As I don't live in the area anymore, I haven't been here in years. Colleagues wanted to meet here for dinner so we must. As soon as I arrive, hamachi's shots are a must! Service cannot be matched. The waiter and the waitstaff were so attentive. Our table were cleared accordingly. Glasses were always topped off. Food is sooo good. My ribeye was perfectly cooked. Dessert variety was perfect. Restaurant is nicely laid out and we are not right next to another table to enjoy our dinner. Warm and beautiful decor with a quiet elegance.

My wife and I recently chose Alexander's Steakhouse in Cupertino for a special celebration. We had been saving up for a memorable date night and wanted to try a steakhouse that was new to us. Over the years we've enjoyed high-end steakhouses across the country, including experiences in Chicago, New York City, Las Vegas, Seattle, San Francisco, and throughout the Bay Area, so we arrived with high expectations. To make the evening extra special, I hired a chauffeur to drive us to and from the restaurant since we planned to enjoy wine with dinner. We also brought a bottle of Justin from a recent trip to Paso Robles that we had been saving for the occasion. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The hosts warmly welcomed us and escorted us to our table. We started the evening with scallops and French Prosecco, both of which were excellent. Our server offered to decant our bottle until the main course arrived, and the service throughout the evening was polished, attentive, and exactly what you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The food was equally impressive. Both filet mignons were cooked perfectly rare with a beautiful char and seasoning. The potato purée and truffle mac and cheese were outstanding accompaniments, and everything paired wonderfully with our wine. As we finished dinner, the staff brought out a thoughtful celebratory treat before dessert. Unfortunately, this is where the evening took an unexpected turn. A party of five was seated at a nearby table along with two dogs. Shortly after being seated, the dogs became excited and began barking when staff approached the table. I am a dog lover myself, but I was genuinely surprised to see dogs allowed inside the main dining room of a luxury steakhouse. Alexander's has outdoor seating available, and I couldn't help but wonder why guests dining with dogs weren't seated there instead. While the barking wasn't constant, it changed the atmosphere of what had been an elegant and special evening. The experience felt out of place in a restaurant positioned as one of the premier fine dining destinations in the South Bay. Before leaving, I overheard another guest expressing similar concerns while I was in the restroom, so it was clear we weren't the only diners who felt this way. What made the situation particularly disappointing was the effort and expense we had put into making the evening memorable. Between the chauffeur, the special bottle of wine, and the anticipation of celebrating at a top-tier steakhouse, the dining room atmosphere matters just as much as the food and service. To be clear, the food was excellent and the staff delivered a truly five-star experience. However, fine dining is about the complete experience, and allowing dogs in the main dining room significantly detracted from ours. Prior to this visit, I would have ranked Alexander's slightly above other local favorites such as Fleming's and Morton's. After this experience, I'm not so sure. While I don't regret trying it, I'm also not certain we'll be returning.

We had an absolutely amazing time celebrating my birthday here. Both the service and the food were top-notch from start to finish! Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious, but the scallop was the absolute star of the night-- cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and bursting with flavor. We loved it so much that we actually ordered it twice!

I came here for lunch, and I thought it was excellent! I went for the three course meal, and it was the perfect amount of food. To start, I had the hamachi shooters, and it was a very generous portion. All of the flavors melded together well. For my main, I had the petit filet mignon, and it was cooked perfectly! It had the right amount of seasoning, and it was so succulent. It's how biting into a steak should taste. For dessert, I had the raspberry cubed. It was such an elegant dessert. Service was top notch, too! They even brought out a cotton candy to-go for my daughter. That was such a sweet gesture :)

Service was top tier an the food was solid! We got several different items: Prime rib- Cooked medium rare. It was so tender that you barely had to chew it. Paired with the horse radish and the au jus, it was the perfect combination for bringing out the maximum flavors of the meat. Caesar salad- Can never miss! Perfectly savory and really opens up your appetite when you're hungry for what's to come. Popcorn crab- I liked this dish the most. The crab was perfectly fried and was accompanied with an extremely creamy aioli that I can still taste. The batter was nice and light and the chunks of crab were huge and sweet. You don't even need a sauce you can just pop it in your mouth on its own and it'll still be delicious!

