We recently ordered some food to go from Aldeez as I was craving jerk chicken. It was pretty good actually. Not the best I've had and a tiny bit dry, but overall it was something that I would get again. My boyfriend ended up getting the ox tail which were tender enough. Again, not the best we've ever had but decent enough to order from this place again.

I've been in this restaurant several times on several occasions and tonight I come in there's a young woman short light skin ponytail black shorts black jacket was very rude and unprofessional act like she's not trying to help me has a terrible attitude as she is talking to me when I'm asking for help and all she's doing is smiling in the men's face instead of working

Good food, good music, and to my complete surprise even the service was good which is a hard find at a Caribbean restaurant.

The food is always amazing!! Portions are also great! I made sure to try it at least 3 different times before the review. To be completely transparent - The service is normally a tad slower than most restaurants but.... I'm ok with that; because the food is always cooked to perfection. There are multiple TV's at the bar and in 1 part of the dining area that plays music or show's sports. Some nights there's a DJ that plays music as well. The ambiance is nice. Dim lights.

I came here with one of my buddies for an event, and was not disappointed at all. I had the erk, shrimp, and as long as you are ok with a little spicy, you will enjoy it. The DJ inside is playing some good beats reggae music mostly, but it's definitely a vibe. They also have an outdoor patio area with Jenga pool tables and other games. Highly recommend this place and I will be back to try the jerk chicken amongst many other items.

I hate bad reviews....they deserved it though. Service was slow and I mean super slow. The waitress didn't know a thing! Super unnerving. I asked what's on HH drink menu....she says ohhhh we have cranberry, orange juice....imagine the look in my face. I asked what kind of vodka they use for well drinks....she leaves and comes back with we have gin, vodka, tequila. I'm still stumped. She can't possibly be this dumb-like born that day! We ordered the wings as they were on the HH special. The lemon pepper were good. We were there for the oxtails though. This isn't something you make quickly so I figured they should be prepared -just make the plates. Took over an hour to get our food which came out in several stages. Now comes the check and this lil waitress is practically begging for a tip. I'm trying to figure out what she did over and beyond not knowing a damn thing. How rude! We. Won't. Be. Back. Keep driving and save yourself the frustration.

This place is a hidden gem! Bartender was will attentive and provided good service. Food was 10 out of ten well seasoned and has just the amount of flavor! Jamaican punch was good no doubt I'll be back!

Gambian jollof rice, sautéed spinach and curry goat. Really good!

I love this place, the staff and the patrons. Apparently they host a Kizomba class every 1st and 3rd Monday's so this was my introduction to the restaurant. Once class was over, a DJ played music for people to network and dance to, and the bar and kitchen opened up. Everyone was nice and the crowd was perfect. I ended up ordering a drink (cheap and strong) along with food (jollof rice, sautéed spinach and curry goat). Amazing. The seasonings were so good that I ended up ordering additional sides to go. I'll definitely be back. To the staff, please continue what you're doing. I look forward to attending more events. Great vibes. 4 stars because the place could use some TLC (upgrades).

Too messy of a meal, Over cooked ox tails and waitress that not attentive. I'll probably will not visit again unless at gun point. Good music!!!!!!!!

Oxtail plate, rice and peas, spinach, Mac and cheese

The Mac and cheese has no flavor, the cheese is only on top, the noodles aren't all the done, rice and peas, barely had peas, I like this restaurant but it clearly isn't the same anymore, bring back the old days

Stopped in for the first time while waiting on another spot to open. Nice atmosphere, good service, appetizers on point.

Just finished leftover jerk chicken, cabbage, and rice and beans. I'm darn near ready to go up there to get some more. 10 out of 10.

It directs to an article about this restaurant on D Magazine website. Not sure why the owner has not noticed and corrected that yet. If there is no website then Google should not show it at all. It is just confusing to customers. Second, their restaurant menu is not up to date. Majority of the items under "Les Grillades," "A La Braise," and "Sauces" were not available. We were told by the server that they used to make it in the past but not anymore. If not anymore, again, why the menu is not up to date? Why wasting customer's time? There is a picture of a full grilled chicken with coleslaw on Google. When asked for it, we were told it is a "Pepper Chicken" that is only available during the day time and we also have to order in advance. We didn't see this item on the menu and not sure how customers will know about this item and when to order. Pure carelessness from the owner! For the food, we ordered "Meat Pie," "Benachin," and "Afra/Dibi" chicken. Meat pie was good but little expensive in my opinion. Afra/Dibi chicken was good as well and also came up with a decent portion. What I didn't like about it is that it only came with a bunch of onions and nothing else. No sides at all which I thought was little bizarre specially for the price they are charging. I did not like Benachin! Small portion, expensive, and tasted just okay. It was just a boiled meat with some rice and vegetable curry. Vegetable curry was good but rest of the dish was just okay. I don't recommend this dish. Their customer service was iffy. We were not checked upon in a timely manner. There was a short hair African American lady and her customer service was good. There was another African American lady and she definitely needs training on her customer service and attitude. She would barely come to the table and hardly answer any questions or try to help. Rest of the time I saw her behind the counter spending time on her phone! This restaurant only has bottled water and they charge for it. I may or may not come back to this restaurant in the future.

