The Hidden Gem of NY-Style Pizza If you know, you know... and if you don't know, you're seriously missing out. This place serves the kind of NY-style pizza that ruins all other pizza for you--thin, foldable crust with just the right crunch, perfectly tangy sauce, and cheese that pulls like it's straight out of a food commercial. It's criminally underrated--how this spot isn't packed every night is beyond me. Not to mention that they offer pizza by the slice which is a HUGE plus. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and prices that don't make you cry. Do yourself a favor: skip the chain pizza and come here. One slice and you'll understand why I'm a weekly customer

We ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Wings, One Pepperoni Pizza, One Cheese Pizza, and One Hawaiian Pizza. The Hot Honey Chicken Wings were juicy and had just the right amount of sweet and spicy. The pizza's were delicious. Each of them were very hot and fresh and tasted amazing. There were no complaints from any one of my friends who tried the pizza! The service although we picked up the pizzas was great. The staff were very friendly. The ambiance of All Star gave a cozy feeling when walking through the door. The pizza was so good that the dog needed to try a slice!

Stopped by on a weekday to grab some lunch and found a new favorite. I've never been so much a fan of NY slices, but this place does it best. It's a small local joint, nestled in Kendall, with a few stools to sit while you wait for your order. We ordered a slice of ham and a slice of bacon, and ate from them twice (great portions!!!). We also ordered 3 garlic rolls and that is more than enough if you're just one or two people. Excellent service very kind staff!

This pizza was really tasty. I liked that it was not super greasy. The cheese and sauce were high quality. They also cut it into smaller slices to make it easier when you do not want to eat as much. He ordered the pizza old school, by phone. It took a while for the pizza to be made. When we picked up the pizza, they did not even seem busy. Anyway, I heard they give you a magnet. Bring 10 of those magnets back and you get a free pie. That is pretty cool.

It was a bakery for many, many years, even after I left Miami Beach, when I'd come visit, I made sure to get a pastelito de carne with an orange juice and then one day; the bakery was gone and Pane e Vino was here in its place. As illogical as it may be, I held resentment towards Pane e Vino because of this. I'd grumble and scowl when I'd walk by until one day I saw a man making fresh pasta at the window. Yes, this piqued my interest. I then looked at the menu, and I saw a lot of wonderful variety, but mostly that their pasta is made fresh so it occurred to me that in this instance perhaps one legendary establishment can become another one in this place, and I decided I needed to give this restaurant a chance. I have some friends who join me often when I go to Miami Beach and so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I'm really glad we had our waitress Pilar steer us in the right direction. I love truffle anything and she highly recommended the truffle arancini. I'm soooo glad we got it, and that was probably one of my favorite things to eat ever. I have never had such creamy polenta in my life. the truffle and cheese in this was enough to almost bring me to tears. This is how great food is done. Even the salad and the simple dressing was amazing, really fresh and delicious. We tried three different pasta dishes, but my favorite without a doubt was the lamb ragu. This dish was everything. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. You know that lamb will sometimes have a gamey flavor? Not this dish. My second favorite pasta dish was the truffle ravioli. It's not like a truffle infused oil or salt they used, its actual shaved truffle, so delicious. The bread, the good quality olive oil, everything was fantastic. Even though my beloved bakery belongs to the past; in its place is now another magnificent establishment that I will look forward to visiting whenever I'm in Miami Beach.

Unfortunately, the illusion fades rather quickly. The first sign of trouble arrives with the server sporting a rather impressive lip piercing, followed closely by a colleague whose diamond nose stud could probably be seen from space. Not exactly the ambiance one expects when aiming for "elegant." Despite the abundance of servers floating around the dining room, none seem to notice when your knife dramatically dives off the table and lands on the floor -- where it enjoys a long, lonely stay. Water service is also quite innovative: they simply leave the entire bottle at the table, which seems less about generosity and more about avoiding the inconvenience of returning to refill your glass. The food? Sadly just as uninspired. From the octopus to the $68 Milanese, every dish managed the impressive feat of being completely flavorless. The Milanese arrived with a beautiful crust, which raised hopes... until you realized there was no sauce, no garnish, and nothing to rescue what turned out to be a remarkably bland plate. Meanwhile, the staff appears deeply committed to minimizing effort -- though not shy about judging you directly when the tip doesn't meet their expectations. All in all, this place feels like fine dining in costume. Perhaps a return to the basics of hospitality and service would be a good start... followed by a serious conversation with whoever is currently in the kitchen. Good luck to anyone brave enough to give it a try.

We choose the indoor seating this time around, but I think I prefer the outdoor seating. Indoors was lovely. It was dark, sexy, no bugs, and the perfect temperature. We ordered: Faust wine 5/5 All the usual free apps 5/5 Grilled Octopus 5/5 Spicy Rigatoni 5/5 Veal Parmesan 5/5 The service was great! They had amazing team work to provide the perfect high class dinning for guest. I never had to think about water being refilled, wine glass being refilled, or crumbs on the table. They checked in with us just enough. Price: If you have drinks, apps, entree, and dessert expect to spend around $300 or more. Portions: Not the largest portions for "family size" but if it's just two it may be filling enough because they give you bread, cheese, cured meats, and pickled cauliflower for the appetizers. Overall, this is one of our favorite spots and it's truly worth the hype. For it being F1 weekend it was not as hectic as expected.

I had high expectations for Carbone, especially given its reputation, but unfortunately, my…read moreexperience left me feeling disappointed. THE FOOD The food itself wasn't the problem- the value was. Charging nearly $200 for a 2.5-pound lobster and serving what appeared to be no more than 10 ounces of meat is unacceptable. I've ordered lobster countless times, and this was nowhere close to what should come from a lobster of that size. It honestly felt like a bait-and-switch. At Carbone's prices and reputation, I expected transparency and quality, not to leave wondering if I had just paid hundreds of dollars for an empty shell. It completely overshadowed the rest of the meal and left a terrible impression. THE SERVICE Our wait staff was excellent- friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. When I raised my concern about the lobster, however, there wasn't a meaningful solution offered. The manager did bring out complimentary meatballs and two slices of cake, which was appreciated, but it didn't address the actual issue. I requested the veal entrée (about $125) as a gesture of goodwill, but that request was denied. I left feeling that my concerns were acknowledged but not truly resolved. THE VIBE The ambiance is everything you'd expect from Carbone- stylish, energetic, and full of old-school charm. It's a beautiful restaurant with a lively atmosphere, making it a great place for a special occasion. Ultimately, the atmosphere and attentive wait staff weren't enough to make up for what felt like poor value and an unsatisfactory resolution to a legitimate concern. At this level of dining, guests should leave feeling impressed--not questioning whether they received what they paid for. Our total bill was close to $1000. UNACCEPTABLE.

For the price, the value was simply not there. The tiny table made the experience even worse, leaving almost no room for plates, drinks, or personal items. Instead of enjoying the meal, I felt cramped and uncomfortable the entire time. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely disappointing. Charging premium prices while serving such small portions is embarrassing. I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning. Shame on them!!!! Please don't go.
