I was referred here by the Bad Apple Store. I brought my laptop in after the screen abruptly went dark. The gentleman who helped me out was great! He was super helpful and friendly. After discussing the possible scenarios of what could have happened and what my options were, he was able use some of the equipment there to get the screen working again at no charge! My laptop with all my information and accounting abruptly shut down. After looking for repair shops and checking reviews I called Computer Hospital in Sandy. From the first call this shop was knowledgeable and professional. Cameron had me bring the computer in for a free diagnosis. A battery problem was immediately apparent, but there were some other issues as well. CH was able to power up the old computer and save all the data and information. I opted to clone over to a new computer from Computer Hospital with better features and a solid state instead of spinning drive. The cloning was successful. Camerson helped resolve some software issues that needed fixing before all the programs worked. He was able to get everything up and running on the new device. Terrible told me that it would be a free evaluation then told me that my cpu was the problem and the would replace it and it was 400+ and I declined cause I had a buddy that had a extra cpu and replaced it and it still had the same problem all and the still charged me 135$ for the evaluation and all they had to do was update the motherboard drivers figured out my self as a person with very little software experience read more

I took my computer in to them for a "free" diagnostic check right before they closed. they checked it the next day in the morning and told me they had reseated the cpu while doing the check and the computer was now working and ready to be picked up. when I came to pick it up they tried to charge me $130 because they had fixed the computer. 5 problems with this: 1) the made it seem like reseating the cpu was just part of their diagnostic check 2) reseating a cpu is just taking it out and putting it back in. it is not hard to do at all and is definitely not worth $130 3) they had initially said it was free, and now tried to charge me 4) on the receipt they gave me when I first asked for the diagnostic check and handed the pc over it specifically states that if they find something wrong they will call you and let you know what it is and how much it would be to fix. they also state that the standard fee for a fix is $65. they didn't call me about it and say anything about a price or a fix. and $130 is double their "standard fee" 5) there were pieces missing from my computer when I got it back I did not pay them because they lied, I then took the computer home and it still was not working. safe to say this place is sleezy at best and I would not recommend anyone to go here with computer issues. I ordered a generic replacement battery for my MacBook online, but didnt have the guts to try the repair myself. The directions had 52 steps, a maximum difficulty, said it would take 2 hours and required removing adhesive. The Apple Store said no, my MacBook was too old. Simply Mac won't use none-Apple parts. A few keys broke on my laptop broke. From the moment I called Latecia on the phone I received fantastic customer service. She was able to give me a price over the phone and order the part for me. She was extremely pleasant to speak to. The part came in quick. The store is well kept, clean and inviting Latecia was excellent about updating is on the time frame. They weren't judgy about the amount of dust in my computer ‍ and cleaned it up for me as well. Excellent business with a adorable power couple running it and running it well. I only wish I would have called them earlier and saved myself all the frustration dealing with a computer that wasn't running like it should. I took my hp Omen to computer hospital on 12/01/2023. One cooling fan had gone out in my laptop, so I decided to have both replaced. Unfortunately, I found Computer Hospital online, although I found it as Web Head, it has Computer Hospital all over the branding. I talked to Steve, and one other person there. They said the fans would be $59 each to replace but, since I was having both replaced, they could do it for $60 to $80. This sounded like a fair price and I told them as long as the repairs did not exceed $125 to just go ahead and do it. I called back on 12/02/2023 for a status update and was told by Steve they had to order the fans, and it would be five days. On 12/07/2023, I called back and Steve said he was just completing the repair and I could come pick my laptop up. I grabbed my bank card, jumped inside my ride and rolled over to 8721 South State. I walked in and was met by a not Steve employee who told me I owed $225.13. I was in shock, this is not what was agreed upon. I needed my computer, so I gave the guy my bank card and while he ran the card, I asked why so high and why not the agreed upon price. He said Steve was busy with an applicant, but he did recall the conversation and would ask Steve about it. Steve did cut me kind of a break and reduced it to $192.15. The employee I was working with then tried to cancel the first transaction and hit my card for the new balance. My card was declined because they were still holding my initial $225.13 and my card only had $307 on it. Then he tells me I have to use another card to pay him until he batched the receipts that night and I got refunded the first debit. I hadn't brought another card, I had to go home grab another card go back pay him again to get my computer. After paying him then going home and waiting two days, the pending debit to Computer Hospital went through to him, not back to me. I had to contact my bank and report it as fraud to recoup my losses. I have to say, it appears my computer was repaired correctly, this transaction made me feel slimy and violated. Steve was totally rude and couldn't care less that he totally jacked up one of my accounts. He gave me a thirty-day parts and labor warranty, but, if I have any problems with his repair, I would rather take my computer elsewhere and pay again, rather than have to interact with this bunch of rip-offs. read more

