one shoulder, as well as pain in my neck, back and wrists from office jobs, I finally caved and visited a chiropractor for the first time. Luckily, I found Alliance on Yelp and chose Dr. Jandial based on all the good reviews of his attitude and knowledge. I was very leery of chiropractic stuff but Jandial was pretty patient and honest with me about their theories and methods. I've been coming once or twice a week for adjustments ($45) and muscle stimulation (an additional $10) for the past few months and have never felt better. The office staff is always welcoming, helpful, and smart. I hate coming to places where the office staff has an attitude - there's no such thing here. They are also very community oriented! This past week they had a Toys for Tots event with free food, providing free services in exchange for a toy donation. They're located a few minutes away from the Millbrae Caltrain/BART station as well. Went to see Dr. Balch for a pinched nerve in my neck. My whole right neck/shoulder/arm region was in such pain, and I couldn't sleep the whole night through. Pain subsided substantially within a week and a half of treatment. After three weeks I feel completely rejuvenated - so happy to be better going into the busy holiday season. I see Dr. Jandial, and he is fantastic! I would recommend him to anyone, but especially to those who are nervous about chiropractic. He has excellent bedside manner, and also takes the time to really explain everything he does regarding patient care. The office staff is friendly and quick to respond, and making an appointment is never difficult. The office is located in a very convenient spot too. He is honest and sincere, and will never push you to do something that isn't right for your healing plan. Dr. Balch is wonderful. I've had back pain for a while and he always manages to crack it. They use the muscle stimulation which is very relaxing and helps with the tension. I've also gotten deep tissue massages there with Steve, which are great. It's nice to be able to do everything all at once. Easy to get appointments and parking is great! This is the first and only place I've been for chiropractic work. I was first examined by Dr. Isero a couple years ago, and he's been treating me ever since. From the initial evaluation, to the continuing adjustments, I'm always treated professionally just like my back and neck. I'm one of the 30% or so who feels some discomfort for the day following the adjustment, but it almost always clears up. I have a few tricky spots where the pain tends to linger, but the hot towels and EStim treatment before adjustment loosen things up so that there is no problem getting things to move when the time comes. They are great about making late appointments, and I've had no problems with them taking my insurance. read more

The experience I had with my former chiropractic was not a pleasant one. I was charged over $3000 for a whole treatment, and after half a year my neck pain did not get better. Doctor Balch was highly recommended by a family friend. My sister was the first to try and she loved him! She was also a former client of the chiropractic that charged me $3k so I know I could trust her opinions. In the consultation, I already knew I went to the right place. Doctor Balch took his time to examine my neck and spine, and he did such a wonderful job adjusting my neck and back. One treatment with Doctor Balch was already better than ever. I didn't feel pressured by the staff at all to buy any packages, but I did so anyways because it is a great deal. Btw, Cindy at the front desk is the sweetest girl ever! My neck pain has gone away but I recently gotten into a car accident. Doctor Balch took care of my lower back pains, but I am still seeing him regularly to make sure everything is okay. Just like one of the other reviews, I came in contact with Dr. Isero through a lactation consultant back in 2007 I was suffering from Mastitis, I went to see him but reluctant to the outcome, to my surprise I felt such level of relief from the first visit . I knew this facility and more important Dr. Isero was genuine about caring and sympathizing with the patients needs, I then switch to him for my lower back care, I been going to his office for the last 3 years on a monthly basis I feel great every time I have treatment, the staff is very helpful, friendly. I've had chronic vertigo and migranes for over 5 years. I never thought anyone would be able to help me with this! I couldn't sleep at night, but after seeing Dr. Balch several times, I was able to sleep more comfortably. I was sleeping with 5 pillows, but with Dr. Balch's help, I was able to sleep with 2. As far as my migranes go.. I was having about two migranes a week that were very tough to deal with. Since seeing Dr. Balch, my migranes have diminished to about 1 or 2 a month. I recommend Dr. Balch to anyone who has chronic pain. He is EVERYTHING: very caring, sweet, funny, and ALWAYS makes time for clients. Not only is he great, but the ladies at the front are wonderful as well. They make sure the times fit in with MY schedule and really care about customer service. Office staff refused to provide itemized massage therapy receipts (for Health Savings Account reimbursement) just hours after my husband and I left the office because we're "not established patients with the practice." I asked for a simple explanation of services on a company letterhead and that was also refused... which makes NO SENSE. I am a medical provider myself and know that creation of such a document for Health Savings Account reimbursement purposes is a simple, quick task to complete for patients, well-established within a practice or not. read more

