If I could rate them lower I would. They are consistently rude to their customers and patrons. I experienced it firsthand on more than on occasion and have witnessed others being disrespected. This last time I said something nicely and they basically told me that they didn't want my business. Don't support them. They showed me today that our money is not needed!

    Porky's!

Old fashioned family owned supermarket located near Andrews Air Force Base in Clinton. Has a full service deli that serves up some mean subs - inexpensive too. My favorite is the Porky's. My Dad used to go to this place once a week for the Turkey Supreme. Also has beer/wine available just like they do in VA. Also offers a pretty extensive selection of meats in the butcher shop. Not too many of these businesses left unfortunately as Giant, Safeway, Bloom and Shoppers Food Warehouse are taking over the area. Nothing beats a family owned business when it comes to customer service because they know they have to try harder to survive. If you are in the area, stop by and check it out.

This is not capital city Mumbo. I don't know who it is but it doesn't taste like capital Mumbo at all. It's bbq sauce

I was gearing up to make a cheesecake but also wanted to make a few things as meal prep for the week. It was interesting coming here on a Sunday, especially since there was a man outside the entrance giving a sermon. Made it inside and grabbed myself a cart. I was able to find a lot of what I needed, but I had to deal with people that were just not caring that they were ambling through the store and standing in front of areas where you need to grab an item. Then you have to be mindful of the ones that might mistakenly take your cart as you are grabbing items from the coolers. Then they ask you where Nutella is as if you work there. (I did say to him that I would check near the peanut butter, an aisle over, since I was just there and he ended up going the opposite way) Checking out was fairly simple. I went the self checkout route and prefer this. I was able to get through this part rather quickly. Made my way outside past the sermon again and was on my way.

I've never had a problem with my food or quality. Some times they're out of arugula-i wish it was more consistent. It's gotten better since I moved here 5 years ago. For awhile there were issues with the carts and one of the entrances being closed but last time I went there was no issues. I use the app but sometimes the deals can be tricky. There's lots of stores nearby. The hours are late and early so that's nice. The area doesn't seem the "nicest" but I've never had an issue.

Ventured here today looking for some fresh fruits and vegetables…read more Was happy with the selection for today. Picked up some yummy fruits and veggies. Was excited to see seeded watermelons and seeded grapes! We also grabbed some jelly's and apple butter. The Apple Butter took me back to Sunday mornings breakfast at Grandmas. The bakery side had a variety of yummy treats from doughnuts, pies, cookies and cakes. Definitely grabbed a few for later. The Apple Pie ice cream my hunnie ordered was delicious. Tasted just like Apple Pie. Looking forward to our next adventure here already.

The woman who checked us out was an absolute delight, warm, funny, and exactly what you hope for at a local farm stand. Unfortunately my experience in the herb section was the opposite. When I asked about strawberry plants and was told they didn't have any, I mentioned I was a first time gardener and asked if she could recommend something beginner friendly. Her response was essentially "just pick something, all you have to do is water them." When I explained again that I was new and looking for guidance, she told me she couldn't help me. As a first time gardener trying to learn, that kind of dismissiveness was discouraging. If it weren't for the lovely woman at checkout, I likely wouldn't return. I ended up going to Ed's Plant World in Brandywine where the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful to a beginner. The difference was night and day. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the place is really awesome in terms of selection and variety. The woman in the herb section may have just been having a bad day. It's absolutely worth checking out.

Here are some descriptives I've come up with: sloppy; disorganized and lacking in essential items. This Aldi is a prime example of how the same chain can differ greatly depending on the surrounding areas socioeconomic status and general demographic. I hope you all see what I'm getting at. The produce was all over the place. There was no spinach. Boxes everywhere. People basically piling on top of each other just to get frozen fish/ veggies. The prices are marked higher than Aldis' is more "affluent" neighborhoods m, such as Alexandria, where berries and other items are at least $1 which is significant. I get a pineapple guacamole that usually 2.89, it was close to 4 bucks at this location. Odd, since this area has a rather low median house hold income and high rates of public assistance. Regardless of any of the factors mentioned--Aldi's as a company needs do stay on top of their stores. Some stores shouldn't be neglected because of where they are. This is clearly a huge staffing/training issue. I thought I was saving sometime coming here, turns out I wasted more time walking up and down the aisles looking for my normal Aldi finds. If this is the only Aldis' you've been to, my review may confuse you. Try driving out to Arlington or Alexandria and I guarantee it will all make sense.
