I would absolutely love to give these guys 5-stars, and honestly their quality of work I think deserves it! We brought in a laptop computer that was pronounced dead by Apple and brought it back to life (there was some corrosion on the board that meant it wouldn't start, take a charge, etc) but these guys were able to get it up and running in about 30-45 minutes - amazing. My wife also had to replace her laptop screen which would've costed around $500 with Apple, but these guys were able to do it for about $350. Really appreciated the hard work here! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of my latest experience. We currently have my laptop in the shop being repaired (replacing the exterior shell) and it's been about 2.5 months and it isn't done yet. I understand that it's likely a part that's a little less common to get (who buys a laptop exterior by itself?!) but it's been a long wait and I'd like to pick it up sometime... sooner than later hopefully. I was going to do it myself, but after watching a Lenovo factory video for technicians, decided against it. I think the job was challenging, but he got it handled in short order. My son spilled Dr. Pepper on the keyboard of my Mac Book. I made the terrible mistake of going to Apple to see what they could do. They told me it was completely fried and my only option was to send it to a place in California that could "possibly" recover my data. It would cost me anywhere between $1,000-$2,000 just to get the data.... not the computer back and running because again it was "completely fried" On my drive home I found this place on Yelp. Just like others have said these guys are awesome! They took a few days to clean it up/ dry it out. That was about 4 months ago and you would never know this computer has had any issues. My old MacBook Pro sat in my office for a year. The battery had swelled and the trackpad was not working correctly. Apple would not give me the time of day on this older machine. So it sat. My niece was given an older MacBook by my daughter, but it needed a new battery. She found and used Affordable Laptops and told us how amazing they are. So, I took in my computer. They had the battery I needed in stock. While fixing my machine, Brian educated me on Apple laptop models made since mine was built, which of them are good, which are not as good. Apple has the best engineering, but they need to hire these guys to teach them what real customer service is. Anyone would be NUTS to go anywhere else if they need help with a laptop, Mac or PC, or if they need an inexpensive laptop for backup or whatever. I went through so many hoops trying to get my MacBook Pro fixed after spill damage. These guys took care of it in a day. After water was spilled on my laptop, I called Apple. I was advised to go to a Simply Mac where I later got a call saying "I have your computer opened up and it looks so bad you will need to send it to Apple to have it fully fixed for $1,375.00" and a $50.00 diagnostics fee. I picked it up, and luckily they waived the $50.00 fee. I then went to the Apple Store that was packed with people and couldn't get an apt. Everyone was very nice and helpful and I scheduled an apt for next week. I headed home and looked on Yelp. I found Affordable Laptops and gave them a call. They where very straight up, honest and nice. They offer free diagnostic. So I took it in. As soon as I got there one of the guys sat down and opened up the back of my computer. Dust was all over the inside and it was obviously the first time anyone had EVER opened the back of it. He showed me where the spill was, didn't make any promises of repair, but offered to clean it the best he could and see what they could find. The next evening I was called back with the news that they had cleaned everything, replaced the keyboard and it still wasn't working. They found the problem was a connector to the keyboard was damaged, so they put my keyboard back in. Brian told me if I wanted to use an external keyboard, that everything else worked perfectly. I have no problem using a separate keyboard to save the money so I chose that option and I was charged $20 for their time to clean it. The time, stress and money they save you is incredible. I will never go anywhere else again other then Affordable Laptop. It is a home business. Which I have absolutely no problems with at all. I also have a small home business and I personally like to support local small businesses. They also had some refurbished computers and laptops that looked practically new for great prices. If you are looking to avoid the big box stores, work directly with the person doing the actual work, and save both time and money, then give Brian a call. He is very helpful over the phone. His quoted price to replace the lid on my MacBook Pro was half that of the normal "fix Mac" places. In addition, he went out of his way to find the part quickly and called me back to let me know he not only found the part and could get it quick, it was also cheaper than he originally quoted. I had the part ordered on Monday, dropped off the laptop on Thursday evening, picked up the laptop Friday AM. It looks and runs great. I've only had the one experience but it was very positive. Note: the office is a house. I was a bit nervous leaving my device at first when I walked in. Looking back, I made the right choice, but be prepared. Text book small business. I was going to attempt the repair myself but figured I would see what their diagnosis was before plopping down some hard earned cash for parts. Affordable laptops quoted me a price and I went ahead and had them repair it. A few days later I got a call that it was done and surprise, cheaper than they had originally quoted. This place is the bomb! The Apple Store quoted me $500, and I got my screen fixed for half the price here! They had my part that I needed in stock, and it took him 15 minutes to fix. Note that this place is inside the owners physical house, which can be eery at first. Took my MacBook to Fashion Place apple store. They took it in the back room took the back off then informed me I needed a new display, in house cost $650.00 3 days. Sent out $575.00 one week. Called a place downtown $560.00 plus labor. Affordable laptops quote $330.00. I took it in and they removed the back, there was a loose screw wedged between two circuits. They put it where it belongs, worked great wanted zero money. I gave the $20.00 out of guilt and gidiness. Obviously honest and I will look no further. read more

They had my Mac for over 7 weeks and didn't fix it. I first took it to the apple store, they opened it, said there was no water damage, but (not surprisingly) wanted a lot of money just to see what was wrong. Affordable Laptops opened it up and said there was no water damage but that I need a new logic board. I took it to another place (that didn't charge me) and they said there was water damage.
