This is our second time here and it won't be our last. The people are very friendly , great food and the service is exceptional.

There are restaurants that exist in the world who's whole purpose is to serve great food, and many do. And then there are restaurants that take you on a journey because you can taste and see the passion behind everything they do. This was unquestionably the latter. Five stars. And only five stars because I am incapable of giving it more. The food was exceptional, but the one thing that elevated the entire experience was the truly memorable hospitality during the evening. Our server, Raj, first took the time to get to know us. He did not simply take our order but he was intentional in learning about each of our very different palettes. He asked the right questions and guided us toward flavors and dishes that we probably would not have discovered or even ventured to on our own. Every recommendation was another success. He was knowledgeable, personable, incredibly attentive, and somehow managed to be present whenever he was needed without ever feeling intrusive. Beyond our table, the hospitality continued. The owner, Harsimran, made a point of coming over, visiting us, and making us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. Even the young woman who had been working the front, who held no responsibility or obligation to our table, was so charming and warm that she added something wonderful to the experience simply through the way she interacted with us. A cheery "welcome," a slight nod, a warm smile. It made all the difference. And then there was the food. Their spices are procured locally and ground in-house. The commitment to this kind of quality certainly shows in the final product. The attention to detail in this establishment is as impressive as I have encountered in any restaurant, and I have dined, and worked in many. Nothing felt out of place or arbitrary. Nothing felt auxiliary. There was absolute intention behind the ingredients, the preparation, the presentation, and the balance of flavors. You could taste the passion in every dish that reached the table and you could smell that same passion from each dish before you even saw it coming. The intoxicating aromas surrounded us like a gentle wind that we were happy to be stuck in. And I have to specifically mention the gulab jamun. Quite simply put, it was the best I have ever tasted-- and I have tasted many... my figure proves that. I would return to this location for this dish alone. But therein lies the problem with this place: you leave feeling completely satisfied while simultaneously thinking about everything you had not had the opportunity to try. Before you've even walked out the door, or even risen from your table, you're already planning your next visit because you have things that you know you're going to crave and others on the menu that you suddenly can't live without trying. For me, round two is already decided: a deep dive into their specialty halwa with house-made pistachio ice cream, made from locally sourced and hand selected pistachios. Exceptional food. Exceptional hospitality. Exceptional attention to detail. This is what a five-star dining experience should feel like, and I can't wait to return. All India Cafe is a solid spot in Downtown Arcadia with plenty of variety. The vegetable biryani was my favorite, flavorful and satisfying without feeling too heavy. The tandoori shrimp was another highlight and a great lighter option. You also can't go wrong with the classic samosas. I especially loved the green chutney. Bright, tart, and refreshing, it provided a great contrast to the richer dishes. The eggplant was the only miss for me. For the price point, I found it a bit too sweet for my preference. Manohars was my go to, but is too far from my home, I had been looking for a good restaurant in the Arcadia area and this is the best I've had. A unique experience for Indian food which feels relatively rare in Arcadia. Parking was a little sketchy if you go to the back, or get street parking in the front. There was plenty of tables on a Tuesday night dinner, and there are some good happy hour deals including half off on drinks. I had the Bollywood lassi, which had a great bold mango taste that was refreshing. The menu was a little confusing to navigate and was not clear which dishes or combos came with what sides or proteins. We also had the vada pav sliders, which was pretty spicy, but very flavorful for an app containing no meat. I loved the concept of this dish as a slider, made it very easy to dip into the sauce, and comes on a cart! Finally I had the traditional chicken curry, which was also pretty good. I think the curry felt a little watered down, and could have done with just a bit more flavor, though to be fair on my part I only ordered mild on the spiciness. One of my fav spots, but my first time getting the lunch special here which is a great deal! The Tikka Masala Lunch special gets get a while platter of the curry, rice, a side salad and 2 side dishes. Upgrade a couple extra dollars for garlic naan versus regular, and it's generous for under $20. Staff is always friendly, this location is spacious and beautiful decorated with a mural inside. Came here with friends on a weekend for lunch. It wasn't packed at all and were greeted