The Himachi shots alone will bring me back! Hubby and I had our anniversary dinner here and they did not disappoint. They were very attentive to detail and they truly made us feel special. We were given a Happy Anniversary card when we were seated. If you plan to come here you should already be prepared for a fine Dining experience. The budget conscious momma of 4 in me was a bit hesitant but hubby let me know that we deserved to treat ourselves and I hope to come back and do it again! What we ordered... We started off with cocktails. I forgot the name of mine but it was delicious and made me feel like I was on vacation. I probably asked for something fruity. Hubby got a dirty martini and a mule. Both were made great. The breadbasket had an assortment of all types of breads. The first is complimentary. It is very tempting to order another. I am a Himachi shot newbie. I have always heard about these shots and I finally got to try. They come in a pack of 6 and the presentation is lovely. I generally am not a fan of sushi, but these were a 10/10. A burts of flavor that melts in your melt. Bone in ribeye and Filet Minyon. Presentation 10/10. I love a beautiful dish with a flower. My filet was cooked to perfection, which to me is medium. We also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts. I think I have become a Brussels sprout snob...lol. These were good, not the best I had, but good. The portion was smaller than I expected. Desert...winner! Forgot the name, but whatever it is OMG...Yum If you like matcha and chocolate. Get this. Once we finished dinner our server brought us another treat and two glasses of complimentary champagne to celebrate our anniversary. As well as some watermelon cotton candy:-) Our bill was about $320 before tip for the two of us. Overall we had a wonderful time and were provided excellent service and delicious food.

We came here for a birthday celebration in November. The service is excellent but that's all I really have to say unfortunately. Everything is way overpriced. You can easily make a better steak at home. The food was good enough (but not when you consider the cost) but also severely upset my stomach and made for a terrible nights sleep. The restaurant is way too dark, you can barely see anything. In the pictures you can see what $700 will buy you (there was also 4 alcoholic beverages, a chicken dish, and a soda). Not worth it. $300 sure but not $700. Lesson learned. In response to manager's comment, I'm confused as to how three months makes a difference vs four months...

Went to Alexander's Steakhouse again for a birthday, and it was a fabulous experience as usual! We loved how much the staff always takes those special days and turn it into special, memorable moments. Highly recommend: - octopus - lamb lollipops - unagi fried rice (although I really miss the Uni fried rice) - creamed spinach - 1919 root beer and cream drink Would not recommend the prime rib though. It's just a little tooooo chewy with tough tendons. We usually eat the filet mignon but we branched out. My advice is to stick with the filet mignon!! Can't go wrong at all

It was my first time at Alexander's Steakhouse, we were waiting for our table at a near by restaurant so decided to go to their bar to grab a drink. First impression, the host station look really nice and the fridge that show different cut of meats at the entrance immediately caught my attention. The restaurant ambiance is dark and the atmosphere feel luxurious. The bar area is separated from the dining room and their liquor shelf is massive. The bartender for the night was professional and seeing him making drinks lowkey feels like watching a performance, he also very attentive and chatty with customers. We got Bruce Lee-Chee, Espresso Martini, and one more drink but I forgot the name of it. They are all vodka-base cocktails, very well made, good taste, and pretty strong. My favorite of the night was the Bruce Lee-Chee, the lychee foam was phenomenal. Overall, it was a great first time visit at the bar for me, definitely need to make a comeback to try out more cocktails (and absolutely their steak) in the future .

Choosing Alexanders for our anniversary dinner made our day even more amazing! Ambiance is romantic and tables are spaced out, didnt feel rushed at any point. We loved that the staff overall was super welcoming and friendly. Hugo was extremely attentive and gave us complimentary items like the beet juice palette cleanser, cotton candy, prosecco, and cupcake. Loved everything we ordered and will definitely come back. The only thing we'd change was a having a bigger portion of and a smidge less cream for the lobster truffle mac n cheese, especially it being $26. It was pretty heavy/rich but thats also preference.