This place was great, and now it's awesome. The kooky receptionist is gone, and has been replaced with the very capable, very pleasant Jenn (who is also a reiki master!). They also brought on Maryanne, who is one of the best masseuses I have ever experienced. (Forget you read this if it means I have to compete with you for Saturday appointments.) And, ultimately, Lisa and Dr. Isero still rock. Lisa keeps everything with the insurance companies running smoothly (which we all know is no small feat) and is the epitome of organized. And I can't recommend Dr. Isero highly enough. I have much respect for his concern for true healthfulness (not meds or stop-gap measures) and his positivity. I had a bulged disk in my lower back causing my sciatic nerve to be pinched. The pain was excruciating from my lower back all the way down to my left foot... it hurt to walk, stand, or sit. My regular doc prescribed muscle relaxers which didn't help, so she wanted to try different meds. I didn't want to mask the problem with meds, I wanted to fix it, so a co-worker referred me to see Dr. Balch at Alliance Chiropractic. I found Alliance Chiropractic on Yelp, after battling TMJ for over a year. I had extreme muscle tension in my neck and jaw, severe clenching at night, soreness throughout the day, fullness in my ear, and was even starting to experience migraines as a result. I had seen an acupuncturist, a massage therapist, and had a custom mouth guard made; they each helped temporarily but nothing actually helped to resolve the problem. After my massage therapist suggested chiropractic care, I turned to yelp for guidance and found Alliance. I've been seeing Dr. Jandial since August and I couldn't be happier. He has been extremely helpful in helping me to understand the pain, and how treatment works. He set the expectation clearly, letting me know it takes time to heal and that I am responsible for my healing process, if I want results I must be consistent with treatment. Once we started treatment I started to feel improvements, almost immediately, and over time there has been a drastic change. I no longer experience any of the pain, soreness comes and goes on occasion but is about 90% less painful than it was before treatment. Dr. Jandial is great with helping you feel comfortable with chiropractic care, sincerely listens to your complaints and does a great job treating the problem. I highly recommend Alliance Chiropractic, I tell everyone about it and continue to go myself for treatment-though not as often as there is significantly less need to do so. I went there a couple weeks go after purchasing a special deal on Juice in the city and jeez what a waste of money that was. Steve is the one who gave me the hour massage. All I can say is my cat could have probably given me a somehow better massage. This is honestly the worst massage I ever got in my life. Steve had no grip, he was most likely poking my back. My best friend recommended this chiropractor to me, so I gave it a shot. I bought the deal $40 for a $77 session on yelp to save money. I'm glad I did! I went in and Dr. Isero was great! He helped me with my neck and lower back problem. I do need more sessions for the pain but I found out that it's covered through my insurance so the deal will cover up to about 4 sessions which I'm excited for. After this one visit I feel great! I can only comment on the massage services but I just need to say that Steve O'Neill has got to be the best massage therapist EVER. I came to him on a Groupon or Living Social deal (can't remember which one) with a few bad massage experiences in my past. I was a bit hesistant to try again but I knew if I found someone good it would be life changing. He is attentive to areas you want to focus on and constantly checks on your comfortability. Recurrent neck pain is truly a pain in the neck! I was also getting monthly deep tissue massages at Saine Saine which I won't give up as I love that place. However, the pain would always come back. My doc threw out the idea of seeing a chiropractor but I couldn't imagine someone messing with my neck! What if I get paralyzed! Well, I called Dr Balch's office and got in on the same day. He took an xray and actually showed me why I have pain. The 1st two vertebrae are practically dislocated from the last 3. It must be from multiple trauma with cumulative damage. He walked me through the philosophy of chiropractic work and is a very gentle guy with excellent bedside manner. Now, I'm actually looking forward to getting my neck cracked. It doesn't hurt with his expertise. He also hooks me up to these muscle stimulators with nice, relaxing heat. It's eased the pain and hopefully after several more visits, I'll be pain free! read more

Being a tall gal, I'm always appreciative when the chiropractor is taller than me and Dr. Balch is. I know... it's the simple things. On top of that, he's fantastic at his job. I always feel better and stand straighter when I leave his office. I also greatly appreciate that he never pressures me to book another appointment right then and there. I find that going occasionally works for me and have been turned off by pushy, "sales-y" chiros in the past. In addition, the offices is clean and tasteful. I've only had massage therapy here. Steve is magical. He detected a pretty subtle shoulder injury without me saying a word. After my massage, my back and shoulder felt a billion times better. He helped to alleviate the terrible pain that I suffered and educated me on exercises that I could do at home to cope with the pain.
