The wait staff were super nice from the person taking order to those bringing out the food. Service speed could be better as we didn't get checked on by our server especially when we needed serving utensils (sharing food) and when we were about to wrap up it took a long time to get the check. Food wise most was good - recommend the hummus cauliflower with white pita as well as the grilled chicken. The a la carte lamb was spicy and not tender enough. For sides we got falafel and eggplant Romanian. The falafel was slightly dry. Eggplant was very tomato in flavor and served cold because it's like a dip. A lot of good natural lighting and I like how places have handwashing stations outside of the bathrooms. For the food, everything we ordered tasted great. Had a great experience having a Rice Bowl with a generous portion of their succulent Chicken skewers which were cooked to perfection. It's a turmeric Basmati rice with mint and parsley and tomatoes with a side of Tahini sauce. Service was excellent with no complaints. Will definitely visit again . Creamy and dreamy is the hummus at Oren's Hummus! I've had this before on friends' luxe charcuterie boards but never eaten there til now. The food is delicious! In addition to the hummus (of course), I loved the falafel and the cumin rice inside the rice bowl where it has soaked up the tomatoes and spices. Yummmmmmo! It was a cold and rainy day, and they offered hot drinks as well, so I had an apple cider, which hit the spot. The service was sweet and friendly. The interior is organic, clean and fresh. Had a chance to try Orens Hummus shop recently and this was a nice experience. If you are into Mediterranean food, this is a great spot to try! The service here was nice and the ambiance in this location is also pretty nice. For food I got the chicken hummus which I enjoyed. This also came with soft fluffy pita which I loved. Lamb slightly on the tougher side, some rice pieces were hard and not chewable, but the appetizer sides and pita bread were very good. Shakshouka was hearty, flavorful and delicious. Chicken pita tasted fresh and delicious, but I thought the portion size was small for the price point. They add an additional $1 for the eggs in the Shakshouka (not listed on menu) and additional 3% "livable wage fee". I do wish they would just have the menu accurately reflect the prices/fees or just raise prices as needed to pay their employees because these "small" charges do add up to a not-so-small surprise in the end. Their suggested tip also starts at 18% so if you're unaware of the 3% additional fee you may tip 21% without realizing. Wow! Was pleasantly delighted with this place, especially the service and the dessert! Our server Zach was great and very attentive, he also looks like Mr.Beast which we joked around and complimented him. We recommend the bread pudding! Before I go into details about my experience with this restaurant, I'd like to let all readers know that this establishment goes out of their way to remove negative reviews. I'm not the only one who they've done this to, there are multiple other people I know personally who have experienced the same when rating Oren's Hummus. This practice should be looked into by Yelp, and anyone else who has experienced this type of silencing, should take steps to make others aware. Me and my fellow diners, all experienced multiple days of food poisoning symptoms after going to Oren's recently. They are either using expired products, or not following proper food safety guidelines. The food is bland and lacks any authentic flavor. There are flies in the restaurant, as many other reviewers have pointed out, which may also be a factor and contribute to the symptoms of food poisoning my group experienced. The restaurant is like a ghost town, where nobody greets you as you enter. The service is lacking, when you are finally acknowledged and seated. The servers all have attitude and treat you as if you are inconveniencing them by being there. You're better off eating at home, because at least then, you won't be disrespected or be a victim of foodborne illness due to unsanitary practices. LG staff knows everything we get weekly so this was refreshing but I missed my regular guy who always greets us at LG-blue eyed blonde guy.
