The most flavorful Indian food I ever had. We got a few lunch specials and drinks. Bhel Puri 8/10 This was surprisingly good. With a mix of crunchy rice and some potatoes and some cilantro and onions, this is a light appetizer that is satisfying to taste. It's not too bland nor overpowering. Lamb Biryani 9/10 The lamb is tender and not too gamey and the rice is well spiced. The sauce is not too sour and light. Chicken Tikka Masala 9/10 The chicken masala is well seasoned and richly spiced with every bite. Meanwhile the Aloo Mattar is light and comforting. The Dal is light and filling. You can also choose your preferred naan which I opted for the normal naan, which has a nice charred bottom. Bollywood Lassi 10/10 A mango based drink that is creamy and smooth. Reminds me of a tropical smoothie. Royal Delight 8/10 A refreshing watermelon drink that is not too bitter nor sweet. Staff is nice and friendly and the food came out fairly fast. A comforting and cozy interior decor is used throughout the restaurant which is perfect for a family dinner or a date night.
I have been to branches of this restaurant in Pasadena and Glendale. I was really happy to try the one in Arcadia and also try it during dine LA. Two of my absolutely favorite things on the menu or the iced chai with sweetened milk to add in as as well as as the salad. It is a simple romaine lettuce salad, but the dressing with Indian flavor flavors is just incredible. The aloo tikki appetizer was served with tamarind chutney and diced onions on top. I liked that it wasn't heavily breaded. The garlic naan was hot and fresh with just the right amount of garlic. We chose the. saag paneer and sheesh kabab for entree. That is spinach with cubed, farm cheese and ground lamb kebabs with onions. Both desserts on offer were tasty - rice pudding, and gulab jamun. The dining room is very colorful fully decorated with lots of Indian artifacts and Service is quite attentive. I enjoyed the meal very much.
All India Cafe is a solid spot in Downtown Arcadia with plenty of variety. The vegetable biryani was my favorite, flavorful and satisfying without feeling too heavy. The tandoori shrimp was another highlight and a great lighter option. You also can't go wrong with the classic samosas. I especially loved the green chutney. Bright, tart, and refreshing, it provided a great contrast to the richer dishes. The eggplant was the only miss for me. For the price point, I found it a bit too sweet for my preference. Overall, a good neighborhood option for Indian food with plenty on the menu to explore.
A unique experience for Indian food which feels relatively rare in Arcadia. Parking was a little sketchy if you go to the back, or get street parking in the front. There was plenty of tables on a Tuesday night dinner, and there are some good happy hour deals including half off on drinks. I had the Bollywood lassi, which had a great bold mango taste that was refreshing. The menu was a little confusing to navigate and was not clear which dishes or combos came with what sides or proteins. We also had the vada pav sliders, which was pretty spicy, but very flavorful for an app containing no meat. I loved the concept of this dish as a slider, made it very easy to dip into the sauce, and comes on a cart! Finally I had the traditional chicken curry, which was also pretty good. I think the curry felt a little watered down, and could have done with just a bit more flavor, though to be fair on my part I only ordered mild on the spiciness. Portion size was also on the smaller side. Garlic naan was really good and soft, but had to be ordered separately.
One of my fav spots, but my first time getting the lunch special here which is a great deal! The Tikka Masala Lunch special gets get a while platter of the curry, rice, a side salad and 2 side dishes. Upgrade a couple extra dollars for garlic naan versus regular, and it's generous for under $20. Staff is always friendly, this location is spacious and beautiful decorated with a mural inside. Also I usually get pani puri shots at any Indian restaurant I go to, I will say this ones are one of my favorites! They get the spice blend and soup just right!
Came here with friends on a weekend for lunch. It wasn't packed at all and were greeted and served right away. Lunch menu is served 11:30-3p DAILY, which includes weekends :) Lunch menu prices are great which includes a main dish served with Aloo Mattar, Dal of the Day, basmati rice, naan & salad. If you want garlic naan is $1.00 extra. I had the LAMB MASALA LUNCH for 16.95 - it was a great deal! Definitely enough food for a second meal. Service was good -- server was friendly. The place was well ventilated and spacious and they had TVs along the north and south walls playing the World Cup games :) Restrooms: 2 gender neutral and spacious - clean Parking: the parking lot behind the restaurant is very small and typically packed. Maybe 4 spots at most. I'd recommend just finding parking along the street the restaurant is on. It was 2 hr free on weekends and not hard to find in front of the restaurant. I'd definitely come back to try the rest of the lunch menus! They also have other locations but this one had the least headache for parking on weekends.
I came here with friends and my mom on Sunday and it was a great experience from top to bottom. The place is popular and lively, which is a rare surprise for an Indian restaurant. One group was hosting a baby shower, and the rest of the restaurant was busy. You know the food is good when you have a diverse group of customers! The food was excellent and they had great lunch deals. I am so glad we decided to give this place a try because it's local, delicious, and a fun vibe! We will most definitely be back!
DineLA allows diners to experience cuisines off the beaten path with a slight discount to motivate a person to try something new and different. This was my case, as I deviate from my regular dining habits and trying Indian food. I am glad to try new cuisines and locations, so was game to try this foreign food and appreciate the new spices and heat of this part of the world. I have to admit that I was cautious and reluctant to try this cuisine, but was happy with the outcome of learning how to eat the foods of India, which really use many spices in their cooking. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and will keep trying different delicacies of this country.
My wife and I had not eaten Indian food in awhile so after seeing this appear among the Dine LA restaurants we thought this was a good opportunity. This restaurant is conveniently located on Huntington Drive in Arcadia only about 10 minutes from our home. Street parking can be challenging at times as Huntington Drive has a lot of businesses. The ambiance and decor is open, airy and casual. The menu is excellent with a good variety to choose from. My wife and I were craving the chicken tikka masala entree, which was rich and tasty and good balance of chicken and sauce. We opted to try the Dine LA menu to be able to taste the two starters (Samosa and Aloo Tikki). It also came with naan (garlic) and choice of drink. Everything has a lot of flavor and a pretty health kick for a mild spice level. We also tried their ice cream which is homemade and delicious. We also bought a lunch special to go for my daughter and it was a lot of good and great value. What I came to realize is I have tried their other location in Glendale and coincidentally this establishment is family owned. The dad runs the Pasadena location while the son runs the Arcadia and the sister handles the Glendale one. We met the son, who was very friendly, gracious and hospitable. The service here was very friendly and pleasant. We will come back.

