My car died on the highway ahead of a curve right before an exit which put me in a very precarious situation. I called Bay Area Express Towing and they rescued me in under 30 minutes. It was amazing . I was so scared to get out of my car, I had to climb through the window of the passenger seat to exit the vehicle. I also had to climb on to a concrete wall that dropped about 20 feet on the other side of it while speeding cars were within arms distance. I'm grateful beyond words for the kindness of the towing agent who talked me through the whole experience. In fact, he had a pick-up scheduled elsewhere are re-routed to me because I he recognized that I was in a dangerous location. Even more impressive was how he took my car home and delivered it to my boyfriend without my help because that day I was on my way to hosting a high profile event for a construction project nearby. It was easy to schedule a tow, they called before arrival, showed up on time, and the price for a local tow was reasonable. The driver was friendly and efficient, and wore a mask at all times (much appreciated!). I'm deducting a star for the oil that their flat bed tow truck dripped on my pavers. Sunday late afternoon my daughter's car died on an intersection in Fremont. Thankfully a family helped push her car safely in a parking lot. Geico gave me a list of towing companies to call since at the time her car wasn't covered for road assistance. Most if not all were not available until the next morning. I took a chance and searched on Yelp. No one answered but I left a message praying that someone would call back. 20 min later someone called. He said he would come help me in a few hours and he did! Sam came to my rescue yesterday when I discovered a flat tire, upon walking out of a friend's house. I called and he was there very quickly, put on my spare tire, and had me on my way promptly. Polite, friendly, cheerful, helpful -- everything I needed at that stressful moment! When I called, the person I spoke with was very accommodating, had me text the address, and was patient when explaining the pros/cons of my options (install the spare vs. tow my car to the tire store). Very prompt response and Sean was very helpful and ensured that my vehicle was placed on the flatbed as safely as possible (it was a bit low, so he was keeping a keen eye out on clearance) and made sure that the wheel restraints weren't damaging to the wheels themselves. Shawn was great! I've never spoke to a tow man who's been so polite, seriously! I thought I called the wrong company but he was so helpful, kind and helped me as soon as he could! When he got delayed, he would text me updates (who does that?!). It was awesome! Had a car picked up today to go to Pick n Pull. Sean, (not sure how he spells it), came by and picked up the car. Was a car i had parted out. Sean came during the designated time window and picked up the car. Car had no wheel/tires, which was not a problem for him. He had all the right tools to load it without wheels/tires. Looks like he has all the right tools that can be used for towing lowered vehicles as well. Will definitely be using him for future tows. Legit business. My car's clutch went out and needed to be towed home. Called my insurance company and they were getting arrival times of 2 and a half hours! Some companies didn't want to help me because my car was lowered. They finally got ahold of this company and they were great. Arrived to where I was in less than 30 minutes. Was able to get my car on the back of the truck no problem. Drove carefully to make sure my car wouldn't fall off and got home in decent time. Awesome service. We initially called a different towing company that was affiliated with our ins. company. This was at 1pm. They kept delaying their ETA. 20 minutes turned into 90 minutes. Then another 2 hrs. We felt we were getting the runaround. After the 3rd time, now at 5pm, we canceled with the tow company & contacted Bay Express & just as promised, Sean (I think that was his name) met us in 15 minutes. Now I can't say these people unlocked my car far better than the next guy, because the entire ordeal usually takes 5 minutes or less no matter who does it. BUT, they agreed to a flat rate before they came, charged 1/2 what some others quoted, showed up in minutes, and were very courteous. They have found a place in my cell phone contacts, and I am sure if I need tow service, a flat fixed, or my keys rescued from a locked car, they will be who I call. read more
