An update from the previous review is that we just took the car to another shop and found out these folks didn't fix/replace half the things they said was fixed/replaced and charged insurance for. The current mechanic took pictures of everything that the previous paperwork said was fixed/replaced and was not. He's told us and showed us things that were still damaged from the accident and supposedly repaired/replaced by this place. I didn't recommend them after the previous review, and will be opening a claim with the insurance company & reporting them for the things they claimed were fixed/replaced and weren't. There has to be some kind of fine, penalty or punishment for stealing insurance money for things not fixed/replaced as a business. Bad business etiquette and thievery is what took place here. The better business bureau will also be notified.

Well...here we go again. 3 weeks after picking up my car from my hit and run I got involved in another no fault accident when a woman decided to pull out of the curb without looking. Both right side doors ate it big time and they were completely gone and them some. This time around it wasn't a hit and run and she actually stopped to apologize and swap insurance info. Very next day brought my car back to ACC and Raul gave me a puzzled face. "Weren't you just here a few weeks ago?" he asked. "I know, I'm back, I got into another accident!" I replied in disappointment. Raul did a quick assesment and gave me a turn around time of 2 weeks. Since I was recently here I knew the drill and then had a rental car company scoop me up and take me away. I was updated with texts pretty much everyday on where the repair status stood. Got the car back exactly 2 weeks later like Raul said. When they pulled the car up it was literally like "nothing happened" damage wise to the car. Their workmanship is top notch and I'm glad this shop is so close to where I live.

Getting into an accident is stressful enough as it is, but the process of getting your car fix is a hassle in itself as well. I called so many places that were recommended by Tesla but they didn't pick up or said they weren't ready to work on teslas yet. Luckily ACC was able to fit me in for a quote the same day!! I was so excited- finally some progress towards restoring my baby. I went during lunch and they were understanding of my time and tried to get me back to work ASAP. I brought my car in the week after and was told it would be around two weeks. They finished in one and a half and called me to let me know that I could pick it up sooner. I also appreciate ACC for reaching out to my insurance when they weren't responding to me. The best part was they cleaned the interior and washed my car before I got it back. Felt like I was getting a brand new car!

Someone opened their door as I drove by at the gas station. Ouch.

Raul was helpful and explained all that was going to happen for my car. I have Geico and they work together. You are updated by text on the status of your car through a system which directs you to call the shop with any specific questions. It was quick and painless and they cleaned my car inside and out afterward. My left headlight wasn't part of the repair but they cleaned it well so it's not foggy anymore as well. I appreciate those little touches. The repairs are guaranteed for as long as I own the vehicle so if there are any issues, they'll take care of it. No complaints from me. I appreciate the communication and the fact that they pick up the phone.

I am updating this review with paint state on bumper after 2 years. Cracked and peeling. I've tried to get this repaired elsewhere but no shop is taking this repair and called it paint failure from the first shop. I am worried this will never be fixed properly and all shops will turn it away because of this repair... DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. LOOK AT THE REVIEW FROM 4 MONTHS AGO THAT ALSO SAYS THEY ARE COMMITTING INSURANCE FRAUD. Fight your insurance and do not let this shop touch your car!!!!! After a bumper replacement on a car with only 2000 miles, they put a refurbished bumper on (?!?!?!) and did an absolute failure of a paint job that is cracking and peeling. They don't care about the repair's lifetime warranty, it's impossible to get a hold of the damage adjuster, it's impossible to get Geico to make the damage adjuster call you. I've been trying for 3 weeks. "it's been too long since we repaired it it's not our fault that the paint is failing,You sure you didn't hit something?". Yes actually I'm sure, in fact a shop already refused this job saying it's paint failure and they don't know what was done to the bumper and they will not touch this car to repair it. I wasn't born yesterday, and grave mistake to treat a woman customer like they know nothing about their car. There is no primer on the bumper and there is no adhesion promoter, the bumper wasn't sanded at all. THE BUMPER WASN'T PREPPED. I'm looking the person evaluating the car in the eye and tell him there's no primer, and he's like "well there has to be primer on it otherwise it would've fallen off already". Really? Seems to be falling off at a pretty fast rate, just that the start was slowed down by the general cool mild weather of the area. That's not even it, I've been told about the exceedingly poor masking job they did around the paint, that I should walk around the dealer lot and see that all new cars have imperfect lines. "It is a one piece plastic texturized bumper, they're all like this". Really? The paint is lifting from the edges on new cars? The paint is cracking on the plastic panels of new cars every time it gets over 80 outside? As if the poor repair job wasn't enough, treating the customer as if they're stupid and gullible is really the cherry on the cake from this business.

