I am leaving this review to document my experience and allow others to make an informed decision. Before this appointment, I had spent approximately 11 months growing out 6 inches of my natural hair and had not bleached my hair in over 5 years. I had previous black box dye and my natural hair color was already brown, and my goal for this appointment was simply to achieve an all-over dark brown result. During my consultation, I expressed concerns about excessive bleaching and repeatedly discussed preserving the health of my hair. All I was told was that we'd bleach the box dye out with a method to avoid damage. Despite those discussions, my hair was bleached from roots to ends during an appointment that lasted approximately 9.5 hours. This was especially concerning because my natural growth had taken nearly a year to grow out and had not been exposed to bleach in years. I went into the appointment expecting a dark brown color result, not a full root-to-end bleaching process. Immediately after the appointment, I documented the condition of my hair through timestamped photos, videos, and written communications. The issue was never simply that I disliked the color. My concern was the condition my hair was left in after the service. My hair became severely dry, gummy hair , overprocessed, uneven in tone, difficult to manage, and showed visible damage that was not present before the appointment. I requested a refund shortly after (30mins after) the service because of the condition my hair was left in. While a refund was eventually provided, a refund does not restore years of hair growth, reverse bleach damage, or cover the ongoing costs of corrective treatments, professional consultations, hair repair products, and future services now required to address the condition of my hair. I have preserved photos, videos, timestamps, messages, and communications regarding the consultation, appointment, and condition of my hair immediately afterward. This review is based solely on my personal experience. Anyone considering a major color service should make sure they fully understand exactly what processing will be performed and how it may affect the health and integrity of their hair before proceeding. read more

What makes a good stylist? To me, it's listening skills (in addition to knowing how to style all hair types). Unfortunately for me and my hair, that was not the experience I had at cranberries. I came to see Leah for the first time and I appreciated she took me on with short notice. I was desperate for a haircut and I had a photo of myself with shorter hair as inspiration. She looked at it but clearly didn't care or pay attention cause my hair is 3 inches shorter than what I asked for. I asked for length around my chest. My hair it at my shoulders. I didn't realize until it was too late nor did I say anything in person because what is she going to do, glue my hair back?? I probably could handle the shorter length if it was cut properly but it was completely chopped in an ugly, elementary way. I had to come home and clean up the style myself cause it was such a bad chop. Imagine giving someone $100 for this! I'm posting to maybe help someone choose the stylist right for them in the future. I didn't see any reviews for Leah and should have took that as a sign. Lesson learned, I won't be back! read more

My hairdresser moved out of state, so I have been searching high and low for a new place. This salon is closer to my home, so I gave them a call and they were able to fit me in on pretty short notice, which I greatly appreciated. When I arrived, I was relieved to see that they adhere to the restrictions put in place in regards to the pandemic. It's a big salon, but they only allowed two customers to be booked within the same time frame and we sat a good 15 feet away from each other. Everyone had masks. My stylist was Gabby, who was the fledgling stylist at the salon that day from what I gathered--and while most would be wary of this, I found Gabby attentive to what I was looking for - and not afraid to ask questions if she was at all uncertain. When my hair was done- I loved it!!!! She did exactly what I had in mind and charged an incredibly reasonable fee. Gabby is awesome! I have already since gone back- and I think at this point- it's save to say that I have found my new go to. This review is for Gabriela. I complimented two of my coworkers on their hair and they both referred me to go see her. The salon is close to my work so I decided to give it a try. It had been a couple years since I had done anything to my hair. I asked for a balayage and to go as light as possible in one try. She made it happen. She kept my natural hair color as my base, and just added highlights. It's been over a month now and I'm still very happy with my results! So far, my hair feels pretty healthy. She did a great job making sure the bleach wasn't left too long. I was comfortable the entire time and was pleased with her all of her attentiveness. My daughter on the fly wanted to get highlights since it's summer. I tried calling this salon in the evening yesterday 4 X's when it said it was open, no one answered. So I called again this morning, knowing we are on the fly & so we may not get an appointment. The girl was friendly who answered, said we may not get in today which was totally totally fine & expected, not a problem. She did put me down in case there was a cancelation. She said the highlights (which I know are only 5 foils deep in reality) was going to be $65 according to a stylist there. I'm thinking that is steep but whatever, not a huge deal. The salon later called to let me know of a cancelation. I put our name in to confirm. The receptionist tells me that it is a different stylist and they are not sure what their pricing would be. I politely made it clear I was not going to go over $65 for a few highlights. She went to the stylist, was hesitant in her voice with me when she came back, asked me if my daughter was getting a cut also, I say no, but she still puts my name down to confirm appointment. End of call. 5-10 minutes later, my phone rings & it is the salon again. "The stylist (who's name is Chris by the way) says that that price is not going to work for him, sorry." Like he already committed to seeing us & then they're going to call us to cancel us because most likely a better profit came around after? First of all, my daughter is almost 12. I used to work on hair so I know you prepare 5-6 different foils on a small head, when done, have her sit in another chair while ya work on another client. You rinse her off in sink (which if you have salon help someone else does it, not you the stylist) , comb, check your work, maybe blow dry, done. I thought $65 was steep but was willing to pay but what about the above process makes it more than $65? Lol. But what I think really happened is after our call, there was someone with a cut & color on waiting list and bcz it was more revenue, they called to cancel us. I'm a loyal person so had they accepted us @ $65 & it was a good job, I would go to them for me, my daughter & all special school events for my daughter. I was excited to try this salon out because everyone here had such great reviews but whoever Chris is, ruined that for me & unfortunately my daughter who was excited to go. No thank you. My hairstylist, Claudia, has been telling me to get a Brazilian Blowout for literally the last 5 years. I'm a red head and my hair gets SO frizzy and curly and it is a PAIN to deal with.