Great neighborhood restaurant -- staff were very helpful with our order. Selected the lunch special of chicken tikku masala that came with jasmine rice, salad and dal of the day (lentil soup). Also ordered the garlic naan, and everything was sooo delicious. Couldn't decide on dessert, so they offered us a taste of their rice pudding, which was also very tasty. Great family owned restaurant, and we will be back again.
I decided to stop by for lunch. The restaurant is bright and nicely decorated with Indian decor. I was immediately greeted by 2 staff members of the restaurant and was seated. They immediately brought me menus. I ordered the Maderas Margarita and Tikka Shrimp Salad with an upgrade for the garlic naan off of their lunch special menu. They had really fun names for their cocktails. The Maderas Margarita was interesting. The taste of the jalapeno was bold, the way it should be for a spicy margarita. There was mashed mint and cilantro in it. The drink tasted more like a mojito than a margarita. Nonetheless, it was well presented with a jalapeno on the rim of the glass for decoration and the drink was very much enjoyable. The Tikka Shrimp Lunch Salad was full of flavor. There was grilled mushrooms, diced cucumbers, diced tomatoes, and mozzarella cubes in it. The grilled shrimp was deliciously grilled. The house dressing seem to be done your of Indian spices vinaigrette which was very interesting. I would say that the spice level on this was mild to medium. I enjoyed this dish. The garlic naan bread was served fresh. It was the perfect thickness where you can experience both the crispiness and the soft bread at the same time. The garlic flavor wasn't overpowering. It was nicely done. I would definitely return to try other items and perhaps their happy hour menu.
Amazing Indian restaurant in the SGV! Very friendly service. Accommodated us for outdoor seating with our pug. Inside ambience is nice. Food is delicious. Brought me back to my fond memories of traveling India. The Vegetable Curry was great. The naan came out warm and tasty. The Pani Puri was so solid, bursting with flavor. Also love the unlimited refills on the chai tea. Will definitely come back

The vibe of the restaurant was cozy and clean! We got seated immediately. Simran does a fantastic job at making sure all guests are happy and content. The Pani puri shots are so awesome. I could drink that juice it comes with. So fresh, cool, and spicy. It's a very unique thing on the menu that typically isn't served at Indian restaurants. Fish tikka was yummy. Sea bass is cooked well and there is so much flavor in the veggies. The green sauce it comes with is phenomenal. Chicken korma was medium spicy and didn't taste THAT spicy. It was creamy and delicious. Chicken saag was a killer for me. My favorite dishes are saags because of the color and flavor. It could have used more chicken however. Tandoori platter was yummy. The lamb kebab and other lamb sample was very strong. The chicken samples were yummy. Garlic naan was awesome Saffron rice was a little perfumey but that's how it should be The ice cream was so yummy. The pistachio tastes like condensed milk, the ginger is icy and mild and the saffron wasn't too flavorful in my opinion. read more