    After

3 days after I got my Tesla Model Y, I got into an accident. I called my insurance and recommended this shop. This shop is Tesla Approved! After few weeks, looks like nothing happened to my car and it looks brand new still. (see attached photo) PS. They charged my car before returning to me!

10 STARS! If you're…read morelooking for something more than just a business that will deal with you, but more like a family or friend that takes care of you and will hook you up specially treating you like it's personal, this place is what you want! I had a minor incident that left considerable scratches, markings, and a small dent or two on my 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander (not white). I dropped by just to get an estimate, and even though I didn't make an appointment, Elias was cool & considerate enough to still take me and checked it out. Where one collision repair shop in Fruitvale estimated $1800 (to take the whole panel off and work it), and another in Hayward estimated over $500, Elias hooked me up with the MOST unbelievable subtracting discount! I think & imagine I would only see something reserved to be offered in that degree given to a business owners' personal family or friends! To add to the exceptional, he and his guy offered to take care of me right there and then even though it was the late in the day (and it's not like I didn't see other cars being worked on too). I waited with him in his office, and we were just shooting the breeze. Elias is just the coolest, chillest, most laid back, most personable guy. A guy that's eager to do you a favor, do what he can for you; completely why you can see how I described him/them as an establishment/person that will treat & take care of you like a family or friend. And if you are big dog lover like I am, there's a bonus with his office/business, and I loved hanging out with him and his dog (I think his name was Jake). That dog is just a big teddy bear that just wants your attention and to play with you. In the end, for what he offered to do it for and considering it was just what they were able to fit in late in the day, I would say it got back to 98% there (so much so I even offered to give more $, which he wouldn't take [would only accept this Yelp review and pets to the dog]). To the extent that when I very apprehensively/fearfully showed it to my very scrutinizing-type wife, she accepted it and even took to it without having me take it back and get any more work done (to complete it by the last 2 percent; get it to the full 100%)! This goes to show that this place is as surprisingly impressive and proficient as I was surprised by my very scrutinizing wife's acceptance & approval. Couple notes about this place -- try not to park in the back, they do work there with cars coming in & out (it's not just for temporarily placing cars like I thought haha); just park in front of the garage opening (he prefers it right outside his office to see what has to be done). Also, as mentioned before, it's best to make an appointment even for an estimate. Elias (and Jake[?]) and his guy (I really wish I got his name; because I highly doubt I would've gotten such an awesome outcome if he wasn't willing as well) are the best! I can't imagine finding a cooler, most considerate guy in this. He/They did it with such quality work (look at my other estimates & what it would take) where I'm off the hook with my rather scrutinizing wife, and he/they did me the hugest favor with what he/they offered to do it for (that I imagine like only reserved for family or friends), I'm sure he'd treat & do the same for you or anybody.

