Jerk chicken extra white rice for my bland friend
    Sarah F.

I have not lived in Dallas in a while. Base this review off of that knowledge. I have been to Aldeez several times in the past, at their old location. The new location has been several other businesses, over time, including a sushi spot and another lounge type set up, if I'm not mistaken. However, as the new home of Aldeez, I feel that it is lacking the old Je ne sais quoi of the old location. The new location is more modern, but seemingly empty of the Caribbean flare that we all so loved of the original location. All that being said, it took FOREVER for us to receive service, even though we were sitting at the bar and it was not very busy on a weekday. There was no hostess at the hostess stand, no bartender at the bar, and no staff in the place whatsoever from our initial interaction or lack there of. Unprofessional if you ask me! Which demoted this review by one star. All in all, however, the food was absolutely gob smacking. Cooked to perfection and served piping hot, which is what you want of any plate, let alone food from the diaspora. So thank you, Aldeez for not changing your recipes, expanding your menu, and keeping Dallas culturally sound through the years. Bravooooo!!! But please, for all things holy, hire more staff!!!

I've been in this restaurant several times on several occasions and tonight I come in there's a young woman short light skin ponytail black shorts black jacket was very rude and unprofessional act like she's not trying to help me has a terrible attitude as she is talking to me when I'm asking for help and all she's doing is smiling in the men's face instead of working

We recently ordered some food to go from Aldeez as I was craving jerk chicken. It was pretty good actually. Not the best I've had and a tiny bit dry, but overall it was something that I would get again. My boyfriend ended up getting the ox tail which were tender enough. Again, not the best we've ever had but decent enough to order from this place again.

Good food, good music, and to my complete surprise even the service was good which is a hard find at a Caribbean restaurant.

The food is always amazing!! Portions are also great! I made sure to try it at least 3 different times before the review. To be completely transparent - The service is normally a tad slower than most restaurants but.... I'm ok with that; because the food is always cooked to perfection. There are multiple TV's at the bar and in 1 part of the dining area that plays music or show's sports. Some nights there's a DJ that plays music as well. The ambiance is nice. Dim lights.

I came here with one of my buddies for an event, and was not disappointed at all. I had the erk, shrimp, and as long as you are ok with a little spicy, you will enjoy it. The DJ inside is playing some good beats reggae music mostly, but it's definitely a vibe. They also have an outdoor patio area with Jenga pool tables and other games. Highly recommend this place and I will be back to try the jerk chicken amongst many other items.

I hate bad reviews....they deserved it though. Service was slow and I mean super slow. The waitress didn't know a thing! Super unnerving. I asked what's on HH drink menu....she says ohhhh we have cranberry, orange juice....imagine the look in my face. I asked what kind of vodka they use for well drinks....she leaves and comes back with we have gin, vodka, tequila. I'm still stumped. She can't possibly be this dumb-like born that day! We ordered the wings as they were on the HH special. The lemon pepper were good. We were there for the oxtails though. This isn't something you make quickly so I figured they should be prepared -just make the plates. Took over an hour to get our food which came out in several stages. Now comes the check and this lil waitress is practically begging for a tip. I'm trying to figure out what she did over and beyond not knowing a damn thing. How rude! We. Won't. Be. Back. Keep driving and save yourself the frustration.

This place is a hidden gem! Bartender was will attentive and provided good service. Food was 10 out of ten well seasoned and has just the amount of flavor! Jamaican punch was good no doubt I'll be back!

Too messy of a meal, Over cooked ox tails and waitress that not attentive. I'll probably will not visit again unless at gun point. Good music!!!!!!!!

Gambian jollof rice, sautéed spinach and curry goat. Really good!

I love this place, the staff and the patrons. Apparently they host a Kizomba class every 1st and 3rd Monday's so this was my introduction to the restaurant. Once class was over, a DJ played music for people to network and dance to, and the bar and kitchen opened up. Everyone was nice and the crowd was perfect. I ended up ordering a drink (cheap and strong) along with food (jollof rice, sautéed spinach and curry goat). Amazing. The seasonings were so good that I ended up ordering additional sides to go. I'll definitely be back. To the staff, please continue what you're doing. I look forward to attending more events. Great vibes. 4 stars because the place could use some TLC (upgrades).

Oxtail plate, rice and peas, spinach, Mac and cheese

The Mac and cheese has no flavor, the cheese is only on top, the noodles aren't all the done, rice and peas, barely had peas, I like this restaurant but it clearly isn't the same anymore, bring back the old days

Stopped in for the first time while waiting on another spot to open. Nice atmosphere, good service, appetizers on point.

Just finished leftover jerk chicken, cabbage, and rice and beans. I'm darn near ready to go up there to get some more. 10 out of 10.

I lucked out and found this place; came there on a Monday night and it wasn't busy at all. Their smoking area was small, but laid out extremely well with leather chairs and a large TV screen. The humidor was also rather small, and several of the cigars were pricier than I've seen. Where this place takes the cake is the ambiance, service and whiskey selection. My hostess, Mary, was extremely attentive and provided good recommendations on the food and beverages. And regarding the whiskey - their selection was massive. Mary recommended a Texas bourban (Unbendt BiB) that was delicious. It was so good that I brought a bottle back to Chicago. Highly recommend this place for a cigar smoker looking for a good meal + cigar in a quiet/intimate environment.

We ended up order a variety of food and drinks. All of the food was great! From a timing perspective, we went on a Tuesday evening. On the plus side, if you're there to hang out -- slow service isn't as bad with a good cocktail. The staff were very polite and friendly...just a little overworked in my opinion.

Second floor is mostly seating and a couple bars. Third floor mostly bars and some seating. While waiting for my party to arrive I sat at the second floor bar, Heaven Hill, and ordered a couple cocktails. The bar tender, a pleasantly upbeat woman, educated me on the various food options as well as some of their favored cocktails. I had a raspberry beret (shoutout Prince) and a Larceny Paloma. The name was just calling me. While the beret was fruity and refreshing, the Paloma had a bite and kick that snuck up on you. I loved it!! As it's a mall of food there was no trying just one lol. We tried the dry rub brisket bar, chef chin's hibachi ramen, chilango's tacos, cotton and snow, and unlawful assembly brewing co. To finish the evening. Brisket with Mac and cheese; burria tacos; tonkotsu ramen; cookies and cream ice cream; and lastly a Moscow Mule to end the evening. The Mac and cheese from the brisket bar was terrible. Runny, and bland. But the brisket was amazing. Seasoned and tender and so moist!!! Tacos were exceptional. Ramen was awesome. Ice cream was ice cream. It wasn't bad, but not eye popping amazing.
