Formal Notice of Property Damage and Illegal Activity Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Vehicle Damage and Evidence of Component Theft To future victims, I am writing to formally document severe damage to my vehicle and evidence of criminal activity discovered following a recent tow conducted by your company. Upon reclaiming my vehicle, a mechanical inspection revealed several critical issues that indicate both gross negligence and intentional theft of components. I. Summary of Vehicle Damage The following damage occurred while the vehicle was in your possession: * Mechanical Failure: The transmission and differential have been catastrophically damaged. This appears to be a direct result of the vehicle being towed improperly while the parking brake was engaged. * Theft of Parts: Upon inspection, the original brakes, struts, and shocks have been removed from my vehicle. They have been replaced with severely worn, non-functional, and unsafe components. Also all valuables inside car completely gone. II. Evidence of Illegal "Chop Shop" Operations During the recovery of my vehicle, I observed and documented what appears to be an unauthorized "chop shop" operation on your premises. I have obtained photographic evidence showing: * The active swapping of functional parts from towed vehicles with degraded components. * The storage of dismantled vehicle assemblies not consistent with standard towing and storage procedures. III. Required Action Given the severity of these claims, I am prepared to take the following steps: 1. Police Report: I will be filing a formal report with local law enforcement regarding the theft of auto parts and the illegal modification of my vehicle. 2. Insurance Claim: My insurance provider will be notified of the property damage caused by your towing methods. 3. Legal Consultation: I am seeking legal counsel to pursue full restitution for the cost of repairs and the diminished value of my vehicle. read more

P.O.S. tactics from ownership. No Morals and trash staffing that has to back up ownerships actions. Towing a vehicle permitted to be there. Giving a game number of a person ("owner") who "called it in" (see attached) and basically if you want your vehicle back pay it because they follow legal procedures by just letting PD know they are towing it. OVER PRICED also because their ownership wouldn't survive in a world with work ethic and legitimacy. read more

WARNING!!! This business is where you can find the lowest quality of human beings to roam this earth. Think of street rats that come out at night to find their next meal. No consideration or courtesy for hardworking families. They literally go around in the middle of the night looking for the slightest infractions just to tow your car and give it back at a ridiculous price. The thing is, they know how to play their cards right, where their practices are within legal rights. So if you've had the displeasure of encountering these vultures, it would be worth writing up a bad review on Google as well to save others from being victims. read more

Don't believe the 5 or even 4 star review. Fake ass reviews These people are barely above conmen and thieves. They patrol on their own and take any car without HOA or neighborhood prompt. Then sell your car back to you at inflated prices. They love taking early at night so they can charge you another 2 days when you're forced to come next day. Pretty sure they use a regular car as a spotter call to alert tow truck drivers cuz I've never seen a tow truck cruise up and down my complex. Parasites. read more

What I just saw this tow truck driver do was deplorable. First, while the driver was driving through the complex slowly, another young man was checking for tags in windows of the cars. So, my fiancé and i were leaving. we saw the tow truck driver get the Mercedes and try to leave the gate when we started honking and screaming to the neighbor their car was being towed. They didn't properly hook the car up as it was twisted up, and I screamed that they were wrong to treat that car the way they did. So once they got out the gate, they pulled over to properly hook up the car. Realizing they were damaging the vehicle. I said I'm going to let the complex know what they did he said, "Get out of here and flip me off. I'm not sure why Sycamore uses them, but I think they should rethink that partnership. read more

Scammer. My sister parked in the shopping mall for more than 2 hours . She got her car towed by this company. When we went to pick up her car, they charged her over $600. My friend car got towed and they her charged about $400 just about 2 weeks ago (same location). When we asked the guy about the fee differences, he said it just went up about couple days ago. How convenient. I will definitely report them to BBB. $611 for 4 hours is a ripe off. read more

The most disgusting customer service I have ever experienced in my life! My car got wrongfully towed when I parked my car on the side of the street for less than 3 minutes with my emergency lights on. I quickly got towed and called in, and the man on the phone yelled at me saying "that's not my problem, I will call you back." I waiting with my 1 year old baby on the side of the street at 10pm for 20 mins for a response. When I finally called back and asked for an update, he denied he ever said that with an attitude and then yelled "Wah wah wah go cry about it! Hahaha your car got towed and you have to pay!" and yelled more over me disgusting words! I was left SPEECHLESS! This was the most unacceptable, unprofessional behavior I have ever seen! I tried to explain calmly that I'm left on the street alone in the middle of the night with my infant and no ride since my car seat was in that car, and even asked if they can bring the car back so I can pay since I have no way of getting there. They said no with attitude and told me to "figure it out, wah wah wah not my fault" this is unacceptable!!!!!! It's one thing to tow a car and handle it professionally, but this is disgusting unprofessional, rude employees who don't have any customer service! Thankfully I recorded the entire conversation and will be escalating this legally! read more

