The day-to-day workers in this company are hardworking young men. The owners of this company are money grubbing heartless mongers. My 19yr old Son, who never took a day off prior, asked for a day off to say goodbye to his terminally grandfather in Boston (my Dad) ...who was the best Dad and Papa in the world (imo). Zach Ellis told him if he took the day off, he cant work there anymore and replied to him with text messages that made my skin curl. The text exchange, which I will share at a later date, is so offfensive that it made my mom (the widow) cry. How can anyone, business owner or otherwise, have this much greed and lack of human empathy. I have friends of mine that worked for the Ellis's years ago and it was a reputable business that cared about there employees and customers. Now it's a heartless money grubbing company that cares nothing about their employees or customers. I hope to I run into Zach Ellis and can share my sentiments in my own way with him. This is the second time I have used 3E movers and both times the crew arrived on time. The crew was professional and accomodating to the few requests I made. There was no damage to any of my belongings and nothing went 'missing', as had happened years ago with another moving company out of Acton. My furniture was fully wrapped with clean, quilted blankets, while other crew members moved items, , and the crew chief organized items being placed in the truck. 3E handled a cross state move. Part of the service was storing our household goods for several weeks before our new home closed. The pre-pickup discussion was thorough and pleasant. The pickup was handled well. However the first sign of a problem was taking goods we explicitly told them were needed over the gap period. The move in was handled well and the crew was polite. Up until this point we were very pleased. It took us awhile to unpack so shame on us. We finally noticed that all of our good cookware was missing. The All-Clad and other commercial grade stuff. Easily $1500. The basic items did make it to the new place. This is just an observation; I'm not accusing anyone of anything. It took several calls to get a follow up. Finally we were told they didn't have it because it had been stored in a dedicated location that was completely emptied on the day of the move. We specifically packed those items carefully, some of which was passed down to us. They refused to meet the replacement value and were only willing to offer $400. No idea of it's whereabouts. Sad because the items have been used for everyday cooking and holidays for years. One note regarding any household move: We thought we were diligent by very carefully packing and clearly labeling all of the boxes. We highly recommend not only doing that but taking pics of each major item and each box opened and closed. Might have helped find it. read more

Moving is the worst! It's beyond stressful and so exhausting! 3E made moving so so easy. They are family owned and it truly shows; they actually care about their jobs/work (which is a rare find these days)! The team is hardworking, fast and knowledgeable about white glove packing. They were also very friendly and accommodating. I was disappointed, however, in them failing to be upfront and transparent about not disposing paint when I made a point of needing that help in the estimate appointment and later in pointing out the paint on move day. After the first day of packing, the paint hadn't been touched. When I called the office, I was told that they couldn't take it and acted like I should know that. Fortunately, on the day of my move the Devens, MA hazardous disposal was open which only happens twice a month. But what a stressful hustle piled on to the stress of moving. Also, after they left, I noticed a good number of things left behind like a picture and vacuum cleaner behind doors, things in the draws, etc. read more

The one star was based entirely on their pricing for a very small half hour job that involved walking about 20 steps and no stairs. 3E moved us from Westford to southern NH last week. They showed up exactly when they said they would, with 5 strong guys and two big trucks, which was just what they'd estimated they'd need. For our 4 bedroom house, it took them about 9 hours. They were careful with everything, and we had no breakage. Before they left, they walked through the house with us to be sure all the furniture and heavy stuff was where we wanted it. And the final bill was slightly below the bottom end of their estimate. We were really delighted with how careful they were, how friendly and professional. Happy to refer them to anyone who's planning a move. read more

Mike, Zach, and the entire team at 3E made the stressful process of moving a whole lot easier. The crew showed up the day before the move, on time, and loaded up the house in about 3 hours. Recently, we moved and used 3E Moving and Storage located in North Chelmsford. They were timely and efficient in the packing and unloading. However, the packing damaged 7 of 8 hand painted plates from an antique set of porcelain china. The owners were made aware of their value and I requested that they be packed with extra care. Mike assured us that he would personally be responsible for the packing and that this was not to be a concern. As we moved this service twice in the past with no issue, we assumed that the move would be without damage. As we unpacked the plates, there were chips and large pieces missing from the rims of the plates. We emailed pictures, called and tried to find a good solution to the repair/restoration of the damaged plates. We have yet to receive a phone call or email to respond to our communications. I was told by the office staff that I needed extra insurance to cover the damage to the valuable plates. No one mentioned that when I asked for the special attention during packing. The office staff added that what was covered was about $.20 per plate. The cost of restoring the plates is about $1500. We were told that someone would be in contact with us shortly to discuss the situation. We have been waiting for over two months. Both my husband and myself have tried to contact and discuss the situation without any response or communication. If you are moving valuables, I would use another company that stands behind their service. read more

