We are very unhappy with our 50 floor experience and would not recommend them to anyone. From the start, they inflate prices tremendously and use a gimmicky 50% off offer to make you think you're getting a deal. Color options are limited, especially for off white and neutral shades. The week of the scheduled installation, I didn't hear a peep from anyone, and had to call multiple times the day before in order to confirm they were coming. Then on the day of installation, they were super late, and they didn't call ahead either to let us know they were coming or to let us know they were running behind. And finally, the finished product is not good quality. We have a line running through our entire room because they cut the carpet improperly. I am extremely disappointed and honestly want my money back. How can professional carpet installers make a mistake like this? We'll have a very visible seam through the entire room until we inevitably replace the carpet again. Steer clear of this company. read more

I never got far enough with 50 Floor to know whether their installation of hardwood floors was good or not. Customer service was HORRIBLE. I couldn't even talk on the phone with the local store - when you call, you get the main number - and who knows where that is. I got frustrated and eliminated them from my possible vendors. Then I couldn't get them to stop emailing, texting, and calling me. I even left several messages after I'd made the decision to cancel the meeting with the sales person. I finally got that cancelled, but despite me saying EVERY TIME, that I had selected another vendor, they just keep bothering me. There is no excuse for this lack of coordination and communication in business. I am 72 years old and have to sell my house to make ends meet, I decided to have 50 floor come out. They gave me a price, but after two to three weeks, I decided I wouldn't be able to afford it after all. So I called them and they gave me cheaper quality flooring that would cost 3000 less. I said ok, but after I got some big bills in, I called and told them I dont think I can afford to buy it after all as I live on S.S. and had some bills come in that I wasn't expecting. I called and left the manager a message five times and told him I know there would be a penalty for canceling, but since I live off of S.S. only, could they go easy on me. After all, I called Dec. 4th and the flooring wasn't supposed to be put in until Jan 29. He never once got back to me when finally I saw a deposit of $6846. Out of the $10,000 that I gave them that's all I got back. So, the email did no good, it didn't matter if I told him the money they charged me for canceling would be like taking 3x my SS for 3 months. He didn't have a heart. It was only about the money they can swipe from the poor. I am now out about 4K because I couldn't afford their flooring. I know they hadn't even ordered it at this point because it was almost two months before the installation date. Just be very aware that if you cancel your order with them, they will charge you a percentage of the cost of your whole job and could care less what your situation is. Beware! I would recommend this business with some cautions. First, let me say the end product came out well. The installers did a very good job and picked up all debris prior to departure. In looking for new floors for about 1500 sf of space, we looked at reviews regarding our different options in our area. When we settled on 50 Floors, they had a representative come out and show us various materials. I think she was very knowledgeable and listened to our needs. Especially the fact that we have 4 dogs that own the house/floors. We settled on a vinyl floor. I don't think the samples were a clear representation of what we got. The samples are on some hardback backing and the actual material is thin. Our material removed was more thicker and now the vinyl appears as if we are walking on an actual cement floor. The scheduling went well and the installers arrived on time. Installation began Monday the 19th of December. That first day, the installer told me, that he doubted there was enough material because lots of it was damaged. I asked if he had shared this with his office and he said yes. Fortunately, the first day was really about removing the existing laminate and tile. That was lots of work in itself. I was expecting everything to be covered, but they did not cover fully. We have lots of bookshelves. We did lots of prep work ourselves removing all our art work and major electronics to ensure there was no accidents. When all was said and done, there was major clean up. And strongly recommend for homeowners to check there HVAC filters. On the second day as the install went as far as it could, the installer confirmed he had reached the end based on damaged product. He suggested I call the office and advise since they were not paying attention to him. I spoke to the office and they acted as if this was the first heard. Now they had to order and it was a few days before Christmas. I explained they had to do what they had to do because we had family coming over for the holidays and could not have bare floors. Fortunately we had a good install team that managed to work with some of the material and get things done enough so all we had to do is close off one area until the new material came. The material came a couple of weeks later. It was installed. We had found a few things that needed attention and they got on them. Again installation with right material went well. They gave us two extra boxes, as most flooring normally does. They were closed, but I noted the other day as I was putting it away that pieces fell out, so I suspect it is some of the damaged material. I can't say where the material damage went wrong, but I can advise that the quality assurance of product MUST be checked before scheduling with a customer. And I suggest bigger pieces be provided during demonstration so customer can have an actual look of the material they are getting. And perhaps tell them that the