Dining at Alexander's was an exquisite experience and their name holds such high regards for a very special reason. The ambiance was intimate and perfect to celebrate my partner's career milestone, we couldn't have had a better dinner! The trio was spectacular and each bite was more delectable than the next, of course A5 wagyu will always have my heart though. My favorite sides were the truffle mac and cheese, spring veg crudité, and brussel sprouts! To end the night on the sweetest note, we were given their such fluffy and delicious grape cotton candy. A must visit for high quality cuisine and special occasions!

Alexander's Steakhouse is definitely one of those places that lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels upscale yet comfortable -- perfect for a special night out. We ordered a mix of steaks and sides, and everything was cooked to perfection. The quality of the meat is honestly on another level -- super tender, rich, and full of flavor. You can really tell they focus on premium cuts and attention to detail. Service was also top-notch. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and made great recommendations without being pushy. It's definitely on the pricier side, but for the overall experience -- food, ambiance, and service -- it feels worth it. If you're in the Bay Area and looking for a high-end steakhouse, this spot should absolutely be on your list.

We dined here in the private room for a corporate dinner. We had a prix fix menu, with a few options for each course to pick from. The staff was super friendly, and quick and organized witn service. The food was so good, from the passed apps to the meal, every single bite was excellent. The cotton candy at the end was random but fun.

Came here for our 8 year anniversary . The bread basket is always amazing , especially the petite croissants. Popcorn crab -- it's incredible. I thought it would be like crab cake with a bunch of ingredients inside but it's actual lumps of crab! Caesar salad -- pretty much flavorless unfortunately. There was no dressing other than the poached egg and some seaweed flakes. In talking to the staff, they might have forgotten the dressing. They did end up taking it off our bill. Chicken roulade --chicken breast stuffed with chicken thigh meat... great sauce , awesome presentation. My husband really enjoyed it. Ribeye steak -- perfect medium rare with Good charbroil flavor. Service was impeccable. I had told the hostess that it's our 8 yr anniversary and the waiter remembers and presented a complimentary dessert . Definitely an awesome place to celebrate a special occasion.

The Himachi shots alone will bring me back! Hubby and I had our anniversary dinner here and they did not disappoint. They were very attentive to detail and they truly made us feel special. We were given a Happy Anniversary card when we were seated. If you plan to come here you should already be prepared for a fine Dining experience. The budget conscious momma of 4 in me was a bit hesitant but hubby let me know that we deserved to treat ourselves and I hope to come back and do it again! What we ordered... We started off with cocktails. I forgot the name of mine but it was delicious and made me feel like I was on vacation. I probably asked for something fruity. Hubby got a dirty martini and a mule. Both were made great. The breadbasket had an assortment of all types of breads. The first is complimentary. It is very tempting to order another. I am a Himachi shot newbie. I have always heard about these shots and I finally got to try. They come in a pack of 6 and the presentation is lovely. I generally am not a fan of sushi, but these were a 10/10. A burts of flavor that melts in your melt. Bone in ribeye and Filet Minyon. Presentation 10/10. I love a beautiful dish with a flower. My filet was cooked to perfection, which to me is medium. We also ordered a side of Brussels sprouts. I think I have become a Brussels sprout snob...lol. These were good, not the best I had, but good. The portion was smaller than I expected. Desert...winner! Forgot the name, but whatever it is OMG...Yum If you like matcha and chocolate. Get this. Once we finished dinner our server brought us another treat and two glasses of complimentary champagne to celebrate our anniversary. As well as some watermelon cotton candy:-) Our bill was about $320 before tip for the two of us. Overall we had a wonderful time and were provided excellent service and delicious food.

We came here for a birthday celebration in November. The service is excellent but that's all I really have to say unfortunately. Everything is way overpriced. You can easily make a better steak at home. The food was good enough (but not when you consider the cost) but also severely upset my stomach and made for a terrible nights sleep. The restaurant is way too dark, you can barely see anything. In the pictures you can see what $700 will buy you (there was also 4 alcoholic beverages, a chicken dish, and a soda). Not worth it. $300 sure but not $700. Lesson learned. In response to manager's comment, I'm confused as to how three months makes a difference vs four months...

