Ventured here today looking for some fresh fruits and vegetables…read more Was happy with the selection for today. Picked up some yummy fruits and veggies. Was excited to see seeded watermelons and seeded grapes! We also grabbed some jelly's and apple butter. The Apple Butter took me back to Sunday mornings breakfast at Grandmas. The bakery side had a variety of yummy treats from doughnuts, pies, cookies and cakes. Definitely grabbed a few for later. The Apple Pie ice cream my hunnie ordered was delicious. Tasted just like Apple Pie. Looking forward to our next adventure here already.

I finally got to stop by on my own to grab some of their banana pudding. It was amazing as their other products I've tried at my friend's. It wasn't too sweet yet had the perfect sweetness to fill your craving. The bread inside the pudding was soft. The pudding itself showcases the quality of their farm. I also grabbed a Dutch Apple Half which was perfect. The top is dressed with nuts and caramelized apples. The baker entrance is on the left had side. You make your way through the bakery full of donuts, pies, ice cream, cookies and an area full of swag. The counter to check out is near the front of the building at the exit door. So the customer foot traffic flows well. The exit door takes you to the front of the building near the concession counter. The concession counter has a variety of food options; I have yet to try. That's on the list for my next visit. I usually visit my friend for meals so I'll have to set a time to have food at the farm. Next is the market on the right side of the concession stand. The market has farm fresh vegetables and meats. There are dairy products such as cheese. You'll also find jam and pickled peppers. The section of Amish goods caught my eye; the medicine in particular. Customer service was excellent. I'm glad I finally got a chance to stop by the farm myself, and plan to stop by to try more items.

I was gearing up to make a cheesecake but also wanted to make a few things as meal prep for the week. It was interesting coming here on a Sunday, especially since there was a man outside the entrance giving a sermon. Made it inside and grabbed myself a cart. I was able to find a lot of what I needed, but I had to deal with people that were just not caring that they were ambling through the store and standing in front of areas where you need to grab an item. Then you have to be mindful of the ones that might mistakenly take your cart as you are grabbing items from the coolers. Then they ask you where Nutella is as if you work there. (I did say to him that I would check near the peanut butter, an aisle over, since I was just there and he ended up going the opposite way) Checking out was fairly simple. I went the self checkout route and prefer this. I was able to get through this part rather quickly. Made my way outside past the sermon again and was on my way.

I've never had a problem with my food or quality. Some times they're out of arugula-i wish it was more consistent. It's gotten better since I moved here 5 years ago. For awhile there were issues with the carts and one of the entrances being closed but last time I went there was no issues. I use the app but sometimes the deals can be tricky. There's lots of stores nearby. The hours are late and early so that's nice. The area doesn't seem the "nicest" but I've never had an issue.

Here are some descriptives I've come up with: sloppy; disorganized and lacking in essential items. This Aldi is a prime example of how the same chain can differ greatly depending on the surrounding areas socioeconomic status and general demographic. I hope you all see what I'm getting at. The produce was all over the place. There was no spinach. Boxes everywhere. People basically piling on top of each other just to get frozen fish/ veggies. The prices are marked higher than Aldis' is more "affluent" neighborhoods m, such as Alexandria, where berries and other items are at least $1 which is significant. I get a pineapple guacamole that usually 2.89, it was close to 4 bucks at this location. Odd, since this area has a rather low median house hold income and high rates of public assistance. Regardless of any of the factors mentioned--Aldi's as a company needs do stay on top of their stores. Some stores shouldn't be neglected because of where they are. This is clearly a huge staffing/training issue. I thought I was saving sometime coming here, turns out I wasted more time walking up and down the aisles looking for my normal Aldi finds. If this is the only Aldis' you've been to, my review may confuse you. Try driving out to Arlington or Alexandria and I guarantee it will all make sense.

I was not greeted, which has now become accepted by me unfortunately. I asked Kayla if I could have bags ,she noted once to indicate yes but never bagged any of my items and continued to move my items to the belt. I ended up having to bag all of my items myself. I requested Kayla to call a manager and she ignored my request. When I completed my purchase I saw a gentleman named James. I asked if he were a manager, he said yes, I introduced myself and explained what happened to Mr. James said he would talk to her about this issue. I said I was treated with so much disrespect and asked if I should email someone, Mr. James response was "you can if you don't think I am going to speak with her. I told you that I would handle it" Mr. James was very aggressive and did not exercise much concern about my issue. I have contacted corporate. I am awaiting a call from the District manager. Please do not shop at this store. They need to be held accountable fotlr their treatment of customers.
