They were loud and silly, showing off and making jokes amongst each other and goofing around while moving things. At my new condo they behaved even worse! One of them had their music blasting loudly as he moved my stuff through the halls, having no regard for other tenants. Once inside my condo they continued to use foul and inappropriate language. One mover asked to use my bathroom which I did allow as he was the tamest of them all. These young men were loud and careless. I did have two pieces of furniture that ended up being scratched up. When I spoke to Dan about this he seemed to care and told me it would be taken care of, BUT NEVER DID!! He stopped responding to my emails and calls. I waited over a year to write this review. I followed up several times for reimbursement but Dan just ignored me. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE! I would have been better off finding a few local highschool kids to do the job. This company is an absolute joke and to think it was my realtor who actually recommended them!!! I do not recommend this company. Dan and his crew are careless and unprofessional. Your stuff is not in good hands with them- trust me!!!!!

What happened over the next week and a half was discouraging. I told them that I had a very restricted schedule (because I am a teacher). I cannot leave classes just because I have movers coming over. We tried to find a time, but it was hard. Eventually I asked my boss for a favor so I could get a time that would work. He let me out of a faculty meeting. This was a big favor. I worked hard to meet these movers halfway! But then on the day of the move, the movers called to say "Hey, we're done early today. Can we come to your place now?" It was TWO HOURS BEFORE THE AGREED TIME! I had to teach my class! What the hell? Who do these people think they are? I should leave work two hours earlier than OUR AGREED TIME just because it was MORE CONVENIENT FOR THE MOVERS? I tried to reach the dispatcher, Judy. I called her twice, but she didn't pick up. She claimed that she called me twice, but my phone said she hadn't. My phone ALWAYS picks up the missed calls. Her movers were certainly able to reach me via the same number. Judy said that she COULDN'T SEND THE MOVERS AT THE AGREED TIME BECAUSE SHE "DIDN'T WANT THEM WAITING AROUND FOR TWO HOURS." She said that over EMAIL. WHY ARE HER SCHEDULING ISSUES MY PROBLEM? But she also said that nothing could be done about it. She made it seem like SHE was doing ME a favor by agreeing for such a late move time (4pm to 5pm). "Movers start early. The work hard and they finish early." She said she worked really hard to find a time for me, she really did me a favor. Great, that would have been nice IF THEY HAD SHOWN UP. You said 4-5PM, BE THERE AT 4-5PM! AND DON'T ACT LIKE YOU ARE _DOING_ME_A_FAVOR_BY_DOING_YOUR_JOB! Who do these people think they are? I cancelled my order. I will not be using them. I will be using someone else. This is flabbergasting, unacceptable. I can't hand over money to people who do such a miserable job with their customer service. Use someone else, someone who actually cares about their customers. Judy lost my sale, and broke a promise just because she can't schedule properly and because she didn't want to have her movers "sitting around for two hours" because she didn't have anything scheduled for them. I've had a storage space here for about 7 years and never in my life have I come to my unit and seen it cover in RAT FECES, not mice but RATS. I inherited furniture in 2019 from my now deceased mother, and imagine my heartache and disgust when opening my unit to find doodoo all over her belongings. I've been here since it was Roslindale storage, since then it has changed over companies at least two times, and I've also upgraded units since then as well. Since the two change overs there has not been a new lease sent or signed by me but money has continues to be taken for the unit. It was not until I came to the office on the second day after making my claim that I was told they are not responsible for my belongings because it's in the lease, that they then realized they don't have a lease agreement with my signature agreeing that I understand those conditions. It was then sent via email and they tried to make me sign it. Someone messed up in house and now they don't want to be liable for it. Why would I now sign a lease agreeing that they are not responsible after my claim. I contacted the district manager Paul at the Dedham Allied Drive location and he initially came off as if he was understanding even having a heart to heart with me because I was so upset about my deceased mother's belongings by sharing his own personal story. Because of this I agreed to work it out with the company when he told me to send him an estimate. They agreed to make payment of the $277 but added only if we signed the lease. I then asked how do I know I will be refunded for my belongings if I signed the lease. I asked for a written agreement for the payment promised, and I was told they will not do that. And I politely declined to move forward and said I would just file a small claim in court. This was a very snakey move because if you were truly planning on paying out the money why couldn't you give a written agreement upon what you agreed on. And to believe I shared intimate stories about my deceased mother thinking I was connecting with someone on a human level to just be proven that it was just a scam to get me to do what they wanted me to do, just to cover their own behinds. Cause once it's signed thats saying I agreed that they are not liable. You guys messed up in house, you never gave a lease after 2 switch overs and continued to take money for a space and my property was damaged and you don't want to be held liable for it. Niles was extremely helpful and I recommend this storage area for anyone shopping for one in the area. The whole building is climate controlled, there's an access door that you can use to enter without anyone's help to gain access at any time, and a large bay access in case you need to back a large moving truck in to unload or load.
