Without going into embarrassing detail, it had been (ahem) quite some time since the units were serviced and were definitely experiencing a decline in the effectiveness of our air conditioners. We weren't sure if we would need new units, or some kind of repair, but booked a cleaning/service with Prime Air first. I'm so glad we did. Kiril was polite and respectful and got right down to cleaning our mucky units and compressor. What a difference! Our A/C worked like new! We kept having to turn the A.C down because it was cooling so efficiently! About a year later, Prime Air reached out to offer a discount for a one year follow-up maintenance visit and we took them up on it. It was reassuring to know that our system was still in great shape. Our point of contact, Daniel, mentioned that they prioritize customers who spend more with them. We spent over $5,000 with the company, yet we felt our concerns were not treated as a priority. Daniel was often unresponsive, and we also had issues with the technicians' work. They installed a new dehumidifier, and we paid as soon as the installation was completed. However, the unit did not work properly for the next two months. On top of that, the company was very difficult to reach and slow to respond. This situation caused us to lose business. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company. If you do decide to use them, I strongly recommend making sure the equipment is working properly before making the final payment and do not speak with Daniel.

I mistakenly thought it was a worn out thermocouple and tried to replace it since I saw it done last time the problem arose. Unfortunately I was doped up on Benedryl to treat a bad head cold and caused a major short circuit of the controls while attempting the work. Having no idea of the extent of the damage and how to repair it and having bad luck with my previous contractor, I submitted inquiries to several contractor referral sites. Ben is on Yelp & Thumbtack and responded to me quickly. It was the weekend and the house was getting cold so I thought I should try him. He was very methodical and thorough in his work. It took several days while he was testing and replacing wires and testing the controls. While prepared to replace all the controls, he found that he only had to replace the 12 volt transformer and low water cutoff. He drained and cleaned out the boiler prior to installing the new cutoff. Apparently the boiler had been failing to start due to sediment from the dirty water on the water level probe of the low water cut off. He advised me how to periodically clean out the boiler to prevent the problem from recurring. Contrary advice I got from my prior company led to this problem. Unlike me he knew exactly what he was doing. His solutions followed an expert step by step diagnosis which lead to finding what needed to be replaced and not replacing more than was necessary and then checking all controls to make sure the boiler is operating properly and safely. He was also a pleasure to work with: friendly and respectful. I learned three major lessons from this experience: 1. Don't assume that the solution to a problem will be the same solution next time the same problem arises. The main original problem was not a worn out thermocouple but rather dirty water. Correlation is not causation. 2. A little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing and never try to do possibly hazardous work when you are not clear headed no matter how smart or brave you think you are, and 3. Always call Ben if you have another problem with the boiler even if it is just replacing a thermocouple! Thanks again Ben

Due to permit issues we had for a separate matter, I had to reschedule with Mr.Air multiple times. They also had to hold 4 mini split ACs and two condensers for months because of the rescheduling. We had to change the order a few times due to changing our minds on the location of the condenser as well as electrical work needed. At no point did they complain or demand we store the equipment or move up the date. We had all of the ACs installed in one day (9am to 8pm), and they provided plastic to cover furniture. They didn't slack and didn't complain about my father hovering over them (he loves to watch contractors so he could learn; which I'm sure isn't pleasing to any contractor).
