International section is nonexistent compared to other shoppers. If you have to shop at shoppers drive to the Alexandria Virginia location.

The staff was very helpful in the seafood department. The store was very clean and the self check out wasn't crowded.

I was gearing up to make a cheesecake but also wanted to make a few things as meal prep for the week. It was interesting coming here on a Sunday, especially since there was a man outside the entrance giving a sermon. Made it inside and grabbed myself a cart. I was able to find a lot of what I needed, but I had to deal with people that were just not caring that they were ambling through the store and standing in front of areas where you need to grab an item. Then you have to be mindful of the ones that might mistakenly take your cart as you are grabbing items from the coolers. Then they ask you where Nutella is as if you work there. (I did say to him that I would check near the peanut butter, an aisle over, since I was just there and he ended up going the opposite way) Checking out was fairly simple. I went the self checkout route and prefer this. I was able to get through this part rather quickly. Made my way outside past the sermon again and was on my way.

I was going to go a little bit lower in the rating due to this. Now I was told about this place, I…read morewas an instant fan and told many about them to this day. BUT, my wife and I drove out there which is only a couple times a year, we stock up. I bought my usual case of chicken leg quarters and was SALTY!! We came from out G-burg, and when we got back, SLIM!!! them lil chicks look like something out a Chinese joint, they should have let them grow to maturity and I'm serious. You gotta take 2 maybe 2 1/2 to make one full quarter. What happen to the real ones they had before, because these things got me heated, and I couldn't take that ride back cuz I'm saved forreal, so I wasn't coming back with a smile, you feel me. Look a here, BK , Ion know what happen , who y'all trading with but this isn't right on any level. The price is still right but them immature chicks should have stayed where they were til they got grown. I'm being real nice with my review, because I wanted to drop that down to a 3 1/2. I am glad I found some turkey scrapple, y'all the only ones that got it, but do something but them birds ya hear me, don't do that or stay in that lane real talk.

However, stopping today (2/16/26) on this federal holiday was not painful at all. LOVE the drive thru option but actually prefer going in because of the deals and specialty items. Just intended to pick up some Angry Orchard hard cider (bottles not cans). After a semi-dry January ... just still trying to keep things a little lighter. I'm not a regular but I will ALWAYS recommend BK Miller's. Orderly and organized and can't brag enough about the prices and selection/variety. As a matter of fact, I found Blackberry Crown Royal today (Mon., 2/16/26)! I love the Peach Crown with pineapple juice. Not sure what to mix the Blackberry flavor with (maybe lemonade)? I'll try to update my review soon.

I'm a victim of "The grass is always greener syndrome." This means that I'll travel some where out…read moreof my neighborhood and see something great. Then complain about how I wish this (insert store or service) was closer to me. So when I go into a neighborhood store, I my expectations are very low. Just so I will not get disappointed and long to live somewhere else. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited this shoppers. I've never shopped here, but I did stop by to pay a parking ticket at the customer service desk before. I just came here on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. Its just an additional 5-10 minutes drive from my home, making it the second closest Shoppers. But, I'd gladly drive her every week for my grocery needs. I'm a semi-vegetarian, meaning that I, for various reasons, cut back on meat. But, I LOVE seafood. I can't stop eating it and would probably die if my body didn't get any for any period longer than a few days. That being said, its easy to see why I spent a good amount of time in the veggie section. I can honestly say that this Shoppers has everything my little veggie heart desired. There were those South American waxy-looking potatoes that I just learned about from a cooking show, all type of Asian veggies, stuff I haven't seen before but now I want to try out and of course, your typical selection of cucumbers, tomatoes and such. I was impressed by the selection of tofu. All types of favors and types. No tempah, which surprised me. The other Shoppers with hardly any vegetarian section even had that. Also there was a good selection of vegan cheeses and mock meats, too. The international aisle was massive. I was expecting a tiny corner like my neighborhood Shoppers. But oh no, this was a regular aisle. In the refrigerated section (actually by the veggies, but it seem to fit in this paragraph better), there was pickled Korean veggies - which I love, but usually cannot find. Their Asian selection was good, large bags of sushi rice and rice noodles, large bottles of fish sauce and rice vinegar and a good selection of spices, soups and mixes. There was even another vegetarian section nice sized bags of different flours (whole wheat, soy, rolled oats, etc), canned and boxed soups, rice, soy and almond milk, etc. Perfect! For this review, I just glanced over the other sections. The seafood looked good and fresh. I noted that jumbo shrimp was on sale and I cursed the fact that I was so broke. Also, I didn't notice that 'fishy' smell that usually comes from the seafood section. I have a cold though. The meat looked fresh, but I didn't really examine that. The bakery smelled heavenly and stocked a bunch of great stuff. And the floral section looked colorful and well stocked as well.

It's a ghetto place, so don't expect that much, to be honest... you can find a lot of things, but…read moreother costumers and location doesn't make it any good

The woman who checked us out was an absolute delight, warm, funny, and exactly what you hope for at a local farm stand. Unfortunately my experience in the herb section was the opposite. When I asked about strawberry plants and was told they didn't have any, I mentioned I was a first time gardener and asked if she could recommend something beginner friendly. Her response was essentially "just pick something, all you have to do is water them." When I explained again that I was new and looking for guidance, she told me she couldn't help me. As a first time gardener trying to learn, that kind of dismissiveness was discouraging. If it weren't for the lovely woman at checkout, I likely wouldn't return. I ended up going to Ed's Plant World in Brandywine where the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful to a beginner. The difference was night and day. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the place is really awesome in terms of selection and variety. The woman in the herb section may have just been having a bad day. It's absolutely worth checking out.