samples are on backings that are just to demo, the material is not actually that thick. My cautions to prospective Customers: - Consider 50 Floors - a good option. - Look and understand the material you have choosen. - Verify with Customer Service that all material is available and has been checked for quality. - Hope you get a good install team as I did - don't hesitate to give them a punch list of any findings you are not happy with. We called 50Floor and they were able to quickly get someone out to give us an estimate. JR showed up at our home promptly and was very professional. We discussed the scope of work and then he took measurements. I had previously taken measurements of the areas and we came up with the same sqft. He then showed us all of the options of carpet and explained the differences between them. We made our choice and felt very good about it. They ordered the carpet and we received a cal when the carpet arrived. We then scheduled the actual install date. From quote to install it was only about 3 weeks which I felt was very fair. The install team showed up and they moved most of our furniture and put it all back when they completed the job. I received an in home estimate from Mark with 50 Floor recently. He was the 3rd person I'd talked to for flooring quotes of my new home. I was feeling a bit disenfranchised as the first two companies had started with super high rates only to come down after I said no. (Plus, neither had the right color I was looking for.) Mark's quote, with a little more work added) came in less than the two other company's "lowest" rates. I was so appreciative that he didn't start with a high number just to look like he was giving me a deal. I immediately canceled my 4th estimate. Mark was fantastic and patient. Installation was for Thurs but Installers called Tues afternoon to see if they could install Wednesday--next day!!! Installers, Alex and Jose, arrived at 1pm and were done in three (3) hours. They moved furniture out, pulled old carpets and installed new carpets and put furniture back in rooms. All within 3 hours. I was amazed, thrilled and very pleased with their courteous, professional performance. I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend 50 Floors and their installers, Alex and Jose. I would not recommend this company at all!! We paid alot to have our floors installed only to have several boards pop up. The first year, they were out several times to replace boards. When we bought them, we were told yhey had a 20 year warranty, never mentioned after 1 year we would be charged AGAIN for labor! We decided to make the change from carpeted and vinyl floors to laminate floors. It may be a simple decision to make, however there is a lot of personal work required on your part to make it happen if your house is currently lived in. You must completely empty out all your shelves and remove all small articles off of the floors and stash them out of the way such as in your garage. The reason for this is that your furniture will be moved several times over the course of the installation and a lot of dust WILL be kicked up during the process. So it's important for you to know ahead of time that you will be cleaning a lot of dust off of your furniture which is why you need to cover your couches and furniture with sheets. So with that in mind make sure you have allowed for some time off for cleaning and unpacking after the installation. Our experience begin with Diane arriving with plenty of samples to look at and lots of information to share concerning the different products to choose from. She then measured the entire downstairs area and gave us estimates on the differing products. We decided on reclaimed laminate and for 900 ft.² and we were able to get it completely installed and paid for for $8000. A few days later at the appointed time Edgar and his three partners quickly tore out the carpet smashed out some of the tile and ripped out the vinyl flooring. It was obvious these four had a great deal of experience in taking out the old flooring and putting in the new laminate. We were amazed that they actually got four rooms and one bathroom completed in one day, we were expecting 2 days. One thing you need to be aware of is that they do install quarter round all around the edges of the floor which means your furniture will now be about an inch away from the original baseboard. The other thing you need to know is that in order to install the laminate around your door openings they must make a cut around the base which they do not caulk (see photo). All in all we are very pleased with the installation and it has significantly made a difference in both increasing the value of the home and its usefulness. read more

My hardwood floors are beautiful. Installer Hector ran his butt off, but I would have preferred more people for the job (3 bedrooms going from carpet to hardwood). Be prepared that it may take longer than expected, but they helped me refurnish the rooms, putting boxes back so I can unpack and reset. That was a huge help. Until, a few days later and the carpet/wood flooring separated in the bedroom/bathroom. The tracks for the sliding doors in two bedrooms were just completely covered up. Mind you it's been years since the installation but my panties are in a wad today because I'm tired of taking my doors off to get to anything in these closets. My experience start to finish was not great. The salesperson was pushy and stated the offer given was only good for the day so I was pressured to make the decision right then. Then I was made to wait month for my floor appointment which I get as far as waiting for supplies but they would tell me a time that would be in then I wouldn't hear from them past the given date. My floors were rushed in to 2 days and you can tell. They left parts of the carpet without the cushion underneath. It stick s up in the corners of my stairs. And they didn't caulk around my toilets. I was told they would add strips of border frame at the bottom of my frame for a height difference and they were all dirty. Not just a quick wipe needed but stained. They also only put them in cetain spots so it looks weird in the spots they just left off.So I spent 10,000 on something that is terrible and we are stuck with. read more