Very nice staffs and owner. Their foods are very tasty. I just have one thing that hope they can improve, the chicken that I had during dineLA was overcooked. Tastes dry even with the sauce. Love the ambiance at All India Cafe -- it feels upscale yet warm and welcoming. It's a new addition to Arcadia and looks like they have a full bar, or at least a good selection of wine and beer. I was happy to see some of my favorite Indian beers like Kingfisher, Haywards 5000, and Old Monk (love that one!). Points for bringing Indian street food to the locals here -- options like pani puri are a nice touch and not something you often see in Arcadia. The menu offers a wide range from veg to non-veg dishes, with an assortment of curries and tandoori favorites. I've tried the chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, lamb curry, chana masala, tandoori chicken wings, tandoori chicken, and garlic naan. The tandoori dishes were flavorful and well-cooked. However, the lamb curry was disappointing -- the lamb pieces were sparse and the texture a bit tough. I wouldn't recommend that dish. Aside from the tandoori items, the curries and chana masala weren't served hot -- just warm when they reached the table. I prefer dishes that come out piping hot, fresh off the stove or tandoor. Maybe they were busy and the food sat in the staging area before being served. The curries leaned heavily on tomato-based flavors, even for dishes like korma, which I usually expect to have a creamier cashew base. The garlic naan was fine, though I couldn't tell if any butter was added despite asking for it. Overall, it's a beautiful space and a promising concept, but the flavors, food temperature, and pricing didn't quite hit the mark for me. I'd return if it's convenient, but I wouldn't go out of my way. read more
The restaurant is located on the busy Huntington but there's plenty of street parking right in front. Its interior is so nicely done and when we walked in there was a hint of incense that calms you down right away. We were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the lunch portion is for the pricing - we got the Lamb curry and chicken tikka masala lunch specials, both were around $15-16, and I upgraded my naan to garlic and made the order more spicy than mild. Everything was soooo yum! I have a pretty high tolerance when it comes to spiciness and could definitely feel the kick in the spices. All the staff was very nice and we learned that it's actually family owned and both the brother and sister were onsite when we visited. Would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. read more

They absolutely deserve rave reviews! Just had dinner there and it was fantastic! Ordered a combo for two which included samosas, two chicken entrees, two veggie entrees, rice, roti, and naan - oh and a dessert! What a deal! We got the tandoori chicken - came out sizzling and delicious! Yummy veggies and green sauce with it. The garlic naan was wondeful with black spots as it should. The other chicken dish I don't know the name of. The veggie dishes were Malai Kofta and, the star of the show, NAVRATAN KORMA!! OMG such a great sauce! Loved it! Also had the iced Indian tea and the chai - very, very good. For dessert we ordered Kheer and Gajar Halwa - by far the Gajar Halwa was the best! The Kheer was okay but the Gajar Halwa was soooooo good!! The service was great. Drinks refilled promptly. Owner and others checked on us. Questions answered too. The cafe is beautifully decorated. The music was nice, not too loud. I definitely recommend this restaurant! read more

Enjoyed the yelp event decided to bring family to try something they've never had to the all India cafe because my yelp experience was so good! They were 50/50 on the shots but I appreciated them trying it! It's just so different have to try it at-least once! The butter chicken was delicious the garlic naan bread and the saffron rice were nice. The tandoori platters were really good a little bit of everything chicken and lamb. My wife didn't enjoy the chai tea, but we had a good experience. The sister and brother were very welcoming and the sister broke down a lot of items for my family who had never really experienced authentic Indian food. Restaurant is decorated really nice with bright and inviting. Parking today wasn't very hard but could be a little difficult on the weekend. Thanks again for a wonderful experience! read more

We have enjoyed several lunches and tonight, our first dinner here at All India. The lunch specials are excellent, you get to try a bit of everything. Upgrade to the garlic naan for $1 is worth it, in my opinion. Mango Lassi is a delicious, dessert-like yogurt drink. The kids loved it. A lot. Tonight we enjoyed the puri puri shots, masala dosa (we liked the filling on the side), tandoori chicken wings (beautifully plated), butter chicken. Simran, the owner, is always present, touching tables, running food, taking orders, chatting and thanking customers. He's a lot of fun to talk to. Service is good, the servers take their time, and always get our order right. The Indian music sets the perfect background mood to go with the food. The pace is leisurely and table settings are elegant and clean. Simran is also the mastermind behind the new pumpkin ice cream- wow! It's delicious. My daughter loved the saffron ice cream the best. They offer cocktails and various wine and beer as well. This would make for a nice date night! So happy to have a new restaurant to add into the mix here in Arcadia, with solid food and nice family owned vibe. Recommend! read more

I'm so happy this restaurant opened up in our area -- we really needed something like this! The food is absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor you can truly taste in every bite. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which makes it even better. The naan bread was perfectly fluffy (not doughy at all!) and the jasmine rice was cooked to absolute perfection -- light, aromatic, and the perfect complement to every dish.. The atmosphere is just as inviting as the food! There's a stunning mural inside featuring beautiful Indian women in traditional clothing -- it's bright, colorful, and adds so much warmth and culture to the space. I regret not taking a picture of it... however I for sure will the next time I go. It's such a relief to finally have a place nearby that delivers genuine Indian cuisine with great service and heart. I'll definitely be coming back -- highly recommend this spot to anyone craving real, flavorful Indian food and a welcoming experience! Thank you Simrin, for the great convo. read more

It was my first time trying Panipuri and I loved it! The service was also truly amazing, couldn't have asked for a better experience at a restaurant. Felt welcomed and valued as a guest. This indian food place is full of decorations and makes a feeling like a market place. The food is okay to me because usually I always order samosa from any Indian restaurant, but the samosa here is so so. Masala Fries is quite tasty and kind of new to me.