It was DS's birthday, so we decided to try the steakhouse based on all the hype. Parking in the neighborhood is free but good luck finding a spot since it was packed. Luckily, we scored one close by. Service was 5 out of 5. Everyone was friendly and not pretentious at all. The décor felt a bit old school and boring. I expected more. We started with the steak tartare, which looked better than it tasted. I'd give it a 4 out of 5 but wouldn't recommend it. I ordered filet mignon but it came medium well instead of medium, and I wasn't a fan of the white sauce smothered on it. I'd rate it 2 out of 5. Birthday DS had the porterhouse, and the other DS had the T-bone. For a steakhouse, I was surprised they consistently missed the mark on doneness with all three steaks. The porterhouse was mostly medium instead of medium rare as requested, with the part near the bone so rare it was impossible to cut. The T-bone had a similar issue, with about a third raw and impossible to eat. Both gave their steaks 3.5 out of 5. The sauces were just okay. For the birthday touch, they brought a birthday card and birthday cake for DS, which was a nice gesture. The highlight was dessert. Banana bombe was a solid 4 out of 5, but the raspberry dessert was a perfect 10 out of 5. They brought cotton candy with the bill which was a cute touch, maybe to sweeten the $500 dinner disappointment. We're glad we tried it but it didn't wow us like the steakhouse we had in Texas. So the quest continues.

One of my favorite steakhouses due to their exceptional food and service! Assorted breads with whipped butter: despite that this is complementary the variety and the high-quality of the breads and whipped butter are apparent. This is a great start to our dining experience, 5/5 stars! Amuse-bouche: this savory broth was a delicious palate cleanser which was provided prior to the array of appetizers that we've ordered. Short rib appetizer: the short rib was tender and had a sauce that added to the savory flavor notes, 5/5 stars. Popcorn crab: a light crispy batter with succulent crab. The dipping sauce was creamy and zesty, 4/5 stars. Split bone 19oz ribeye steak ($91): a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak with a char crust that went well with the prime fat marbling, 5/5 stars! Uni fried rice: creamy uni with tender rice that accentuates the protein flavors and textures, 5/5 stars! Truffle fries: a crunchy bite that is well-seasoned and kept us coming back for more, 5/5 stars. Mac & cheese: an elegant rendition due to the high-quality. The creamy cheese all over the soft pasta is another perfect side dish for the proteins, 5/5 stars. Cotton candy: a nice touch for a dessert as it was free and it hits the sweet spot after all of the savory dishes, 4/5 stars. Strawberry smash is disguised as a milkshake, but it is a short cake. More visually appealing than it tasted, but this was still interesting overall, 3.5/5 stars. The service was professional as they were attentive and made for a pleasurable experience.

Came here for my birthday. Excellent service and seating. We had a booth table that was on the corner and away from the busy walk way. The hamachi shots were delicious and fresh! I loved the presentation and the shot glasses made it easy to eat. We ordered the Yu Choy which was kind of like a chili bok Choy. It was just okay but our waitress recommended it. We chose the trio of steak and it was nice to compare the meats side by side. They gave us some complimentary champagne, cake and cotton candy. Cotton candy was a fun surprise to end the dinner and made my night!

I really enjoyed Alexander's! The service was top tier (as it should be), and the free bread was AMAZING. My favorite appetizer was the steak tartare -- super flavorful. The octopus and popcorn crab were just okay. I actually ended up loving the fish dishes more than the steak -- the "mero" sea bass and Ora King salmon were both so unique, and the flavors worked really well together. For the steak, we got the Ohmi Shiga A5. It was good, but honestly I'd probably go for a less fatty, more affordable cut next time. The complimentary cotton candy was really fun. Alexander's was a great experience, I'm looking forward to coming back next time!

