After accepting the estimate, there was a delay of over two weeks before I was contacted to schedule the service, and I do think communication during that time could have been improved. This company popped up for me, and even though there was a $100 service fee, with all the positive reviews, I felt confident that this company could help with our issue. Roman came and looked at the vent from the room side, and then climbed a ladder to look into the attic where the AC ducting pipes are. However, he couldn't see the pipe from the ladder/attic opening and never checked where the faulty pipe was actually located, which would require him to climb into the small attic space. Despite not seeing or looking at the affected ducting pipe, he told us it would be $1200 to replace it and fix our issue. I didn't quite understand how he could come to this conclusion without actually seeing the pipe, and he insisted this was what needed to happen. This didn't make sense to me, and before I paid the $100 service fee, I called again, wondering if we could just have someone else come back and actually look at the pipe. He said when they come and do the $1200 job, they would. Disappointed, I reluctantly paid the $100 service fee, but didn't really feel like we got a real assessment. Fast forward to a week later, we had someone from another company come who immediately jumped into the attic to look at the AC ducting pipe without us even saying anything, and lo and behold, the pipe to that AC vent was just squished down, blocking the air flow from going to that room. I ended up with a bill of about $200 and our issue is completely fixed.
