I had my car towed by CHP late Saturday evening and was told by two officers I'd be able to get my car out the following day no problem. I call island Auto Towing and was told by dispatch that's impossible were closed. I asked was there anything Incan do to get it out I was told no. Come the following day it's Monday and I had a family emergency so I am not able to call or get car out. Come Tuesday I make arrangements to come get car on the way I call to let them know hey on my way. They say oh do you have a release from CHP I told them no because i was told i didn't need that. Call CHP they tell me it was towed due to registration and it needing to be paid. After this whole ordeal it took me over a week to get car and the only person that was helpful was Jennifer. I was told invalid information every single day. After $2,000 I was able to get car out. It was one of the worst experiences I ever had to go thru honestly. read more

Had to have vehicle towed from house to my auto shop about 10 miles away. Called my T-Mobile SynchUP Drive app rep as being a T-Mo customer you get 3 free tows in a 12 month period. Once call was complete, it took about 50 minutes or so for the AAA tow truck driver to show up. Tyree (I believe the app tracker sent me) was courtesy and professional when arrived. Took car loading my vehicle onto the back of his truck. Within 10 minutes or we were off to my auto shop. Value was perfect for the SyncUP Drive app for this tow service. Everything from pickup to drop off was top notch. No issues with this transaction. read more

I am a rental property owner who contracted this company to remove illegal parked in my premise. The receptionist kept hanging up on us on our first call. And she could not find our contract. The night receptionist is so incompetent and kept asking for the vin number. How would I know when I am not on site and I told her I saw this car from a security cam. Not sure if she can understand what am telling her. She lacked the ability to process what I was telling her. . If I can give them -3 stars I would. I do not recommend. read more

I was assisted by Tyree (according to the AAA app), and he demonstrated a level of service and compassion that went above and beyond my expectations. It took less than 20 minutes for Tyree to arrive. I was stuck in a difficult situation -- my Tesla had both run out of battery and had a flat tire, leaving me stranded in my driveway about 10-15 feet away from my home charging port. Tyree not only showed his expertise in safely loading, towing, turning, and unloading my car back into the driveway after rotating it 180 degrees (so the charge port was closer to the outlet), but he did all of this effortlessly on a narrow suburban street -- and without causing any damage. Most people would have been satisfied at this point, but Tyree went even further. When he learned that I couldn't access my trunk or charging port due to the dead battery, he made multiple attempts to jump-start the vehicle. Just when I had lost hope, the car finally powered on! He then offered to inflate my flat tire so I could make it to my tire replacement appointment the following day. His help saved me from an expensive tow and tire replacement delivery, and he even correctly diagnosed that my low-voltage battery might be failing -- something I later received a warning about in my Tesla app. Stellar service, outstanding compassion. I'll be recommending this business to my family and friends -- you're truly lucky to have such a great technician on your team! read more

They were dispatched to my disabled car on the side of a busy highway by AAA. It was a busy Friday and we had to wait 90 minutes to get towed but the driver was very supportive and efficient. I was not informed that they didn't take my car to the body shop until the next morning when their office called me. This worked out ok since insurance suggested a different auto shop but I had to go in to fill out a release form and present ID, registration which my insurance company had said they wouldn't require that. Overall it took several days between the tow and the arrival of the car to the auto shop to be evaluated. read more

Last Friday, I had an issue with my car--it wouldn't start--so I called AAA for assistance. Gabriel from Island Auto Towing came to help. With great professionalism, he quickly identified that the problem was due to the battery not being properly secured. I had purchased a brand-new battery from AAA just over a month ago, but unfortunately, the person who installed it didn't secure it correctly and even left out some parts. Gabriel not only explained the issue clearly but also made a personal commitment to help me fix it. He told me which part I needed to buy, and true to his word, he came back today to install it himself. His dedication, kindness, and quality of service truly exceeded my expectations. I live in Hayward, California, and I'm deeply grateful for Gabriel's support and consideration. He is an outstanding professional and a valuable asset to Island Auto Towing. People like him make a real difference during stressful situations. Thank you for having someone like him on your team! read more

I cannot recommend this business enough. I needed to get my car towed more often than car washes this last year, and Island Towing has made my day time and time again. Specifically, Roy and Rick, they were my most recent drivers- they were both extremely courteous, professional, helpful, friendly and all without judgement. As a woman who often gets teased or looked down on for needing any form of auto assistance, I can be very reluctant to make the call for help, but these two gentlemen have made the experience so much better. Completely worth it. You're in good hands! read more

Nasir and other employees have come out on behalf of AAA for me and I've always had a great experience with them! Scam, scam, scam. They arrived with AAA plastered on their vehicle. We had already called the real AAA beforehand, but apparently this company got there first (because it appears they were apparently trolling for breakdowns). We were charged a huge amount for towing. I swear the car was fine when I pulled into the Walgreens parking lot in Hayward but when I came out to start the car and leave, it was a no-go situation. Called AAA and up drove Mow K.! He was kind, efficient, paid attention to the best way to pull the car onto the bed as to not create more disruption than necessary for the other patrons driving into the lot. Once noting where we were having it towed to, he asked if we were happy with them and truth be told, not really. He then suggested a great place just 4 minutes away. Called for us and before we knew it, we were being cared for by an equally kind and efficient mechanic! Hopefully I will be able to give the same 5 start review for them! Thanks Moe! read more

