Received a notice the day prior that the trailer was no longer available and we had to pickup an hour away. When we went to return it to their Lowell office we went inside and the woman at the counter said we could just drop it on the side of the building with the others. I was directing my father while he backed the trailer into a spot when the same woman came outside and walked straight in between the truck and the trailer. She said "You're good" expecting the truck to just stop in its tracks while she was in a blind spot. I had to run to the front and tell him to stop the truck while she did nothing to avoid it. Luckily no one was hit but I had to explain to her how dangerous that was and she responded by throwing the trailer and speaking extremely rudely to me and walking back inside without a word about paperwork for returns or anything. Your employees are a liability to your company and have no business speaking to customers the way the do. Abington was the polar opposite, very nice people to work with. Avoid Lowell at all costs those people act like they're tring to commit insurance fraud.

I was renting from Simply Self Storage on Main Street in Tewksbury, across from WOW Fitness center and Papa Gino's, but dropped them for many reasons. Simply Self Storage was dirty (they never swept the common/ hall areas), always had broken/missing wheel carts, very poor lighting, poor security, broken elevators, freezing conditions in winter (and open to elements), and expensive for what you get. 495 Storage is nothing like it, and Cindy and Andrea are pleasant, professional, and hard workers. I only wish that they have 24 hour access to units by customers, which they don't. I'll stay with 495 Storage for now. Note: 495 Storage (545 Clark Rd, Tewksbury, MA) became CubeSmart sometime during 2014. The facilities are basically the same, and staff are friendly enough. I feel my personal property is safe and secure, and the facility is clean. Update On June 2016: Received notice in mail on a postcard that their prices are going up in 2 weeks at a 17 percent increase. Place (Cube Smart) was not cheap before, but is getting ridiculous now and not acceptable. The recent increase is 6-7 times the rate of the national inflation. What gives?

Well it turns out these business owners are no different than the corporate guys. My storage rent was raised 20 percent within two months of my move in date. The front door to wheel your stuff is jagged and broken making each trip difficult. I was willing to overlook the bad entryway and ridiculously small hours for a local business with affordable rates. Now I feel like it's appropriate to call out their business practices and advise you to go somewhere else.