Went to Alexander's Steakhouse again for a birthday, and it was a fabulous experience as usual! We loved how much the staff always takes those special days and turn it into special, memorable moments. Highly recommend: - octopus - lamb lollipops - unagi fried rice (although I really miss the Uni fried rice) - creamed spinach - 1919 root beer and cream drink Would not recommend the prime rib though. It's just a little tooooo chewy with tough tendons. We usually eat the filet mignon but we branched out. My advice is to stick with the filet mignon!! Can't go wrong at all

    Espresso Martini & Bruce Lee-Chee

It was my first time at Alexander's Steakhouse, we were waiting for our table at a near by restaurant so decided to go to their bar to grab a drink. First impression, the host station look really nice and the fridge that show different cut of meats at the entrance immediately caught my attention. The restaurant ambiance is dark and the atmosphere feel luxurious. The bar area is separated from the dining room and their liquor shelf is massive. The bartender for the night was professional and seeing him making drinks lowkey feels like watching a performance, he also very attentive and chatty with customers. We got Bruce Lee-Chee, Espresso Martini, and one more drink but I forgot the name of it. They are all vodka-base cocktails, very well made, good taste, and pretty strong. My favorite of the night was the Bruce Lee-Chee, the lychee foam was phenomenal. Overall, it was a great first time visit at the bar for me, definitely need to make a comeback to try out more cocktails (and absolutely their steak) in the future .

I walked in and stood waiting to be seated while an employee, who appeared to be the owner or manager, continued talking with her kids instead of acknowledging customers. I don't mind waiting, but a simple "We'll be right with you" would have made all the difference. I decided to give them another chance. On a later visit, I spent a few hours working there and ordered drinks. When a friend joined me, he sat down and was completely ignored. No one came over to greet him or ask if he'd like anything. We eventually had to flag someone down just so he could place an order. After that, our server mentioned that Tuesdays were buy one, get one free on wine. I ordered my second glass, but it never arrived. When I asked another server about it, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. The irony is that I would have happily paid full price--I wasn't the one asking for a deal. They were the ones who brought up the promotion, then acted bothered when I politely asked about the wine that was never delivered. The final straw was our most recent visit. We were seated at a table by the staff, only to be told a few minutes later that we had to move because the tables were supposedly reserved for the party sitting behind us. We moved without making an issue of it, but no one ever ended up using those tables for the entire time we were there. It was frustrating to be relocated after being seated, especially when the explanation didn't match what actually happened. At this point, it's hard to view these experiences as isolated incidents. The common theme has been inattentive service and an attitude that makes customers feel like they're an inconvenience rather than guests. There are too many great wine bars that genuinely appreciate their customers for me to spend any more time or money here.

Cozy wine bar in downtown Mountain View, right next to the Caltrain Station. It has a warm wine and…read moresports bar vibe with Niners decor inside. My friends and I came here for a GNO and got to choose our own seating, so we picked the little lounge area with the sofa in the corner Our server let us try a few wines for free and we ended up ordering a bottle. We also ordered the fig, arugula, and prosciutto flatbread and it was so good. The cheese plate came with a Spanish chili oil and it was bomb. Our total came up to $133 for 3 people, which wasn't too bad. Our server was friendly and chill. The only issue was that we were never offered water, but everything else was great. I would definitely come back here

I came in with my friend on a Thursday evening and it wasn't too full. It's located at the end of…read morethe downtown so it's a nice place to grab a small bite and a drink before walking around, which is exactly what I did. I ordered the savvy spritz wine cooler and my friend ordered the cherry lavender rose. I loved that the spritz wasn't too artificial tasting since a lot of places tend to be. I wish it would've been a little stronger but I get that it's more of a fun cocktail wine that's meant to be light. The food here was insane. We ordered the Margherita flatbread and while it's simple the quality was great and the cheese was super good and had a nice pull. The vibe here is great it feels very safe having mostly had women patrons. The music was nice and definitely gave it a special vibe that you don't get just anywhere, there was a lot of Prince going on and Stevie Nicks ( I love). I'll definitely be back soon! Also the owner was super friendly and seemed like he was happy to be there.