and served right away. Lunch menu is served 11:30-3p DAILY, which includes weekends :) Lunch menu prices are great which includes a main dish served with Aloo Mattar, Dal of the Day, basmati rice, naan & salad. If you want garlic naan is $1.00 extra. I had the LAMB MASALA LUNCH for 16.95 - it was a great deal! Definitely enough food for a second meal. Service was good -- server was friendly. The place was well ventilated and spacious and they had TVs along the north and south walls playing the World Cup games :) Restrooms: 2 gender neutral and spacious - clean Parking: the parking lot behind the restaurant is very small and typically packed. Maybe 4 spots at most. I'd recommend just finding parking along the street the restaurant is on. It was 2 hr free on weekends and not hard to find in front of the restaurant. I came here with friends and my mom on Sunday and it was a great experience from top to bottom. The place is popular and lively, which is a rare surprise for an Indian restaurant. One group was hosting a baby shower, and the rest of the restaurant was busy. You know the food is good when you have a diverse group of customers! I decided to stop by for lunch. The restaurant is bright and nicely decorated with Indian decor. I was immediately greeted by 2 staff members of the restaurant and was seated. They immediately brought me menus. I ordered the Maderas Margarita and Tikka Shrimp Salad with an upgrade for the garlic naan off of their lunch special menu. They had really fun names for their cocktails. The Maderas Margarita was interesting. The taste of the jalapeno was bold, the way it should be for a spicy margarita. There was mashed mint and cilantro in it. The drink tasted more like a mojito than a margarita. Nonetheless, it was well presented with a jalapeno on the rim of the glass for decoration and the drink was very much enjoyable. The Tikka Shrimp Lunch Salad was full of flavor. There was grilled mushrooms, diced cucumbers, diced tomatoes, and mozzarella cubes in it. The grilled shrimp was deliciously grilled. The house dressing seem to be done your of Indian spices vinaigrette which was very interesting. I would say that the spice level on this was mild to medium. I enjoyed this dish. The garlic naan bread was served fresh. It was the perfect thickness where you can experience both the crispiness and the soft bread at the same time. The garlic flavor wasn't overpowering. I have been craving Indian food so I went onto Yelp to see what were some options around my area. To be honest there wasn't that many but this restaurant came up as one of the highest rated Indian restaurants in the area so I was really excited to give it a try. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and there was no line so we got seated right away. We got served menus and water and was able to place our order relatively quickly. We got their mango lassi pani puri shots garlic naan and their chicken tikka masala to share amongst two people. The pani puri shot was my favorite dish out of everything that we ordered. It was also my very first time trying this dish and it was so good. It was crispy and flavorful and the sauce gave it a burst of flavor all in one bite. I definitely recommend you ordering this dish if you ever visit this restaurant. Everything else was just OK. The mango lassi was thick and not that sweet. It was leaning more on that tangy side, which I personally do not like the garlic naan was not bad. It was fluffy and garlicky but I personally like my naan more on the dinner and crispier side. And then lastly, the chicken tikka masala was also just OK. It was definitely more on the saucy side and less on the chicken side and this dish does not come with the rice so you would have to order that separately. I would come back here to order the puri shots, but that may be about it. The restaurant is quite big and the staff was nice, so there's no knock there. We came here with friends as we're British and have high expectations of Indian food. We've now been here a few times and I must say the quality of food is excellent and the service is a very good standard. The owner walks around and checks in on all the guests. The ambience is very relaxed and the experience is fantastic for a local restaurant. They have a location in Pasadena and another one in Glendale. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you want. Good quality, Indian food. We've tried most of the curries on the menu and biryani's. The tandoori platter is also excellent quality. Came here for dinner and the place is just absolutely beautiful! I love the attention to detail in the decor. Nice to know there is a happy hour of $6 bites which we ordered the pani puri shots and the fish pakora-both delicious. The panipuri came in this super cute wagon that actually moves! We really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered, decided to go family style lunch and ordered a variety of dishes. The chicken curry was the kids' favorite, very mild, we like it over Basmati rice and garlic naan. The chicken tikki masala was also great. We tried the new goat curry dish and were not disappointed. My husband's and my favorite item is the Pani Puri. It's an interactive Indian street food that is served in a hollow, deep-fried wheat shell (puri) filled with mashed