This is the most unscrupulous towing company ever! Just like every towing company, they exist to strapped you out of your hard earned money. They prey on people, looking around for easy money, they come to your residence to take away your vehicle! We were moving 10 cases of water, we parked our truck behind our very own garage to easily move the cases of water to our home. We closed our garage doors because we're inside eating and talking, next thing we knew, our truck is gone! No compassion at all! Anyway, stay away from San Pedro, Fremont condos, the HOA is ridiculously high fee and useless, and they have this towing company in contract. They're are monsters that bleed people dry. Seriously, this place is not even worth it! read more

these dirty, looking scammer guys towed my truck that was in front of my in-laws carport saying that we were blocking someone's carport and they called to have it towed I was like no that's my in-laws carport and then the other guy said the cops called then I called the tow yard, and they said no we do not go out for cops. We only go out for people. It was all a lie. They are just scammers not only did they take my truck they were in a residential neighborhood going about 65 and cutting through parking lots passing red lights Showed up to the tow yard for them to tell me pay for 495 and yes, I paid to get my truck back but I will be going further with this! if you're in Hayward around B St.-C st up Vermont they go in apartments looking for cars read more

I got towed from a parking lot at my cousins apartment. The sign stated that the parking spots were for future residents during 9-6 and unauthorized vehicles will be towed. I was under the impression that it didn't apply after 6. The sign did not say I needed a permit which the tow company is saying I needed. My cousin who lives in there told me I can park there as they have guests multiple times a week who always park there. I spoke to them twice before picking up the car to ask questions. The first man I spoke to said it'll cost me $550 dollars for a same night tow and when I started asking questions he said the man at the desk at their location will be able to answer my calls. The second time I called back because I wanted answers since it's really hard For me to afford $550 and I spoke to a very rude associate named Mikey or Michael who was just arguing about the signs verbiage with me when it can easily be interpreted differently as if I don't have a degree in Communications. In addition when I asked how come no one's ever gotten towed there he chuckled and said they got lucky. In situations that cost a lot of money there's no need to be that horrible towards customers who are paying to get THEIR OWN property back. In addition when I got to the location the man at the front desk gave me no answers and tried to make me seems incompetent by arguing the verbiage on the sign once again. There's no reason to insult someone's way of thinking, that's why people with autism have rights against discrimination. Additionally he said he had no answers to questions cause he just gets the costs and releases cars. Another lie told to me by a rep on the phone. They seem to really be abusing their power by charging unreasonably, making people who are in stressful situations already feel incompetent and most importantly not having integrity with what they say on the phone when customers are just asking questions. Who wouldn't ask questions when charged $550 for being towed for a few hours? I know they themselves would be livid. read more

They are greedy scammers. They towed my car which is my personal property and parked in front of my garage, but they won't disclose who authorized them to tow and claim it's confidential. WTF! BTW, the storage fee is now $110! They will be punished by God being greedy and taking away money from my friend, a hard working person earning minimum wage. I wish Yelp has a rating for bad guys. They don't deserve one star rating. read more

A predatory towing company, overall. They charged $550 to release, with a receipt littered with questionable line-items and dollar-cost added into it. 1. Tow fee Hourly x 1.0 hour - $255.0 (questionable, because the car was picked up within 15 min of drive. No way the towing truck could take 1 hour! to reach their Newark impounding facility at 8150 Enterprise Dr, Newark, CA 94560) 2. Storage fee: $100 x 1 day(s) (questionable, because I collected the car same day, within 1 hour to 1.15 hour from their logged removal time.) Since when 1 hour started to become equal to 1 day for us human beings? Does not one (1) day have 24 hours? 3. Gate fee: $125 (questionable. Does it take to open and close the gate $125 for the company, once for entering and next time opening it to release? It was literally an automated sliding gate) 4. Special Equipment Service Fee: $60 (questionable, because the reported towing method was 'towed rear, dollies front'. Does it cost $60 to hook up towing jack to rear, and insert a dollies at the front...) Good luck, if these folks had gotten (or waited for an opportunity to pounce on it and stole) your car right under your nose. They took my car from condo visitor parking area, where I am a resident of. As soon as I noticed (within 40 - 45min) that my car is missing, I tried to track down and discovered that this company had towed my car in between. I arrived to pick up the car within 15min from (i.e. within 1hr of towing time) from my calling them up . No staff to be seen on the spot, when I arrived on the spot to get my car released and office-gate locked. Trying to know over phone whom should I contact, the (rude) person on the phone started sounding as if it was my fault that no person / no staff was to be seen on the spot, was repeating the same (wrong) instruction repeatedly. -- Edit: I discovered new scratches on the front-passenger side area, with front bumper loose now... whatever the their towing driver did trying to tow my car. More headache now! read more

