In all transparency, I was actually looking for another Allegro restaurant in a neighboring vicinity (oops) and GPS lead me here. Remind me to get GPS a Christmas card this year! What a gem! The ambiance is en pointe! I enjoyed the yellow heirloom tomatoes with fresh burrata with basil pesto and drizzled in balsamic. Beautiful. I slurped my way through seared scallops with sun dried tomatoes and Kalimanta olives over a white cream sauce. And I finished off with a lovely crème brûlée topped with fresh berries. Used to love going here for appetizers and drinks at the bar. All of our favorites are now gone . The new menu, specifically for appetizers wasn't appealing in the least. We wound up oderinf the calamari and the margarita pizza. It took quite a while to get our orders. To top it off the calamari came out not warm at all. In addition it was mushy ...totally made for an unappetizing experience. The pizza was fine but not as good as a flatbread ...very doughy and just ok. My daughter and I tried Allegro for the first time on Friday night. We had a very good dinner and really good drinks. The one thing that we really enjoyed was our waitress Cherish. She was super friendly and was having a nice conversations with all of her tables outside on the patio. When we come back we will ask to sit in her section. So I really hate to leave a bad review because the food was delicious. My friend and I went to Allegro Saturday evening for dinner and were shocked by the extremely rude attitude of the manager. I ordered a dirty martini, extra dirty with grey goose which is always my drink of choice as a starter before dinner. We ordered an appetizer, salad, and two pasta dishes. When the dirty martini came I tasted it and it was horrible. My friend had a glass a wine and She wondered why I was not drinking my drink. I told her it was horrible, and I had a very disappointing look on my face. I told her that I was going to order a glass of wine because I didn't like the martini whatsoever. My friend took a drink of the martini and agreed that it was horrible. She told me that I should tell the waiter that the drink was bad and request a glass of wine. I called our waiter. I believe his name was Matt and I told him about the dirty martini and requested to have a glass of wine. I never told him that I didn't want pay for the martini I just asked for a glass of wine. I was eventually approached by this female, who identified herself as a manager and I believe her name was Stephanie. I am not really sure. She called me out in front of everybody and asked me what was wrong with the martini. I told her that it did not taste good and that I asked for a glass of wine instead. I also told her that my friend tasted it, and she also felt it was a horrible, dirty martini. She raised her voice and told me that a martini only has vodka and olive juice and then I shouldn't of ordered it if I don't like what's in it. She was so rude and got the attention of all the other customers surrounding us and she drew the attention to our table. I could not believe how rude she was. I told her to go ahead and take a drink if she wanted to because it was a horrible martini. Anyways, I told her to bring me a glass of wine. When the bill came, they deducted the $22 off the bill for the dirty martini which was not worth that horrible drink. Our waiter was so embarrassed, and he apologize for her attitude and behavior. Although they comp the drink, I still could not believe that she treated us that way and basically let all the customers around us know there was an issue with the drink. I probably would have rather had her charge us for the drink and just know not to ever order a dirty martini at that restaurant. Came here for my departments holiday lunch yesterday and unfortunately it was not very memorable. The customer service was decent and our server (forgot her name) was friendly and attentive with refilling our waters. Thing is, the customer service isn't what has deterred me from coming back. It was the food. The chef/line cooks have no vision for presentation. It was as if they just blanched the noodles , dumped it in the bowl, threw in the veggies and mixed it with a fork. Bread, Pasta (25.00) and wine were delicious, Bf order braised short rib (33.00) came with horseradish mashed potatoes which were too strong on the horseradish and the side veggies were over seasoned snow peas and carrots and for 33 dollars I would expect better for this dish. The horseradish mashed potatoes really threw the whole plate off and when we asked to get regular they said that they were already pre made and it wasn't an option to get regular mashed potatoes. Such a disappointment, I used to really like this place. But it appears their quality has gone down, down, down. I had the "Salmone Con Due Salse" and it was practically nonedble, salmon was somehow overcooked on the outside, while still raw in the middle and the entire thing was soggy. The pasta was a soggy, soupy mess with ZERO flavor. My wife had to have the waitress take her cocktail back because it was insanely bitter and gave her a stomach ache. I made a reservation last night for 4.45 but was late. Somehow , the hostess made the tables for seven of us. Justine was our server. We had fried calamari and capriccio for appetizers. They were good. We had each our meals. However, I was disappointed that Osso boco was unavailable last night. We were not late yet it was unavailable on the menu. Justine was stretched out to many tables. About the tables, they are quite tight considering the spaces are limited. The ambience is nice. Italian words written on the corners of the walls. We will return hopefully to try the Osso boco dish that I crave. read more

Recent visit. Went in around 8pm, a little late for dinner and it was cold out so I was worried it wouldn't be great, but I was wrong. The patio was so warm we didn't need our big jackets but still had sweaters on. We got the mussels and clams in white sauce and shared a linguine Alfredo. It was VERY good. Mussel and calm sauce was so good I kept scooping the juices onto my pasta. My favorite part was the fresh bread. They bring olive oil and balsamic to the table, the bread is a mix of breads, they were all great with a pre dinner drink they tasted amazing soaked up in the mussels and clam sauce. The Alfredo was perfect size for splitting. The sauce was creamy and mild. The waitress was fast and friendly. Overall, I was very satisfied with the visit. It is a very nice spot for a date.
