I found this rare gem one day when I was shopping at Marshalls. This place is super cute! The layout's like a U shape, so it's spacious and has an adorable little waiting room area that's always decorated for the holidays with goodies. My appointments have been with Swan and I've seen her about 3 times now. She is so awesome! She gives the best scalp massages, she's attentive in listening to what I want and gives great suggestions based on my hair type. I came here frantically seeking a Brazilian Blowout because my hair had been super frizzy. Mona gave me the treatment and charged me $180. At the end of my apmt, I was so happy, it looked great! Well, it only lasted on my hair 2 weeks. It is supposed to last 3 to 4 months, even on frizzy hair. Then, I asked her if she could fix it because that is a lot of $$$ to spend on a treatment. She said she would do it for free - all she did was wash it with Brazilian blowout shampoo and style it. It looked fine for 1 day, then it rained and my hair turned frizzy again. The fix wasn't "free" - she sold me a hair mask for another $30 and it didn't do any good at all on my hair. So. I was out $210 for nothing. Go here at your own risk!! read more

I was not told of this on the phone, so I basically drove out here, waited outside in the sun past my appointment time because customers aren't allowed to wait inside, and then came in to be told this. What's worse is that for some reason she grabbed my phone from me when I was showing her the voucher and was handling it and going about it without even asking...hello...COVID times? I told her to please not touch my phone, so she gave it back and did bring a towel to wipe it but really? I am so thankful that I found Ella. Ella is very talented hairdresser. She not only listens to what you want but she is able to make recommendations to get the best use out of your hair. I have been trying to get my hair to grow with little success until Ella started cutting it in a way that's actually helped to create growth. My friend told me about this salon. I also saw it had a good yelp rating so I decided to walk in to get my hair cut. The salon was very clean and open. I was greeted and told it would be about 15 minutes. That's not bad for a walk in. I met Tella and she was such a joy to talk to. She studied my hair and discussed options with a big smile on her face. She washed my hair with an amazing scalp massage and shoulder massage. It was so relaxing! Then she took her time with my hair being very precise with each cut. She did an amazing cut working around my naturally curly hair. This is a bit of an odd review in that I've never gotten my hair cut at EllaBella, but I feel compelled anyway. My mothers gets her hair cut and nails done at EllaBella every so often, and has been for many years. The biggest change we've had was that since she had a couple of strokes, her mobility is quite impacted, and her ability to tend to her own hair, etc. has really declined. Her trips to EllaBella are an absolute delight and treat. I have been coming here for YEARS, and it is always 5-star service. First off, Ellabella Salon is located in the best plaza, although it gets busy, there's always parking in the rear. If I am running a tad early, I just pop over to Marshall's/Dollartree/Coffee spot on the corner. Secondly, the customer service is amazing. I was initially a walk-in, and got in by calling the salon's main phone number. I was in an appointment within 10 minutes. The guy who answers the phone is always so sweet and ON IT. I have been dying to try the Shellac by CND since it lasts for two weeks and isn't harsh on the nails to remove. I looked up local salons on the Shellac website and called a few. I booked an appointment with Lori at Jesse Daniel Salon after she told me she was amazing at doing French manicures with the Shellac The entry of the salon is nice and they sell Bumble and Bumble products. No one was overly eager to help me when I walked in the door. So, I stood there awkwardly for a few minutes. Lori walked me back to the manicure stations. As soon as she started working, I knew this wasn't going to be all I had hoped.... She was shaking, pretty badly. Not only her hands but her whole body. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she might have been nervous (although she told me several times that she has been doing nails forever) However, it did not get any better. She went through the motions of a manicure, but showed not skill at using the tools. She hardly clipped any of my cuticles and my nails were not even filed. She did not even use lotion on my hands/arms! Then, she started the Shellac process. She painted on a layer much to thick and opaque for a French manicure. I bit my tongue to see where she was going with this.... after her second coat at a disastrous attempt at a white tip for French I told here this is not what I wanted. I asked her to take it off. The next ten minutes were pretty tense. But, I did not loose my cool as I typically do in these situations. She said, "Well, I wont charge you the full $45, I will just charge you $20 for the manicure". I politely said, "I will not pay for services that were not rendered". I gave her $5 and walked away. The Shellac does come off very easily TOTAL PLUS! Looks like I just need to find the right person to do it. BOTTOM LINE: Horrible manicure. Over promised, under delivered. read more