I understand this is a difficult line of work but it wouldn't hurt to show a bit of empathy for your customers. This place is anything but that. I will be suing this company for absolutely scamming me for $490. I believe I am a victim of predatory towing. I parked in an apartment complex ON A SUNDAY EVENING AT 9:45 PM in a spot with a sign that said "No Parking M-F | 7am-7pm" About an hour later when I was looking to go home, I discovered my car missing. When my husband called the number listed , they said that a resident snitched on us, saying that "all residents know that after 7pm, the spots belong to the apartment complex and require a visitor's pass". NOWHERE does it say "no public parking" OR "visitor's pass required". My friend called the leasing office the next morning and they said that we were told incorrect info as they do not issue visitor's passes for parking!! What in the actual *expletive*?! I am absolutely fighting this. I saw this website: https://suetowtrucks.com/ca/ that explains California towing laws. Did you know that "if you vehicle is wrongfully towed the tow company may be liable for 4x the towing and storage fees, plus damages for conversion, plus punitive damages, plus attorney fees if a potential lien sale situation arises"? YASSSS. MAKING IT HAPPEN. A copy and paste from that website: Signs Prohibiting Public Parking What notice has to be posted before you can tow a car from private property? If the private property has signs prohibiting public parking then an unauthorized vehicle can be towed. Here are the requirements for the signage: - Signs must be at all entrances to the property. (NOPE - NOT THERE) - Signs must be in plain view. (I POSTED THE PICTURE. NOT THERE) - Signs must be at least 17 inches by 22 inches in size. (I DIDNT HAVE A RULER BUT IM GUESSING THIS IS FINE) - The lettering on the signs must be at least one inch high and state the following: * Public parking is prohibited (NOPE! DOESNT SAY!) * Vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense * Telephone number of local law enforcement * Name and telephone number of the towing company OHHHH and not only that - they freaking forgot to take off the light thing they attached to the hood of my car when I exited the lot. I didn't know it was there until the next morning. I am pissed but I will look to get my money back. This isn't right at all! read more

This included an incident where the company towed the car of an Amazon delivery worker while she was actively making a delivery. The worker came out to find her car being towed away and chased after the tow truck, yelling and trying to get others nearby to stop the driver. However, the tow truck driver simply accelerated and drove off, despite the worker's pleas. The review further states that the towing company would park on the public road adjacent to the private property and wait, ready to pounce on any vehicles that were even a minute late according to the posted signs. They would then tow the cars, charging exorbitant fees to retrieve them, demonstrating a complete disregard for the impact on vulnerable individuals. Importantly, the search results indicate that the signs allowing towing were installed for the BART riders to prevent from parking on the private property. However, the property owners had not previously enforced the towing policy until recently, when they seemingly gave Auto Towing the "green light" to engage in predatory towing practices, targeting both non-resident and resident vehicles in an unlawful manner. This case underscores the egregious nature of this Towing's predatory towing practices and the need for stronger oversight to prevent such exploitation of car owners, especially those in vulnerable situations. Also one of the neighbors had told me that they said if they see you going in and out the complex, they will not be towing you I had told him do not fall for that do not fall victim read more

By far the worst, most unprofessional towing company I've ever had the displeasure of coming into contact with. They're hired by my apartment complex, Artist Walk, to tow cars that have been in the free parking out front over 3 hours during 8 am to 8 pm hours. I left the complex for 2 hours to pick up my boyfriend, get dinner, and head back. Parked my car at 7 pm and went upstairs to eat. At 8 pm, my boyfriend went downstairs to take the car to pick up my medication and find our car missing, with skid marks out of the spot, over the curb, and a chunk of the curb missing. I immediately called the police to report my car stolen only to find out that it was towed by this company. I called them and they told me they'll let me have my car back "this time" but that they clocked my car there at 2:30 pm. There is literally a camera outside where my car parked. So not only did I have to catch an Uber all the way to the tow lot at 9:30 pm when I have to be at work at 3 am tomorrow, the guy is trying to tell me it was my own fault?? I'm reporting this company not only to the police and to my apartment complex, and will be pressing charges for emotional damages, cost of Uber, illegal towing, and damaging my car dragging it out. I have proof not only in my app showing the exact times I was gone and how long I was park, and will request footage as well from the camera out front. These scummy crooks shouldn't be allowed to continue business. read more

Overpriced fees and charges for their towing services. The City of Hayward should be ashamed to be having such services requested and really shows the lack of care for the quality of life that their civilians are put under. Their actions are PREDATORY and HARMFUL, especially in a community where many people are barely making ends meet.
