Wasatch Broadband was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfect…read more On their website, it says: "Unapologetically the best internet in Utah. No hidden fees. No taxes. No data caps. No cancellation fees. No price hikes. Speeds always fast." This could not be more true. Other companies are kind of scammy and have a bunch of hidden stuff...not these guys! They are awesome! Since building my house and moving in, I have been in the biggest battle with companies to give me wifi. The city is rolling out fiber to everyone, which is causing a ton of issues for people who don't have fiber available to them yet. Essentially, companies will refuse to put wifi in because "one day I will probably have fiber". The company that rhymes with infinity was horrible to try to work with, my own cell phone carrier wouldn't help me, and the city couldn't care less either. It has been an extremely frustrating process. Wasatch Broadband was recommended to me from a friend. I reached out to Wasatch Broadband to see if they were willing to help get me wifi, but admittedly, my hopes were not that high. They responded to my text in a very timely manner and we went over the details. Y'all..these people were able to come to my house the next morning! They were there like 40 minutes early and there was a whole crew ready to work on my house. I am not entirely sure what they did but I magically have wifi in my house now. The prices are dang near unbeatable, especially for what you get. There was a whole crew that came to my house and they were all super respectful. I am so happy with the entire experience. I will be recommending Wasatch Broadband to everyone I know. I can't thank them enough!

What concerns me is that no one contacted me beforehand, left a notice, knocked on my door, or otherwise informed me that work would be taking place on my property frontage. I had seen crews working across the street to provide service to new neighbors, but I had no idea that work would also affect my yard. When I spoke with the workers, I was told this is the only access box on the street and that if additional neighbors request UTOPIA service in the future, similar work may need to be done again. In addition, the work area has obstructed access along the sidewalk. We have small children in the neighborhood who regularly ride their bikes, scooters, and play along this route. Today, the excavation and equipment created an unexpected obstacle and safety concern for children and pedestrians using the sidewalk. As a homeowner, I believe residents deserve advance notification when construction or excavation will impact their property, even if it is within a utility easement. A simple notice would have allowed neighbors to plan accordingly and be aware of any temporary disruptions or safety concerns. I would appreciate an explanation of the notification process, what steps will be taken to restore the area, and whether residents can expect additional disruptions in the future if other homeowners request UTOPIA service. In addition to the pictures from this afternoon... I have posted a picture of what utopia could do in the future to protect homeowners and children and community people from getting hurt Thank you for your attention to this matter.

As an electrician I just can't for the life of me figure out why that would ever be a good idea. There was sewage leaking through every faucet, drain and toilet.. spraying up onto the air!! This wasn't just her sewer main but also their client's! So apparently their practices are most likely shady and against code. (Classic lazy Utahn business tactics.) My mom had to go stay in a hotel which she couldn't work in due to needing her Internet at home to work. She lost days of work, sleep and had the stress of her house being covered in sewage! I'd say literally go with anything else.

I was having trouble with getting my elderly V.A uncle used to where his channels were at (we get so many more than DISH! and channels we actually watch). I lost my paperwork and couldn't find the number for NewStar and just searched for the DirecTv number online. I called into DiredTv wanting some help with figuring out what to do and I could barely understand the agent on the line (language barrier) and they basically said they would have to send a technician out to me and it would cost me $40-$99. I declined, because I just don't have the money for that. Thought I was just stuck and very dissapointed. One week later I got a follow up call from NewStar just to see how I was liking my New DirecTv sytem. Let me say I am pretty embarrassed at how I treated the young lady on the phone. I vented and was very upset and she didn't interrupt me even once! She listen ACTUALLY LISTENED. Then she fixed it all right over the phone, I didn't even need a technician and that saved me time and money right there! She went through step by step with my uncle of making a favorites list and with the protection plan I had got from them they were able to send me out a remote that fit my uncles needs even better, for free ($15 plus shipping if I didn't have that protection plan). Remote got to us in 2 days and they had already setup a favorites list with my uncle and he was happier than he had ever been in his 80 years of different tv services (he is now deceased). I wish I had the name of that young lady and I hope she sees this review. To that agent if you do see this review I want to thank you and apologize again for how poorly I treated you on the phone. The main thing I have learned through this experience is to go through a authorized dealer for anything I can! Even when I didn't know it they had my back, THANK YOU New Star!!!!!

I am VERY happy to say that even after 20+ years, after coming back to get their High Speed Fiber. I had 1GB at first. I upgraded to the 2GB because of the awesome price. Once I decided to take the leap, it was super easy. I contact them, they helped move my connection from my existing cable provider no problem. I also enrolled in their phone service they recommended. Super painless port over process. Call quality has never had an issue. It took a couple weeks to get it installed which is more on the Local Fiber company and their schedule since it is contracted out for that work. So about a 2 week installation time. ( This was when it was barley available in my area ). Their Service: I was surprised to contact their support and recognize the names of the people I was talking to that had been there over 20 years ago. This is why I went back to them. Xmission seems to take great care of it's employees and it is greatly reflected in customer service. All questions I have ever had they are super educated on and can either speak the "Tech Talk" or make it more dumbed down to help less tech savvy people. Speed: At first I got the 1GB Connection - Tested 980/980 on Speedtest, can't say I could ask for more. Then when available I got the 2GB line. Tested PERFECT to spec. Had NO issues. Just make sure you have the hardware to not be limited by their speeds whether that is your Router or or Computer hardware. All over I can give them a very very strong recommendation for people.

They didn't work. We bought higher grade routers as a result. They offered no real improvement over our wireless provider home internet (which is half the price of fiber). The streaming would freeze regularly and speeds seemed no faster than cellular network. Customer service is true to all other reviews. They seemed to care less about our business or helping us, so we canceled within a week. Wish I would've read reviews here before I went with this company.

I called and was told there was an outage somewhere and techs had been dispatched. Called again some hours later and was told the issue was with the signal box outside my house. They would never tell me when to expect repair. I was clear that I work from home and needed service. Multiple calls were not returned. Friday morning I was told my repair had been prioritized but again they could not tell me when I could expect a tech. Said "maybe" that day. I could tell from the lack of customer service and the lack of even an estimate I was likely to be without wifi all weekend long. I went to Verizon and got their service plan to avoid any further loss of productivity. I had wifi again with them by Friday afternoon. I called AllWest Monday morning to cancel my service with them. Unsurprisingly, around 5:00 p.m. on TUESDAY two service trucks appeared outside my house. I had a Zoom appointment so I couldn't talk to them until after my appointment ended. I talked to the techs (Andy and Steven). Both very nice. Andy explained that whoever had installed the ground line in my neighbor's yard had done it incorrectly. I hadn't even been getting close to the speeds I should have and he said they should have caught that when they set up my account. I explained that I had canceled my service and they had no idea. That did not surprise me. Since I never got the speed I was paying for--what did I pay for?? All West should refund every dime I gave them since they never actually provided the service I was paying for. Andy apologized for the delay in getting to me. Said the call before me was a house in town that also had not had service for a week. He explained that there are only 4 techs for all of Utah. FOUR. One each for Ogden, Farmington, Tooele, and Harriman. They have had outages because Connext keeps cutting their lines which takes techs away. He said the company refused to hire more techs. This is clearly not a sustainable business model. They need 4-5 techs per city, not for the entire state. This is not a BBB accredited business. On the BBB page there is nothing but complaints. I can see why. In addition to the service problem, they also clearly don't have enough CSRs either. The phone line kicks you out after 3 minutes and you never get a call or text back. No updates about when to expect service.