We just concluded a nearly whole house switch from carpet and tile to hardwoods. First, 50 Floor replaced our front porch and laundry room tiles in two quick work days prior to arrival by their hardwood crew. Beautiful new hardwoods in the living room, master bedroom, dining room, foyer, and long hallways followed. We cannot say enough about the pre-construction presentation by Brad Dette. He took the time to come to our home twice with complete tile/hardwood sample choices and exacting pricing before contracting. The job was scheduled exactly according to our wishes, took less than a week, and was crew managed and installed onsite perfectly by Eddie. The crew of 5 moved our antiques carefully, covered everything with plastic sheeting, and did not break a thing. We cannot say enough about the workmanship and especially cleanup after a very dusty job of removing a very large amount of old Italian tile. We also got a nice followup call from Derek in management, as well as contact from Brad assuring us that they were there to assure satisfaction. The American made Hickory floors are magnificent. We had a pipe leak in our house and needed new flooring. While we were fairly happy initially, the installation was a mess (the people did not put plastic up and we had dust everywhere). The baseboards were messy, and look unfinished. Now, the glue is coming up throughout the entire house. I've tried getting in touch with them to address the issue, but have not heard anything back. It's very disappointing and frustrating. If I had written this review initially, it probably would have been 3 stars. We were one of the causalities of the February ice storm, we researched and received several quotes and ultimately made the decision to go with 50 Floor. After 2 months of living with concrete floors and being in a dustbowl we were beyond ready and excited to get our new floors. When the scheduled install date arrived, the scheduled crew was less than enthusiastic, seemed they did not expect the scope of work that would need to be done, they made the decision that with the possibility of rain they wanted us to reschedule, needless to say it did not rain till 3 days after the scheduled install date, we felt it was an excuse to not do the job that day. We reached out to Diego with our thoughts and disappointment with how the situation was handled and his immediate response and dedication to great customer service kicked in. He said he was on it and promised a new crew. The following Monday the new crew arrived and let me tell you these guys kicked some serious butt. Whoever says he is the manager takes no ownership: no returned calls, no initiated calls, the job--once scheduled--was supposed to take 90 min (tiniest little room). Crew didn't come on time, no one apologized. Crew took all day: 8 hrs plus to do what was supposed to be a 90 min job. Again, no one apologized. My husband owns his own business; lost the whole day and several appointments due to this. Manager, when we could finally get a hold of him, took 50 dollars off the job: "buy yourself a beer. Very happy with my new flooring! I used to have carpet in majority of the house but replaced it with Vinyl Plank that is great for dogs. My floors are beautiful. The customer service was great from start to finish. Brad came out to give the quote and had flooring samples to view and try out. The pricing was very fair with what you get. I had Bamboo flooring installed coming on two years ago now. Jason came out to do the sales pitch, and he was pleasant. The "deal" he gave me was free labor on the install. I thought it expensive to pay $8000 for just doing Bamboo on my ground floor and to tile two bathrooms, but I had gotten some other quotes and his was a little less. I decided to go with the deal, hoping that I could cross this one off and move on to the next project. The flooring was fine for about 9 months, and then I noticed it started lifting in the entryway. It started as a slight pushback when stepped on, as if it were hollow. Now it is beginning to buckle on the seams of multiple planks. I did some research, and there are some installation issues that I am concerned with. Yes, Bamboo absorbs H2O & expands, but the area is not anywhere near a water source. The explanations I am finding are that the edge of the flooring is too close to the wall, not allowing room for the flooring to expand/contract properly. As time continues, the damaged flooring will have to be replaced. Since it is now past the short warranty date, I am as they say, "@%#3%=&$+*!!!!" Now I get to take money from the budget of another project and put it back into the repair. Bottom line, do not get fooled by the "deal" at hand, it was not worth it. read more

We love our new floors! My husband and I were looking to replace our floors and reached out to 50 Floors to come and give us a quote. Brad came to our house with samples of every type of flooring because we weren't sure what we wanted and what we could afford. He was very patient with us and explained all of our options and helped us choose the best flooring for our lifestyle and budget. The most important factor was our time frame. The flooring we chose ended up being out of stock and I was very heartbroken at first. Brad was quick to offer another option that was in stock and would be in in time for our deadline. It was slightly higher priced and he did not hesitate to upgrade us at no additional charge. He said what was most important was that we were completely satisfied. We agreed to move forward with the other option. Now that they have been installed, I have to say my floors look amazing. They are so beautiful and bright and I could not be happier with how they turned out. They are much lighter then the original ones I chose and make my house look so much larger.
