Terrible service from start to finish. We had automatic payments set up and thought our bill was being paid. Instead, they had our account marked as disconnected and then demanded we back pay for internet we supposedly "owed." Not our fault they can't manage their own billing system. We've reached out multiple times to Barry, and the so-called customer service manager, and have gotten ZERO response--no replies to emails, no returned phone calls. Completely unprofessional and shady. And now, even after we paid, they shut our internet off AGAIN. Unbelievable. They weren't billing us, yet somehow it's our problem? This company is a joke. I was recently notified that my account was delinquent. I logged into the the AllWest smart hub to confirm, sure enough they stated I had not paid my bill in June 2026. The thing is, I mailed a paper check like I always do via USPS, (using appropriate postage and the pre-addressed envelope that comes in each months bill). I pulled my bank statement, found the check number then went to the local bank branch and had them copy the front and back side of the check for me. The photocopy of the check shows the date the check was written and when it was posted/processed for payment. Funny thing, Allwest's account team categorically state they never received payment. How is it that the USPS can deliver the payment to their processing facility where the paper check is scanned, deposited into the service provider's bank for processing but never entered into their system as having been paid??? I reached out to Allwest's service desk via their smart hub portal and shared with them the check number, the date it was written, the date the check was posted and then provided them with the photographic copy of the check (front and back). They told me the problem was my bank had issues with "bill pay," which doesn't concern us because we don't use that service, we use paper checks to create a paper trail. Shortly after providing them with indisputable photographic evidence I had paid the June 2026 bill on time, I received an automated message stating they were going to disconnect my service if payment was not received by July 13th. Talk about adding insult to injury! The accounting department needs to be forensically audited by the FTC, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and be red flagged by the Better Business Bureau. If they have done this to me, who else are they doing this to? The customer service reps treated me with a dismissive and condescending attitude, refusing to acknowledge any blame in the loss of my payment. I've only been with AllWest since February 2026 and wonder if this was a bad move as they've caused me an inordinate amount of stress and turmoil over this billing issue. I pay my bills on time, every time and now this company has the audacity to be smudge my reputation because of their negligence and/or fraudulent practices. A warning to all who consider AllWest Fiber, do your homework, look very carefully at their accounts department before you ever consider purchasing service through them. Internet is great when it works, but there are outages often and good luck ever getting a person on the line. Even scheduling a callback just gets a recording saying, "we're sorry, there are no agents available to call you at this time". read more

I did not sign up for this service. A salesman named Kendrick came to my door, I asked for a brochure so I could compare prices and he was on his way. I did not sign up or consent to any installation. I woke up on May 12, 2025 to the sound of foot steps on my roof. A crew had come on to my property and started installing wires without my permission. So violating and dangerous. I told them promptly to get the hell off of my house and out of my yard. I called the supervisor who gave a pathetic apology and blamed it on the sales team. The police are informed and no one from this company is allowed to step foot on my property for any reason. I am extremely upset. Horrible business practice. I will be telling anyone who will listen about this. read more

Worst service provider I've ever had I've had outages every week since starting with them. They have goodish service and everyone is polite but the basic function of having the internet is the worst experience I've ever had. I will create a ticket get a phone call and fix things. They will last for 2 or 3 days then they will break again. I think they perhaps don't have capacity or enough Ip addresses. read more

We have their fast internet service and have had no problems. I wish they would expand their TV programing, and we have asked, to no avail! It would be great to get rid of the dish on the roof and the problem of no reception when a cloud passes. I know many people feel the same as I do, but they don't seem to care. read more

First I want to say that I have no issues as of now with my internet so far the service is good for what I use it for. I work from home. The value is so much better for me than xFinity so that alone is a winner. The staff over the phone is very friendly. However the staff that comes in to actually hook you up is another. I had advised customer service that we will have two separate accounts one for upstairs and one for downstairs as I have a family downstairs. They told me that would not be a problem. So when the technicians came they were surprised and said they were unable to do so and we would need to call to reschedule. So, they completed the internet hookup upstairs and left. So we called and this took weeks for someone to come out, the same two people came here and they checked out everything and said oops noone came to splice it. So he said someone will call you to get permission to access the box on my house so they can splice it then customer service will call you and schedule a new time and it should be done within the week. No one called however no one came to splice it either. Now a new tech came to the door. As we did not get a txt or call with a heads up I totally forgot that someone was coming. I told him please give me a moment to put my dogs away. This man did not greet me just gave me a pissy look. So when he came in he said I just need to know where you want the wires to go through. We gave him the information, he wanted to drill a separate hole than the one that we had for Xfinity. I was trying to not have all these holes throughout my house but he talked me into it however I said make sure you seal around it really well, he said he would. He then said I left my tool with someone else I will be right back. I thought weird but ok. He did come back. He apparently got into a pissing contest with my daughters fiancé because he asks me if he was my son and I told him no. He then starts talking bad about him asking me what kind of job he had and talking about the smell (apparently one of the cats took a dump) and was just being very rude and disrespectful. I was so shocked, I had never had this experience with any technician coming into my home. Also he apparently was talking negatively about the previous techs and he was claiming to be their boss. WOW! So anyway, when he was finishing up he said that he needed to run to home depot to get silicone. He left and never came back. I went out to inspect and he had pulled a wire that was secured to my house out and did not resecure it and the entry point was of course not sealed and the little plug that was to go into the hole was not inserted. They installed FIOS in our neighborhood, Hideout in November 2019. I asked for 50 MB's which gives us good streaming and download. Always test good when I do a speed test on Ookla. Haven't had any glitches in 5 months. It is faster and more consistent than our previous service, Utah Broadband, UBB. UBB was also pretty good service, but not as much band width. read more

