Albertsons store located at 18411 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Over time, I have noticed what appears to be an ongoing issue with individuals camping or loitering near the store entrance. On my visit today, I witnessed an individual who appeared to be under the influence walking through the bakery area and touching multiple donuts with their bare hands. A store manager walked by during this time but did not appear to intervene or address the situation. As a customer, this raised serious concerns about food safety, sanitation, and the overall shopping environment. Customers should be able to shop with confidence that exposed food products are being protected and that appropriate action is taken when health and safety concerns arise. I highly recommend taking your business to another location. read more

Worst experience over here. Associates do not know how to run coupons. They frustrate customers and get annoyed at them instead of being patient and empathetic of there situation. Store needs to ask corporate to fix machines as this is repeatedly happening and doesn't help with satisfaction at all. They trouble for simple returns and scrutinize the product and receipts. First I want to say I live in Phoenix Az. and not in San Francisco, I used to shop at Albertsons at least once a week spending about $285 a week, I shopped there for years, until one day my sister went with me and noticed that the prices that were being rung up were not the prices in the paper and on the signs in front of the product, the cashier said it will take it off at the end, after we put everything away she looked at the receipt and it did not take anything off at the end, I called the store and they told me to bring everything back so they could rescan it, I told them that was not possible, why can't I just bring in the receipt, and they said we need to see the product, so, I started shopping else where, and found out that I was buying pretty much the same thing it only cost me around $190, what a savings, I had always known Albertsons was high but not that high, so now I only go there when I need a few items since I live right down the street, but it seems every time I go there a few items turns in to more then a few and it cost me like $76, and that's only for like 2 little bags, but last week was the final straw, I checked the ads and down loaded the clips from there app., and knew it should cost me around $29, so I get every thing that I had clips for, and the amount came out to $74 and some change, I asked the cashier how this happened when I had the clips down loaded, and she just shrugged her shoulders and said don't know, I showed her my phone with the down loads and she said there was nothing she could do because she did not have a over ride key, and said she would need to call a manager, I said fine, she pointed to the line behind me which was very long about 8 people since she was the only line open, I said what??, so, she calls the manager and she comes over and looks at the receipt and asks me did I put in the right phone number and I said yes, and the cashier said this has been happening a lot, so, the manager walks away and comes back with the ad sheet, and, the man behind me asked if they could open another line, she said I will when I am done here, I told the man and everybody behind him I was sorry to be holding them up and they said it is not you who should be saying sorry, you are in the right, so, the manager asks me what was on sale that I bought, and I said everything I bought so she starts scanning bar codes off the paper and every thing, took her awhile and then the total was $62 she looked at me and said all that for $8.00, I knew she was wrong so instead of taking up more time there in line, I paid it with my EBT card knowing that there was only $65 on it, so then I went right to the customer service desk where she was and told her it still was not right, so she said she would re ring it there, and she did this time it came to $30, I said that's more like it, she ask me for the $30 and I said you never refunded me in the first place, she shook her head and said right, then after that she said ok, $30, I handed her my EBT card and she said it says there is nothing on it, I said did you not just refund the $62 back on it, and she tells me it could take up to 7 days to see the refund, so, I had to use the money I had to buy gas to buy food because they have no idea what's going on, if you shop there watch what is rung up, and I can say that you will find that a lot of the sale items come out at full price and that you will find they will charge you for items you have 1 of, but charge you for 2, and when you call them out on it they act like it is you not them, I will never step foot in that store again, they are rude, also when all this happened they never opened up another line, bet she said that she had no time too because of me, beware of that store read more

They should have added more than 4 self checkout lines, especially if you only open one cashier lane all day. Not the greatest store in the chain, but not the worst. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy though. Tried some cheesecake the other day and it was good once re-frozen. read more