potatoes, chickpeas, onions, and chutneys. Then there is the pani, which is the tangy water that you pour into the puri. The water has flavors of mint leaves, cilantro, ginger, green chilies, tamarind, lime juice, black pepper, and cumin. It's a mouthful of spice, fragrance, and texture.. you can't help but say, "YUM!". One order comes with 6. It's a fun option to share with others or by yourself. First time here with my bestie, we were so excited walking in and now we are planning when to come back here!! It's a family owned business and all waitresses are so friendly and welcoming. We feel so welcomed and invited. They have table/chairs and booths, all clean, neat and comfortable. Love their interior design and decorations too. Seems like you actually dine in India. Luckily we came on their first day of promoting Dine LA, so we took the chance to enjoy their dinner set menu, from the appetizer to dessert. Can't express how much we enjoyed our food and drinks, everything is so fresh and authentic. I've been to many other Indian restaurants and this is so far my top favorite. I came here for lunch during Dine LA restaurant week. For $25 you get an appetizer, choice of protein, basmati rice, dal, salad, garlic naan and a drink (hot or iced chai tea). I had the chicken tikka masala and my husband had the lamb sheesh kebab. Everything was delicious. The sauces that come with the appetizer were also delicious. Service staff were friendly and attentive. One thing I didn't care for was the decor of the restaurant. It is very minor; it's simply personal taste. Another thing I didn't like was the parking situation for this place. The parking in back of the restaurant is very small and crowded. It is best not to park there. It's hard to get in and out of that back alley. Try to find parking on the nearby side streets. I can overlook these minor issues since I enjoyed the food and the service. Finally got a chance to try this spot since I saw it on DineLA, and the reviews don't lie, this place is great. We came in through the back entrance since there's a small parking lot in the back. We both got the $35 dinner menu, which came with a ton of items to try. Here's everything it came with: Salad - Surprisingly loved this. Not sure what dressing it was, but it was so good. (5/5) Samosa - A classic. It's a bit different than the huge triangular one I'm used to, but this felt lighter and refreshing. (4.5/5) Aloo Tikki - First time ever trying this, and I would totally get it again. It's somewhat similar to a samosa but still different. Nice flavors. (4.5/5) Lamb Sheesh Kabab - So good. Very well seasoned and super tender. Tasted very fresh. (5/5) Fish Masala - Not normally a fish person, but this one was phenomenal. Nice chunks of fish in a solid curry. (5/5) Palak Paneer - Tasty. Simple, but good. (4/5) Gobi Aloo - Another simple veggie dish, but a nice complement to everything else. Overall tasty. (4/5) Kheer - Nice pudding. Not overly sweet, and I enjoyed this. (4.5/5) Gulab Jamun - I've had this at a lot of places, but I liked that these weren't overly sweet. Still sweet, but just the right amount. (5/5) Overall, I'd definitely come back to try items off the non-DineLA menu because everything was really good. Very nice ambiance, and the service was quick and friendly. the biryani had very balanced flavors. the garlic naan and aloo matar were on a more neutral tone. the samosas however were great! we got the spiciest spice level and it wasn't too spicy although I think it could use more. overall 3/5 since some of the food I feel could have been more robust. the staff are very friendly and seem to love what they do here. the restaurant itself is clean and has a modern style. the restrooms are also clean as well. of note there is mostly only street parking around this restaurant. there is one small lot for the restaurant in the back alley. read more

Another person came, could be the manager to check in with me and shared they have live music Friday night. My lunch finally came and the portion is great. The chicken is flavorful but a little on the dry side. The fried rice is good and the garlic naan has a good aroma. Portion is just right and lunch special pricing is reasonable. Pretty good Indian food overall, I would say don't come in a group bigger than six. It didn't seem to have a lot of space for big parties. We got two orders of the samosas to share. They were pretty good. They came with a tamarin sauce and a green sauce that was a little spicy. They were in a cone shape rather than a normal triangle shape I was used to, but I really enjoyed it. We also got the Pani Puri shots. They were my favorite part of the meal. I really enjoyed pouring the liquid and getting to share that with my family. I ordered the lunch Lamb biryani. The lunch portion was a pretty big size and it came with. It also came with a side of yogurt sauce. it was very well flavored not spicy or too salty. We also got the Tandoori shrimp lunch. It came with so mattar, naan, salad, and dal. This was definitely a full meal and I really enjoyed how the shrimp was seasoned. Lastly, we also got the masala Dosa. It wasn't over stuffed and was a decent size to share I got the mango lassi. It wasn't too thick or too creamy. I enjoyed it. I just wish it was served colder. We also tried the salty lassi.