This is about Karen, from Groupon. My experience with her was pretty bad. I purchased Groupon, based on the seemingly good reviews. She was very hard to get a hold of, I had to text back and forth, even I gave her a whole week she never wanted to commit to time in advance, and just told me twice she would let me know when she has openings. Again I never heard back, so I had to reach out again after giving her 6 days (on the day I requested for the haircut). Finally she had an opening when I texted... where she was supposed to "let me know". (6 days and 3 text to get her reply, finally on the requested day... ) It took 45 min to get there due to heavy 55 traffic ...... She did not look happy since I was there with Groupon, she complained several times that this is why she doesn't want people to buy Groupon...WTF!? Then do not try to sell her business there. Then after spending 10 min what to do with my hair, she told me there will be additional $20 unless I chop off the hair to very short. The Groupon was $29, and now it's $49!!!? She said more than a few times that I can cancel Groupon.... it was clear that she did not want to do my hair. After having wasted 10 days just to hear back from her (since she was unresponsive) and 45 min in driving, I just left. I went back and looked at Groupon, it says nothing about additional big charge for the length. It only says.... "Additional fees may apply for extra color or highlights." A shame... I don't really understand why someone was commenting that she was professional... ?? read more

Manicure & Pedicure review The chair: wheeled computer chair The foot tub: plug in portable and covered in a plastic bag. The cute salon actually really big with nice seating areas at the front; the nail area is a small desk in the back corner. I called to ask about it and was told it was 1 1/2 manicure and pedicure (not just painting) and made an appointment 2 months in advance. I was about 20 min late (stuck at work since my coworker was out sick) and called them to let them know. I would have asked to switch days or times but then I would have lost the money I had already paid for it. When I got there I had to wait another 15 min. Then the lady lectured me about traffic and leaving early (this is after explaining my sick coworker and apologizing). She said she only had time (1hr) to do either hands or feet which I can understand so I asked for feet. She spent a little over ten minutes cutting and filing my toe nails and about five painting them. My nails were cut uneven. There was paint on only part of the nails. (also paint on my toes). The unstable chair probably didn't help. She doesn't scrub/remove callouses/massage like most places. I asked her to please file the sharp corners and somehow she made my nails sharper. Her next appointment wasn't due for another 40 min or 25 (she kept changing the time) at this point and she asked if I wanted to file my nails and she'd paint them quickly. I said ok and started filing my nails. She just kept saying "done yet" over and over and then started lecturing me about other people and how everyone was always late. So I said never mind, I'll just go home and paint them This is when she just got up and left without even looking at me. This is the worst pedicure, if you can even call it that, that I have ever had. The only good thing was I found a place that sells B&B products. I had considered coming to get my haircut here, but now I just get frustrated when I think about this place. read more

Sorry but I really don't like how my hair came out. I was put with Kate, on a Saturday morning. I asked to clean up the split ends. I'd still like to keep the length, but have lots of layers and side sweeping bang... she seems to have hit these requests... BUT it just wasn't done well. The layers are choppy and chunky. My layers aren't smooth and don't flow together. She didn't use a razor to blend but who am I to say if that's needed? But that's what I'm use to seeing, or at least some blending with the scissors (idk what you call it but when they angle down and cut?... haha horrible w/ the description, sorry...) Bottom line it didn't seem like she took the time to blend the layers, and it shows. And when it came to styling... It looked horrible. She had to use a curling iron to shape it... which I thought was odd. And even with that, it didn't really look right. I ended up shaking it out and restyling the best I could when I got home. Just to note, I have fairly thick, straight, long hair. It's never been permed or colored. I'd consider my hair easy to manage and I don't think I was asking for too much. I tried to give my hair a few days, and myself a few days to settle... and I still don't like it. Sorry but no go... can't say much for other stylists and the facilities themselves look clean and nice... but if you get put with Kate, I'd suggest requesting someone else. read more