I have been both someone who's moved a few times over the past 10-12 years, as well as a Realtor, who's been in a position to recommend this wonderful family owned business. 3E has consistently provided excellent service, arrive when they say they will, the guys who do the move are pleasant, hard working, and leave the house clean and neat. They don't even complain when asked to rearrange a piece of furniture or two! I've recommended them to as many clients that I could, and NEVER had a complaint, which was vastly different from the experiences that my other sellers or buyers had, when working with other moving companies that they chose. I find it very annoying when you ask a moving company like 3E, that supposedly has a great repuation and you get quotes that are so far out of line with reality it makes one wonder how they remain in business. Recently I requested a quote for moving a refrigerator from my kitchen to my basement. I did get a prompt and courteous reply but the pricing was so outrageous, I had to listen to their voicemail twice to make sure I heard it correctly. $500.00 for maybe 15-20 minutes of work. Really??? If 3E Movers don't want to do small jobs or move heavy appliances, then they should just say so and not overprice their quotes to force good repeat customers to seek alternatives. In the end, I found one of their local competitors to do the job for less than half their price, and the results were perfect! read more

We have used this moving company three times in the past three months. They were pretty consistent for service, speed, on time arrival and politeness and professionalism of employees. The cost was consistent with the estimate - ultimately they only charge for the actual hours so the two smaller moves were less than the estimate. We did send several items to storage so I can't speak to that just yet, but each move was seamless and relatively easy. 3E were amazing. The day we moved, they arrived on time and in 90 mins they had loaded the van. The three young guys were terrific. Our things were in storage for 9 months. Absolutely no damage. The unloading into our new place also took 90 mins. and they had to carry a Peleton bike and a Clavinova to the second floor. I would not hesitate to recommend them. These movers are amazing! I can't recommend them highly enough. I had to do my move in 2 parts, with the first move going from the house I sold to their storage facility, and then a month later having them move my furniture from storage into my new home. Price was very reasonable for the move and for monthly storage fees, and the men are very polite. They did such a good job - no damage to furniture or homes. They are very gentle with everything and very quick, too. They don't complain, and they were happy to move my furniture a couple of times in my house if I didn't like the location of it when it was first moved in. Make sure you tip them well - they deserve it! They were also flexible on the move time, which was important to me. This is a MUST choose company!!!! Don't even waste your time with other company's. I moved cross country from AZ to MA and chose a nightmare of a moving company. Long story short I told them not to bother having a bootleg crew on delivery. That I would take care of the labor. I called about 5-6 companies on a Fri afternoon looking for a crew to unload a semi truck on Mon afternoon. I was fortunate enough to have Kate at 3E get me all set up on the fly! She arranged for a crew of 6 to be at my house after the guys already had a full days work. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with and was night and day to the companies I had already spoke too. After already spending an arm and a leg on a company to bring my stuff East, I wasn't able to pay top dollar for another crew, albeit being my decision to do so. Their price was extremely competitive and had a ton of value being that they were able to provide 6 guys. Other companies were offering 2-3 for that day. Zach, the foreman showed up precisely as previously discussed and was INSTRUMENTAL in assisting me with a totally irrational driver of the semi my goods were on. This driver wanted us to unload 12,000lbs of goods across a street with a double yellow line! He could of easily pulled down the side street next to my house but refused saying he thought he would get a ticket. Zach was amazingly professional in convincing this irrational driver, parking on the side street was a much more reasonable plan..........that took almost 45min! Bravo Zach! The remaining 5 guys showed up like ninja's in the night once Zach apparently gave them the green light that we were finally ready. (I was VERY appreciative as most of you customer know movers charge by the hour!). These guys took a walk though the house to get a layout of the rooms and in 1:30min that semi was empty! I have never seen such amazing movers in my life. They were careful, thoughtful, a pleasure to be around and extremely fast! All of my stuff was on its appropriate level........including the garage there are 4 levels to the house. I honestly didn't know a company like this existed. They are clearly run with such great leadership from the top and it has spilled all the way down the food chain. They made what started as a nightmare move, something that was very stress free and gave us such a sense of relief. Thank you 3E for being something that most companies aren't.......a complete package! Please save yourself the time and aggravation of multiple quotes and let 3E take care of you. Highly recommend!! We used 3E Moving &Storage for 2 separate residential moves. The most recent was the morning after the Super Bowl. Was a little worried about who would be moving me but the crew showed up on time and so very pleasant and professional! They packed up all the glass and dish ware and took care not to mark any walls or door frames when moving items out and into new place. Once we arrived at the new place, they even hung up some of the clothing in the garment boxes while I unpacked the dish ware and took away the trash.