I used yelp's "Get Pricing" quote tabs is collect some quotes. Most shops responded by telling me to come in, so they could give me an estimate. Not even a ball park figure. Um, why did I go to all the trouble of taking 5 clear shots of all the work I needed and including a concise description of exactly what I wanted to be done only to still have to come in for the quote? I mean why offer the quote option at all? So only a few places actually sent me quotes. Those are the only ones I engaged. Thankfully, one of them was Bay Colors Refinishing. Their quote of $3000 was the lowest, tied with another shop. The others were $3500 and above. I decided that it would be between Bay Colors and the other shop since they offered the same price and both averaged 5 star reviews. So I took it to both of them to get estimates based on actual visuals. Really, who has the time and trunkloads of gas money to go to all these other quote-less guys? I went to Bay Colors first. Kathy who handled communication was great. Always prompt and friendly. When I got there, the owner, Tri (like in tree) was under a car doing work, but soon stopped just so that I could get the estimate quickly. He said he would honor the quote of $3000. I was pleasantly surprised he was actually willing to straight honor the quote! I drove to the other place. The guy making the assessment quoted $4700! I almost laughed, but bit my tongue to be nice because at least he had let me use their restroom. As I was quietly and hastily side-stepping back to my car, he saw I was trying to escape, and quickly said, 'How much were you looking for?" Me: "Um, $3000..." Him: Silence. I would've burned rubber out if there, but didn't want to push the Honda's older engine. I also wanted to rush home to check the mirror to see if my smile was somehow seriously betraying a gullible-fool face. I mean how do you hike it up $1,700?? Even if you were thinking you were willing to come down half of that during bargaining, do you really believe I would accept $850 over the online quote?? Not to self: Adjust smile to look more intimidating and less moronic. (If you want to know the name of the shop, message me. I didn't actually use their services, so I don't feel like calling them out.) Another thing I also appreciated about Bay Colors is that after bringing my car in, Tri did find things that could have legitimately hiked up the price. But he said even with the extra work, he would stick to the quote. I got the sense that he truly wanted to help take care of me and my car, not just rack up a quick buck. So I chose Bay Colors and eventually dropped the car off there. When I was about to leave Kathy asked me how I was getting back home. I told her I would be BARTing back to Oakland. They ended up calling and paying for an uber to take me to the BART station! One of the best customer service experiences of any kind I've ever had. After a few days, I went to pick up the car and it looked great! I did notice that the hood still didn't completely close all the way as I had mentioned when I first brought it in and pointed it out to Tri again. He soon went to work on it quickly, and made sure it closed right. On top of that they had even meticulously vacuumed the interior! I'm really glad I chose Bay Colors. Even though it's in Hayward, and I had to BART down from Oakland, it was definitely worth the trip!

I would like to mention I did take it to another detailer right after the incident and wasn't happy of the quality of work. After some online research I spoke to Kathy over the phone she was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the entire process. They took my car in, and within just five days, I had my car back with a brand-new spoiler that was perfectly matched to the original paint. Like WOW!!!! The quality of the repair was outstanding, and the service I received was excellent from start to finish. I'm especially grateful to Guy, the office team manager, for ensuring everything went smoothly and stress-free. Thank you again for the fantastic service! The bad news is that plastic deforms too much from a collision, you can't just massage it back to shape with a hair dryer. Also, who knows if anything else on the car behind the plastic is damaged or out of alignment. California Collision came to the rescue and was able to replace my bumper cover, have it painted, and then recalibration done for the various car sensors to eliminate fault codes. I originally stopped in just to get an estimate, and Christian was polite, professional, and very accommodating. He's bilingual (Spanish and English), and I was able to speak with him in both, which I really appreciated. He also took the time to set expectations clearly: he said it might take 1 to 2 weeks and that they wouldn't guarantee the paint would blend perfectly with the rest of the car since I wasn't repainting the whole vehicle. I respected the honesty because my goal was simple, make the car look presentable again (it had ugly fading), and I wasn't chasing a showroom-perfect match. The estimate was right up my alley, so I dropped the car off that same day and walked home (I live nearby). About a week and a half later, the car was ready, and the results were even better than I expected. The paint blended so nicely that I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the newly painted panels and the older parts of the car. It looks clean, uniform, and way better than before. This is our family car and my daughter drives it, so I mainly wanted something presentable, and they delivered. If you want a shop that communicates clearly, is bilingual and easy to work with, and provides excellent value, I'd absolutely recommend Accurate Auto Body & Paint.
