Unfortunately, this ended up being the worst lash studio experience I've had. For my first appointment, I requested a light, wispy set and explained that I wanted as many of my natural lashes filled as possible while keeping the fans light and natural. Vicky was nice and attentive to the style I wanted, but afterward I noticed quite a few natural lashes had been left unlashed. She also seemed rushed toward the end because her next client was already waiting. I contacted the studio the next day and asked if they could make the set slightly fuller. Ashley handled the adjustment, and from the moment I arrived, she was extremely cold and unfriendly. Instead of greeting me, she immediately asked, "What do you need fixed?" When I tried pointing out the sparse areas, she interrupted me and said, "I can't see what you're pointing to. Lay down." I explained that I liked the original style and simply wanted the bare natural lashes filled. Instead, my lashes came out significantly darker and thicker, uneven between both eyes, and with little attention to the original mapping. When I told her I wanted the lighter fans Vicky had used, she responded, "Well, I don't know what she did, so I can't do the same style." This was surprising considering they work and train under the same studio. I eventually left dissatisfied and booked at another studio the following week. During that week, my lashes became increasingly uncomfortable and felt like they were pulling on each other. When the other artist removed them, she took photos confirming that multiple lashes were stuck together. In some areas, approximately 3-4 natural lashes were glued to a single fan, and some fans were glued together as well. The removal was difficult and painful due to Ashley and Vicky's poor application. Although Vicky was much nicer and did a better job with the styling, some of her original application also had natural lashes stuck together. The bases of the lashes were very boxy too, which explains why I felt like the lashes were poking my eyelid anytime I closed my eyes. As a lash artist myself, I don't leave a review like this lightly. Proper isolation is extremely important for the health and integrity of natural lashes. Between the application issues and the way my concerns were handled, I unfortunately cannot recommend Moon Lash. The experience showed a lack of consistency between artists, poor customer service, and most importantly, a lack of attention to natural lash health.

I love PERFECTION and I found it by Christine at Allen James Salon. I read such great reviews about Christine & that I needed my nails to be absolutely flawless. She listened, she was focused, and the best part was that she checked with me every single step of the way to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, which I love. I've never been so impressed not only with just her work but her customer service as well. She told me to relax bc it's my time, & she also made sure that I had something to drink (the salon provides sodas, water, coffee, etc...) I just couldn't be happier with her. Her prices were reasonable and she takes credit card via square (the cell phone card scanner.) The salon is very easy to find and has good parking lot. The atmosphere is relaxed and clean. There are even a few pots of fresh flowers, which I like. I was very impressed and I'm never getting my nails done by anyone else again, for sure... Gotta love her!!! read more

This is for my favorite Christine Trinh Being a man, it was kind of hard for me to accept the idea of a pedi, my wife insisted that I should try it at least once, that is when I started going to see her pedicurist and started liking the idea but kept bouncing around between few of them because i wasn't very happy until I finally found Christine about 5 years ago and now I am hooked (-: , not only that she is a perfectionist at what she does but she is also very caring, gentle and very accommodating to my crazy schedule, she even came in one time on her day off to take are of me because i needed them done before heading out of town on a long trip, I followed christine from her old salon to Allen James and will be willing to do that again if I need to just to stay with her, Thank you Christine read more

This review is for Ashley, who I followed from another salon. She is the kindest, most knowledgeable, and talented stylist that I've ever come across. I'm demanding and particular about my hair and she always goes above and beyond to help me achieve what I want while keeping my hair healthy. I have naturally dark brown hair and she lifted me to platinum and then silver. Cutting, styling, coloring...she can do it all. I appreciate that she is a perfectionist, and she branches out using a variety of products. I almost thought she was too good to be true, but after dozens of visits I'm certain that she's a rare unicorn. The studio is very welcoming, cozy, and clean. I have had the same hair stylist for 15+ years and while Jaynee has not been at Allen James Salon for all of that time, it is a professional and friendly atmosphere that I am very comfortable in. The staff is friendly even if they are not working with you. Everyone from the receptionist to the stylists and their assistants offer a smile and a beverage. Jaynee is wonderful - she knows exactly how I like my hair even using special shampoo and conditioner because of my allergies. My manicurist, Christine, is also great. I am hard on my nails and she is a focused technician who performs a miracle every 2 weeks. Working with Jaynee and Christine at AJS is a relaxing time for myself with a great end result every time. I am very happy I found Kayla at Allen James Salon. I moved to Tustin and had to drive 45 miles to the hair stylist I had been using for years. I didn't think I would find anyone who could dye my hair the way I like it. At one point I just couldn't take the whole day to go and get my hair done and I decided to try my local salon - James Allen. I was introduced to Kayla and from day one she matched the colors and did a beautiful job. I would even say she is BETTER than my prior stylist and I had a number of new compliments from friends. Shannan has been cutting and coloring my hair for 25 years! I have followed her from salon to salon and then to her own salon. I would go to no one else for color and cut. My 3 daughters have also been going to Shannan. They do not live locally any longer , but still on occasion will make the drive to the OC for a do. I took my sister here a couple weeks ago to get her nails done for her wedding and they looked amazing! my sister absolutely loved her nails. Thanks Rojan for doing such an amazing job on her nails!! Christine is efficient and does her work with virtually no discomfort or pain to my fingers. This is important to me, because I have very sensitive cuticles. Cassy worked on my hair and left it amazing, she asked me a ton of questions regarding my hair history, what I was looking for, and what I wanted for my hair and care for the future to make it easy for me to manage due to me living in a different state. Cassy was very sweet and very nice to talk to. She didn't mind me having my newborn there and actually offered to help me when she was crying. Cassy is such an amazing person and I will be coming back to get my hair done when I am visiting family in CA.