The vibe was nice. You must make a reservation! This is what I enjoyed: Side of Lamb chops: 10/10 tender, meaty, nice smoky and sweet flavor, well seasoned. Side of Mac and cheese: 6/10 a bit dry, needs a bit more seasoning, if both of these things were not an issue it would be perfect. Oxtails and jollof rice: 10/10 oxtails were full of flavor and enjoyable. They could have been a bit more tender. Overall the flavor carried it to a perfect 10. The rice is seasoned and a bit smokey and cooked to the perfect doneness. Table bread: 9/10 puff puff style bread. They were fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Brought out first and provided with every meal. It had a sweet seasoning mix on it. The mix to me was more for after dinner instead of right before the meal. Dusse mimosa: 10/10 nice and stout. I prefer Dusse over Hennessy which is what was on the menu. Jerk chicken: 10/10 flavorful wings. Jerk seasoning was there and not too spicy. Cooked just right and not dry. Collard greens: 6/10 savory flavor. I am a collard greens specialist and I prefer a sweet and hot profile. Although these are just savory they were cooked to the correct tenderness. Candied yams: 10/10 get blend of cinnamon and sweet flavor. Cooked perfectly.

For an appetizer, I started with the oxtail spring roll. I will say it leaned more toward a pot roast flavor because of all the cabbage and carrots inside. It didn't quite taste like oxtail or have much of the Jamaican flavor I was expecting, aside from the little bit of gravy served with it. For our meals, my friend ordered the Poundo Fufu with Egusi Soup and Beef, and I got the Jollof Rice with Stew Beef. The jollof rice was definitely some of the best I've had, really flavorful and the meat was tender and well done. The owner, Will, was very friendly and gave us some great recommendations for other dishes to try next time. If I'm ever back in Dallas, I would definitely stop by again.

I forgot so about the card until someone asked me if I used food delivery companies. I loved them in the past but had some odd experiences. Nevertheless since I was in TX and not familiar with any of the local restaurants I decided to pick food the person I was with had never tried. After researching several options I landed on this place. I ended up ordering several items so I could get the person to try a variation and so I could get a good idea of their approach and how they prepare specific dishes. Especially in the DFW area. I'm American but have worked in parts of Africa in the 90s and lived in NY and the DC areas. I'm from CA and it took much longer for West African food products to make it west. I ordered over $200 worth of options. The pricing made me change my mind on 3 different occasions on separate days over 2 weeks. I then justified by thinking, that if the portions are fair I food freeze items and/or eat leftovers a few times with the spices marinating and getting better. Overall, I was very pleased. I've attached a photo of my receipt and food. I wish they had placed more of the spicy pepper paste being that in every note, I wrote spicy or extra spicy and there wasn't an option for condiments. Some of the pieces of meet in the dishes were sparse or just the fat. The pieces of goat in the curry, egusi, and okra could have been cooked longer but the flavor of all three dishes was delicious. The person who had the food for the first time enjoyed the spices but their expressions when asking questions related to each item, were hard to decipher. They don't have a mature palid and stick to what they like (bad food) for over 50 yrs. When I brought habaneros to cook with, they had no clue what they were, even though their mexican salsas said habanero was in it but the peppers on the bottles were not habaneros. The added rice with the dishes was very good even though I bought the jollof rice as well. Having both was smart. Again. I wish I had more African pepper paste The person I was with LOVED THE PLANTAINS.. T wasn't surprised. They were ripend and cooked to perfection. I had to hide them so when more food was being tasted the focus would be on the others. I was right about having leftovers and nothing went to waste.I even served the rice with fish dishes I prepared later in the week. Yes, I would choose this restaurant again!!! However, I think I'm going to drive there and order to see if the portions are the same and if I'm saving any money. Oh, I forgot to mention that the restaurant did and excellent job of packaging the food abs placed all bags and containers in a box. There was only one container that had saran wrap that leaked due to it being squashed and cracked. The way it was wrapped.. saved the dish!!!

I really wanted to try it since i saw multiple videos online with people trying it and it look so interesting and delicious. honestly, it was quite an experience. You take a small piece of the fufu and shape it into a ball and dip it into the egusi soup. trust me, your hands will get very dirty after eating it. The reason i'm giving this place a 3 stars is that the portions were on the smaller side and the meat that came in the egusi soup was really tough to chew through.