I was having issues with my laptop. I was referred to this establishment by two friends. They took care of me quickly. Kevin, the owner, tested my computer and diagnosed a dead motherboard. He spent time explaining what specs I should look for in a new computer. I asked about some of the refurbed computers that he had. I purchased one and went home. Soon after getting home I realized there was a problem. A few days later I returned to the shop and showed Kevin the screen shots of the crash messages I received. Luckily my computer crashed while I was there so he could see what was happening. He updated several drives, but still we had a crash. He removed the faulty drive and replaced it with a new one. Three other companies didn't call back and two weren't in their shops when I stopped by them. But Computer Hospital let me come in right away. They diagnosed the bad mother board within a couple hours. They had me fixed and up an running within three hours! I was shocked! Not too happy with my experiences here. I mainly had problems with communication. Things like: them not being clear about when I could pick up my laptop; or them refusing to discuss issues over the phone, but the person I need to speak with not being there when I show up in person. I'm especially frustrated with their complete refusal to even look into manufacturer warranties for my new laptop screen when it developed a stuck pixel less than a month after installation (and refusal to even tell me what brand it is, or where they got it from). Oh, and did I mention they seem to be gun nuts, too? (Really, what is up with the bizarre connection between guns and PCs in Utah? At first I thought it was just Dale Schanze...) In any case, I didn't find all the gun magazines everywhere, and the NRA propaganda on the wall to be the most enjoyable environment. But, I guess if that's your cup of tea... read more

This is the most dishonest place I have ever been too. First, they claim they have a $59 flat labor fee and then you just have to pay for parts but then they charged us the $59 for just reloading windows and then another $25 for installing a hard drive. Then they were going to charge us $500 for a new hard drive that we got for $325 retail and ours was a Samsung and they were going to give us Western Digital brand, which is a lot worse brand. So unless you want to be completely screwed over by these guys I would never go here. read more

The jerk who worked on my computer charged me $150.00 to do nothing but use some kind of cheap glue (seems like Elmer's glue by the way it flakes off) to fix my DC jack, and it broke not two weeks later. I found upon taking it to my brother that he hadn't fixed the problem at all, had not in fact ordered a replacement part, and had just cheaply glued the existing piece back to the frame. I was charged outrageously for a fix that took maybe 5 minutes and didn't work at all. DON'T COME HERE. I had called around and was unhappy with the answers I was getting from the other computer repair places around who refused to give me any idea as to what they would charge. Many would charge just to diagnose the problem. The thing that made me choose this place is that they charge the same amount for any repair plus the cost of parts. My repair was very time consuming for them as it required my entire computer to be taken apart due to a broken piece of plastic. If they can't fix it, they don't charge you. I rely on my laptop for work so when it wouldn't boot up, I panicked. I wanted my computer fixed quick and with a reasonable price. Computer Hospital was located on my way home for work and I liked how they checked the computer for free and charged a reasonable base price for the work. AWESOME! Several months ago, another PC store that is widely known along the Wasatch Front did a rather extensive service/tuneup to our home computer. What a mess! Since we got it back, nothing ever seemed to worked right. Very frustrated and disappointed, we have resolved to never go back to that PC store again. Having said that, we now had a computer that we were unable to get any programs downloaded on and that didn't seem to work as it once had. So we looked around for a place to get our computer fixed. We found Computer Hospital and what a wonderful find it was. There was an understanding of our issues from the start, we left our computer with them for a day, their communication was timely and consistent, we authorized every change to our computer before they made it, and when we got our computer back it worked great. Took my lap top in for what I though was a AC jack repair. I've had this problem with lap tops before. They say on their add 49.95$ flat fee computer repair, NOT TRUE! It was 149.99 to replace the jack. I gave them then computer and they said 3 days. After 4 days I called and they said it would be ready the next day(5 days). I show up to get the computer and they inform me that after they replaced the jack on the motherboard, that they discovered the AC adapter was also broken. How ironic! So you're telling me that both of these pieces broke at the same time? No. The AC adapter was broken but they went ahead and fixed the jack first and charged me the 150$. I will mail my computers out of state before i go back to these crooks! Find someone else. read more

I am giving this three stars since I had to go back two times after my initial visit. Brought my laptop in that was having some slow down issues, etc. They told me that they would reinstall Windows to Windows 7. Total cost $90. I went to this place because it was close to my work and saw the add for $59 for reinstall. They charged me the $59 plus $25 for Windows 7 then tax. Picked it up was told needed to run it to do a few updates. Went out of town for a few weeks took my computer for work and it was horrible. It was very slow it would freeze, etc. When I came back into town took it in and was told same thing, run it over night/leave it on to get all the updates. Did that still nothing. Took it to another person/place and they told me that the updates should have been done with the Windows install, not something that I had to worry about they should have done it all. Spent more money on this laptop. Overall I was not happy with my experience at this location. Went back in talked to the main person, owner I think, explained to him I was not happy. They did give me back half of my money so that was the best part of the story. The tech guy in the back came out noise about my store and I had to tell him that I was talking to the other gentleman. He needs to stay in the back and mind his business. He was VERY rude on how he approached me. Not sure if I would recommend this to anyone or if I would go back. Be Careful.. thanks read more
