I guess that's there way of charging for an "estimate" Melissa also said the owner is a designer. If that's so, his expertise should be part of the process automatically. You know, the cost of doing business. I read in a previous review that their estimate was done contactless with photos sent by the customer. Looks like that's NOT their process any longer. We hired an another plumber and found out that when Alan built our restroom, he made the most basic, unforgivable plumbing mistakes that no professional should ever make. * Toilet Disaster: Alan jammed a 3-inch flange onto a 4-inch drain without securing it properly. This meant toilet water leaked underneath for years, creating a breeding ground for mold. * Shower Leak: He didn't even bother to use Teflon tape to seal the shower pipes, causing water to drip inside the walls, fueling even more mold growth. Because of Alan's shoddy work, our entire restroom was infested with mold, which then spread to our garage and living room. Worst of all, my son, who has been using that restroom daily, has been sick for over two years--all because of Alan's negligence. Now, we are paying the price--$30,000 in repairs, a full-scale mold remediation team, and the health of our entire family at risk. DO NOT HIRE ALAN FOR ANYTHING. He is a complete fraud who doesn't care about quality, safety, or your family's well-being. Save yourself the money, stress, and health risks--stay far away from him!

It was Friday noon and Steven came over to see what was going on (summer time and Fridays are usually busy, yet he made sure not to delay). Thankfully he acted quickly. By doing so he prevented so much damage from happening (like redoing walls and ceiling and the worst (not that the others are that great..) - mold - which we managed to avoid thanks to his quick response. Steven is such a professional, as well as kind, accommodating, easy to work and communicate with. He explained everything thoroughly! Dried the walls as long as was needed to make sure all wetness is gone. He was available to communicate as much as we needed. We can't thank him enough. Steven was also very flexible with his schedule, to come over and check that everything was working well and drying up as expected. Last, but not least, the price was extremely fair (he did not charge more even though we needed all the equipment for extra 2 days). He gave us an estimate in October for a remodel of our kitchen and master bath, as well as for upgrades throughout the house, which we needed before we put it on the market. We knew we wouldn't be ready to start work until the end of December, but he and his workers worked around our schedule. Joseph even went with me to pick out tile, and helped by suggesting the most up-to-date and popular "looks." The "demo" started in January and, as expected, things got changed and added as we started getting everything installed. Joseph was extraordinarily responsive to our needs and our desires, always offering explanations, alternatives, and suggestions whenever a problem or question arose. We ended up with a "new" master bathroom, new flooring almost throughout the house, a whole new look to the kitchen, and so much more! The whole house was painted (including the 2-story-high ceilings in the family and office spaces), the deck and pergola were stained, our new front door was made and installed to our specs, new main area ceiling fans and lighting, and new hardware and fixtures throughout the house.