In one word hooligan! Ill behaved notorious owner couple and employees. My car went into a rear end collision, I selected a random towing company and they came over and took it and I sat on the pick up truck. The cops at the crash advised me to go ahead with a random pick up truck instead of waiting for the insurance tow truck on the shoulder of a freeway. The insurance had my name and my spouse's name on it, only the registration had my spouse's name on it. After arriving at the tow yard on their tow truck, after capturing my brand new totaled tesla y, they refused me to take my handbag ,credit cards etc. They were not letting me in their property.I immediately called 911 and the cops helped me in getting my own items. Even then owner opened the driver seat door without the car owner or the cops' presence since the door got locked out after the crash. They were in high hopes of keeping my car and auctioning it but bad luck for them, my Insurance company immediately took the car to their own tow yard. Please be careful, they will steal your belongings and items if anything is left behind in the car.The next day I went to the IAA Fremont where my Tesla 2024 y was towed and stored by my insurance. They informed me why was the front driver door open, why didn't the previous tow company use jumpstart to unlock the car. The owner of this company not only forces opened the driver door in absence of insurance holder, car owner or cops' absence the mechanics are are not knowledged to use jump start as well. Please avoid using this small company for your emergency services, you car will be damaged. There are two mechanics who don't know anything. My biggest mistake is I did-not wait for my Insurance tow truck after the collision on the freeway. I am glad I could some source of income to this small family run tow horrible tow company read more

These five stars are for Tito! Yesterday I had someone come by in the hopes of changing my car's battery, but they quickly claimed that the battery was not the problem. Fast forward to today, I requested a tow and Tito came full of energy and liveliness! He immediately lifted my spirits and while I waited in his truck, he took the time to take an in depth look under the hood and managed to jumpstart my car despite it not working yesterday! He gave me guidance on next steps, and left me with a smile on my face. Thank you, Tito! You deserve the world! read more

I had a flat and called my insurance, they sent me Island towing. I foolishly fell asleep and was awoken by the nicest most energized man, Tito. He was patient while I got ready so I could come outside. Once both inside the truck, he made me laugh and smile - something I desperately needed after such an emotional week already. Thank you for the kindness, laughs and setting my weekend off to a great start!! I hope to never need a tow again but if I do, I'll call your company!! read more

Good service at responsible rate. On time and trustworthy. On my permanent list of towing issues.

After waiting on the side of the freeway for 3 hours in an extreme heat wave, AAA sent island towing out. I understand this isn't a hospitality service, but this guy had no empathy for what I was going through. He hated on me from start to finish. Immediately, he was critical of my bike rack, insisting I was trying to kill some one (literally said that) I apologized that he felt that way and suggested we remove it or did whatever would make him more comfortable. Despite all my apologies and pleases and thank you's, my driver was absolutely rude to me the whole trip. He made me feel like I was a huge burden, apparently forgetting that he was being paid. I sat in full sun, during a heat wave, without ac for our 90 min drive. When we arrived, I offered to help unload my bike (which he allowed without speaking to me), then drive off without so much as a wave. Maybe he hates women? Not sure, but I tried and tried to make peace, but this guy was a nonstop, relentless jerk. read more

I unfortunately ran over something very big, heavy and hard last night on the way home from work. Today I needed a tow. My insurance company arranged the tow.... via Island Auto Repair. I didn't get the gentleman's name, but he was fantastic! On a very busy street, he parked in such a way to keep traffic moving. He quickly got my car secured on the truck. He threw down some absorbent 'stuff' on the oil my car left behind and cleaned it up before we took off. I rode with him to the dealership. He was very pleasant and personable. We talked about family, California and just stuff. I'm not a great passenger, but his driving never made me nervous. He was thorough, efficient and kind. Top notch service during a stressful time. Island Auto Towing BIG FAT O Have truck drivers that are rude liars damage your vehicles and make it look like it's your fault but they have a chip on their shoulders and have no consideration. . If you see their tow trucks on the road stay as far away as you can not because your afraid but because they will fuck up your car and deny that it was their fault . Their training and knowledge is solely for them to act like dicks, lie about hitting you and then laugh in your face waving and saying bye . I strongly recommend you do not use their service . So many of us have been in some type of situation with them they need to be taken out of business . Have a blessed day The only reason I even had to put a star there is because it wouldn't take my review otherwise I wouldn't give them anything they don't deserve anything you're a piece of shit read more

I was in of assistance to transport my toolbox. Island Auto Towing came highly recommended. So I reached out to Pravi at Island Auto Towing, and he not only responded to my message right away. He agreed to transporting my box at the date and time I needed it done. He only only asked for a picture of the box and size. Fast forward to the moving day, I contact Pravi and let him know that my box was wrapped up and in a potion to be picked up. He confirmed with his driver and sent him over. (This is the time where most have to wait hour or more for a driver) Island Auto Towing arrived to my house ready to latch my box onto the flat bed under 30 mins of contacting them. I've never experienced such speedy pickups from a tow company. Locked my box in very secure and we were on our way to drop it off. 10 miles later, we brought the box down. Moved it into the shop, and I was even dropped off back home afterwards. Island Auto Towing is a company that seems to carry itself with integrity, politeness, and care for every and anyone. I now know why they were recommended to me. I highly recommend them to you. read more

I was broke down from a dead battery full of corrosion. I spent an hour cleaning it as best I could with the tools I had. After putting connections back. I tried to start but wasn't enough.
