Everyone I interacted with at the company was helpful and professional. I received a quote from their estimator who was knowledgeable about the moving business and gave me lots of information about how best to pack and prepare for the move. On moving day, four men arrived smiling and ready to go. They introduced themselves and off they went. They worked quickly and efficiently but were pleasant and friendly every step of the way. I needed to store my household over night and have my furniture and boxes delivered to the new house the next day after closing. When I arrived at the new house, they were there waiting for me. As they were unloading, they regularly checked in with me to ask where I wanted things and if I was undecided, they were patient and gave me a few minutes to decide. They also paid attention to how the boxes were labeled and got them into the right rooms. This made unpacking much easier for me since I didn't need to resort boxes after they left. Given how stressful moving can be, these folks made it as easy as they could. read more

Able Moving and Storage did a fantastic job with our move. It could not have gone better then it did. We moved from Henniker to Salem. The four man crew, led by Bob were very efficient and polite. We actually got a significantly lower quote from another well known mover in NH but went with Able instead, we just got a better feeling from them and we were proved right. They estimated the move based on worse case scenario of time but it was done much quicker and the final price was lowered accordingly. Easy peasy. I would highly recommend them. read more

We have used their service twice recently, first time they moved our furniture from our home (sold) to a storage unit (a few miles away), second time (two months later) at the storage place, loaded a rented Penske truck. They did an excellent job, especially Pat, he has 32 years experience, he is like a "Jigsaw puzzle artist" when loading a truck, snugly, evenly and balanced. I myself drove this rented 26' Penske truck for 8 days, almost 2800 miles to NV, the furniture are all good without any damage. It makes this trip worthwhile. Sharen is also very nice, she arranged things perfectly. First time the original moving date was raining day, so she changed the date for us. read more

We could not be happier with Able Moving. A rep visited our house and had a professional app to catalog our stuff and provided a very reasonable quote (other companies either wouldn't visit the house or did but took notes on a pad). The day of the move, the very experienced 4 man crew arrived early and did an awesome job getting everything on the truck in a perfect fit. At the new house, they unloaded quickly and went above and beyond to get everything in place and installed with no damage. Our family, former military, has had the experience of moving 20+ times in the last few decades, including twice this year. After extensive research I decided to go with Able moving over some of the national brands. This was our experience, and why they earned this rating. -Management was in touch with me from start to finish. I was always able to get in touch with someone, and they were prompt and upfront about contacting me so I always knew what was happening and how issues were being addressed. -The crew they sent had enough guys to easily move our items in the scheduled amount of time. They were on time, prepared, respectful, and worked well with us. They were professional at all times. We received phone calls to let us know when they would arrive. -They treated our personal items with respect. We had most of our items packed but there were a few fragile and important items and pictures that they packed beautifully. All of our household goods made it through the move intact. There was no damage to either the house we moved from, or the historic house we moved into. The guys worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. We are a family with pets, kids, baby. This moving company was great. As things often go wrong during moves.... our truck broke down on one of the hottest days of the year. They addressed it quickly and effectively, and got all of our goods to us the next day, with little inconvenience. The initial quote was honored and there were no surprise charges. This company is staffed with honest, hard working folk who offer competitive prices and lots of communication and support. Moving is stressful but this was one of our best moves. I can't recommend them enough. We happen to be moving veterans, but this ranks as one of our best moves and we will be using them again. read more

To update a previous review.. this company moved my belongings. When they were delivered the television was broken. It looks like it was dropped.. the glass on the tv is all cracked.. this tv cost me over 1000.00 about 5 years ago. It was still a good tv. All this guy wants to do is pay me .60 per pound. I think this tv is worth more than that. I will never recommend this moving company to anyone. I would suggest you find some other company. read more

I had never had the luxury of having movers to help with moving before, and I have to say it's really awesome, especially with such a great team of professionals like the ones from Able! The three gentlemen that came over were very polite and efficient. They talked with us about the job and kept us informed as they were moving things. Example: they asked us to unplug our TV so that when it came time to move it, it would be all set instead of asking us to unplug it when they got to it, which would have wasted time. They weren't afraid to ask questions about what was being moved, and were honest about what they would and wouldn't do. On a couple occasions we would go from one room to another and be surprised at the progress they had already made! We couldn't believe how fast they moved our huge sectional couch. They even asked before using our bathroom, and let us know when they were going to take a quick break/lunch break. When there was a lull in their work, they were very friendly and we even chatted a little about what was on TV. They joked with one another but weren't crude (as I have seen some furniture delivery guys be). These guys are really awesome. I can't stress that enough. Their minimum time was 3 hours, their estimate for our apartment was 4-5 hours, and they got it all done and unpacked at the new place in 3.75 hours, including a lunch break and moving a difficult couch at the new place! A really great job, and I would definitely use their services again. read more

We have moved up and down the east coast several times and have always had an excellent experience with Allied. We decided to use local as Able had excellent reviews. The estimator was friendly and knowledgeable. He highly complemented the movers as they were all employees for several years. We felt we were in good hands. Moving day came and it went without a hitch, our belongings were going to storage as our apartment would not be available for several weeks. Move in day was a disaster, a very sturdy straight chair leg was broken in two. One man picked up the box with our 55" TV was in, the box they provided and packed, it slid out of the box and smashed to the ground. A three draw chest was so damaged that it is unrepairable. It appears there is replacement damage insurance but it was not offered to us. In the small print on the contract it says Able Moving and Storage will pay .60 on the pound of damage. Well, we received a check in the mail for $66.00. They never contacted us with any kind of apology, I guess that illustrates their customer service commitment. read more