From start to finish, we had a great experience. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, professional service. We started with wine and bread. But the star of the night was definitely the steak , which my husband ordered, and the mushroom risotto . Excellent quality and everything was prepared exactly as ordered. Of course, playful cotton candy treat at the end, which brought a smile to everyone at the table. Yes, it's a splurge--but every element of the night felt worth it. Perfect for special occasions. Highly recommend.

Always fun celebrating at Alexander's steakhouse. The service is impeccable- they go out of their way to make you feel special. The decor feels like you are sitting in some old wooden lodge. The wagyu beef just melts in your mouth and the fresh cotton candy at the end brings out the kid in you :)

Ordered the 20th anniversary special menu and I certainly have mixed feelings about it. For $245, you get 8 courses, with the star of the show being the 3oz wagyu confit potato. It was a fun menu, definitely a little out of my comfort zone, but it was enjoyable. My server was amazing, as she was funny, attentive, and incredibly helpful with her suggestions on drinks. At the end of the meal you get to enjoy a cotton candy of the flavor they are offering that day, which for me was blue raspberry. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did. Miyazaki Tataki: -Very good and flavorful Hamachi Shots: -Definitely not for me, mostly because of the type of sauce used. Gifu Tartare: -This was my first time trying tartare, and it wasn't bad, I'm just not used to it. The chip definitely helped to distract my mind lol. Wagyu Fried Rice: -Very flavorful and delicious 3oz Kagoshima: -My favorite course of them all. The steak was beautifully cooked and the potato was buttery and delicious. Yuzu Sorbet: -Super refreshing palate cleanser. yuzu flavor is strong Miso Soup: -Standard, nothing that particularly stands out Wagyu Fat Brownie: -arrived beautifully decorated, and every part of it was yummy. I enjoyed the richness of the chocolate. In all, I had a good experience. Next time I would stick to the main menu, rather than a special, but I still enjoyed my meal nonetheless.

The wait staff were super nice from the person taking order to those bringing out the food. Service speed could be better as we didn't get checked on by our server especially when we needed serving utensils (sharing food) and when we were about to wrap up it took a long time to get the check. Food wise most was good - recommend the hummus cauliflower with white pita as well as the grilled chicken. The a la carte lamb was spicy and not tender enough. For sides we got falafel and eggplant Romanian. The falafel was slightly dry. Eggplant was very tomato in flavor and served cold because it's like a dip. They gave either free mimosa or Housemade mint lemonade for the mother on Mother's Day which was very nice touch. Seating ambiance very nice too with warm woods and greenery elements

Though it was relatively simple to share.. Presentation of food was excellent but it was a little disappointing to have gnats flying onto the food here and there. I realize we were sitting on the patio but it may be helpful to have plants on the perimeter of the seating area that repels the insects or citronella candles during the summer months.

Savvy was an interesting choice for a cozy girls night in downtown!…read more What it "lacks" in the interior it definitely makes up for with the knowledge of its service staff. The interior is more dimly-lit, with large TVs and some comfy couches. This is an official spot to watch 49ers games so if you're a sports fan definitely note this one down. I liked that the service was helpful but not overbearing. Our waiter was able to recommend two different red wines for my friend and I really enjoyed the vinho verde I had. We ordered the charcuterie board to share between the two of us. This was a GREAT portion and came with a huge basket of sliced French bread. Perfect size to snack and graze on during the night. The bill came out to $53/pp incl. tax+tip for: 3 drinks total + 1 charcuterie board. It was definitely pricey in my opinion but I did really like my wine selection. Overall, great spot to hangout without a rushed vibe. Friendly service and easy eats.

My friends and I came here for a GNO and got to choose our own seating, so we picked the little lounge area with the sofa in the corner Our server let us try a few wines for free and we ended up ordering a bottle. We also ordered the fig, arugula, and prosciutto flatbread and it was so good. The cheese plate came with a Spanish chili oil and it was bomb. Our total came up to $133 for 3 people, which wasn't too bad. Our server was friendly and chill. The only issue was that we were never offered water, but everything else was great. I would definitely come back here