After using this company for about 18 years I can only say their service AND THEIR SERVICE PERSONNEL have gone into a black hole. One star is too good. They do not answer their phones, in fact, their "leave a message" goes back to "hold on for the next operator", but the next operator, depending, can be a narcissist freak of nature who continually twists what you are saying as to be able to NOT SERVE YOU. After calling back several times, waiting on hold for more than an hour, I got a male rep, and not sure how, but after explaining my multiple problems, the phone cut off. So back to calling/holding, after 30 minutes a female, heavy breath to exaggerate her annoyance with the initial problem/complaint that they turned my phone BILLING cycle back on after vacation hold, but they never bothered to turn THEIR ROUTER/SYSTEM back on so that service could be used. So they just forgot that part, but the billing, yeah, they didn't forget that part! AFTER YEARS OF PAYING FOR AN EXTRA PHONE LINE I NEVER USED BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO HAVE IT IN ORDER TO HAVE DSL, which I was told by a tech a few days ago I DID NOT HAVE TO HAVE because they create a different number for the DSL and bill for that number (if you don't carry a phone number, btw, which included extras like caller-ID for all these years, plus other add ons that if I didn't have the phone number, I would never have been billed for! So after calling twice today, holding and recalling, trying to leave a message (which goes back to "hold on, and wait), thus resulting in 2 hours holding THUS FAR, I got a super smartass, heavy breath after every sentence I said, did not want to hear anything I said, kept twisting what I said and then trying to cut me like the call was over. NO ADDRESSING THE PROBLEM. IN FACT, SHE WAS SO ANGRY WITHIN 4 MINUTES, SHE SAID A SUPERVISOR WOULD CALL ME BACK, then asked if she resolved my problem. I said, no, but I need to get this billing addressed since you've been charging me for years for a phone line I never used. She said, "I have to call you back at the number on the bill" to discuss anything and hung up - WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO SPEAK. I waited about ten minutes, no call. So I went back for round 3 of holding, I'm still holding after 20 minutes. There was a call while I was on hold, but my phone wouldn't allow me to pick it up (it was from them, but likely because I was on hold, it wouldn't allow me to answer) BTW, on the bill, they have been padding, doubling charges for years, almost all of the 19 charges were for the telephone I had not used in years (the one they told me I had to have to keep DSL) Only 3 of the 19 regarded taxes. So CHECK YOUR BILLS, because I can only blame myself for the overcharges I've paid them for a good 10 of 18 years as they have kept duplicating charges and adding charges. Of course, I could take them to court and show the fraud, but my time is more valuable than that. CONCLUSION (maybe!) My third call I got a great guy, very patient, only been there a month, who back dated the bill two months because they had not provided me any access to the internet after vacation hold so why should they charge me for something I had no way to use! Because they are inept. They would be due the money had they simply flipped on the switch at the same time they removed the vacation hold, which is 6 months (I live in a summer home community where most people only come a month each year, so they have this vacation hold option for 6 months a year), but this year, due to Covid knew I was going to be away for a lot of months so this is the first year I ever took advantage of vacation hold option. This company has always been poorly run, but they have reduced their service by 90% of that poorness. They truly need to sell to a real company who knows how to organize all the details of a company. BTW, the third guy I got on the phone was A+, but he's new (1 month) and it seems like they all work remotely, so there is no supervisor over them to hear them! That narcissist girl needs NEVER to be in public service, she's over the top bad/horrible. People depend on internet for everything these days, there is even a complaint from a Colton on here who says his grandmother died because AllWest service was down and her "Life Alert" didn't work because it depended on her connection, which was down. All West has always been a company with poor service (18 years! I KNOW), and although I blame myself for not checking their years of padding and then more padding the bills (which are paid via autopay credit card), their service is 2021 is truly the worst I have ever had with any sort of utility company IN MY VERY LONG LIFE. I wasted my Sat and today trying to get these things fixed, and I hope that nice guy really got it done and it sticks, but I WILL BE CHECKING EVERY ALL WEST BILL forevermore. In rural towns where they know they are the only option for land lines and or Internet they just charge more. If by chance your internet goes out on a 3 day weekend forget getting any type of service. Then mysteriously on Tuesday morning at 8:00 am your internet is restored. Been with this company for 2 years non stop internet problems they send out technician that don't repair anything. They blame you saying it's inside your house and a technician has to come look. Schedule a time for technician to come no call now show. Then they want to send an off hour technician out and charge 130 bucks. Internet goes down 50 plus times a day. This is seriously the worst company ever!!! It is ridiculously over priced (which they do as they know they have a monopoly) and has the worst service EVER. First of all they require a technician to come out and literally plug the router into the wall - seriously that is all they did. Which of course you have to pay for. Then any time I have had to call they can't help me or at least don't seem to want to help me. I have had consistent technical issues and every time I call for support I am basically told someone will call me tomorrow. When I ask what I am suppose to do in the mean time I am basically told to suck it up. I understand that sometimes there needs to be additional expert support but every time?! And then to not give me a pro rated rate? When I asked about this I was basically told I had to pay for the service even when I am not getting any service (which one time was for several days). Whenever I mention who my service provider is people groan and say "they are the worst". Literally I do not know one person who has a positive impression of this company. If you are moving somewhere I would definitely make sure you have other options for internet providers because I don't know anyone who likes dealing with this company. Worst internet service on the planet. We have a new home with new fiber and our download speeds are 1.19 Mb/s. I have had technicians out three times and of course it is never on their end but always a problem with my router. Three routers later and the same worthless service still exists.