For years I've been coming here and I'm often overcharged and every single time I'm ALWAYS overcharged and NEVER undercharged. And this has been going on for years and years! Last year they overcharged me $204.00 total! I got it all back but only because I watch them like a hawk! This cannot be a coincidence! It happened far too many times and it's always in their favor! Make sure you watch as you're being ringed up! Items that are on sale quite often are charged at regular price! Shop there a few times and see if I'm wrong! Why do I keep shopping there? Because it's right around the corner from my house and its convenient and I don't want to pay for an Uber to get to Fry's. It's ok because I watch them! Oh and today I was overcharged $5.00 for the buffalo turkey that was SUPPOSED to be on sale! read more

I agree with the vast review assessments below. The workers are very nice and really cant do anything about corporate not investing in updates to the physical location. All the vacuums, buffing machines and Clorox wipes in the world can't fix the dirty in this place. It just needs a remodel overhaul. If you must go here, buy only pre-packaged essentials and meat from the fresh deli section (excluding the chicken - don't buy any of the chicken in this place). Oh, last but not least, short of carrying Jenni-O brand ground turkey there is NOTHING organic or organic-like in the entire place. Bummer. Gotta go to F & E or Sprouts (and occasionally Target has some decent chemical free foods). read more

0 stars because of the bakery. I gave them one more chance and they failed again! I go to get sheet cakes for people at work having birthdays or celebrations but nobody there can ever write on the cake. They flat-out refuse to do it. They say oh I'll mess it up or that person is not here right now if you want to wait 15 minutes or whatever. So I end up having to spend more money to do it myself - discount the cake if they won't do it!! There have been times that I end up getting a pre-decorated smaller cake, like the their truffle cake. The last two times I got one of their those type of cakes it tasted disgusting! Bashas will now be getting ALL our cake business ... That's over $120 a month. The rest of the store - prices are higher than other grocery stores but the app sometimes has great deals and the cashiers are usually nice. read more

Albertson's prices are high. This isn't a place you want to do all your grocery shopping. That said, they do have some very good sales. You have to watch and see if it's worth the time to stop. I use to live by this one and would frequent it for last minute items I needed. Now, I stop for sale items that are priced well and because I'm in the area. The store has clean, wide aisles, and a fair selection. I've always like their deli salads. They have one of the best selections of salads and even have seasonal foods available around the holidays. read more

I'm so thankful that cashier Drew and his manager allowed me to buy two rolls of quarters. I called 3 grocery stores and they gave me excuses and said no. It is acts of kindness like this that separate businesses. It is so nice to be able to shop at a grocery store that trusts its customers and offers services like this . Entering the checkout line I scrupulously followed the 6 ft. separation circles intil the previous customer was at the front of the cashier station. When I unloaded my items onto the turntable, Cody--the cashier--stopped serving his customer and started mumbling something at me through his mask about 6 feet. I told him I was at least 12 feet from the other customer. He kept mumbling and I realized that he was either saying I couldn't be within 6 feet of the other customer's food, or my food couldn't be within 6 feet of the other customer's food. I told him that was ridiculous. He became angry and insisted that I comply or he would go get the manager. I said fine, go get the manager. I left my items on the turntable and stepped even further back. Without a word to his customer, Cody stormed off in search of his manager. After about 8 minutes--during which two other Albertson's employees stopped by and asked what was going on--Cody returned with manager Aaron. Aaron explained politely that ONLY ONE PERSON'S FOOD WAS ALLOWED ON THE TURNTABLE AT A TIME. That's--as I told the mentally and emotionally challenged Cody--is ridiculous. For that matter, why not require me to stay in my car with the doors locked until a turntable becomes available?? I bought some items at the Safeway at 7th and Bell Road earlier that morning, and they had no such silly rule. Look--if you or your employees are going to VOLUNTEER to be even more stupid than the airheads who created this whole "disease" panic, fine. I'll be happy to shop elsewhere. This is by far the worst Albertsons I've ever been too. Possible the roughest grocery store I've been to in the Phoenix area. Carts are hardly ever stocked so definitely grab one in the parking lot once you get there. Employees seem not to care much. This Albertsons also seems to have an issue with putting out expired/spoiled products. Don't shop here unless you're absolutely incapable of driving to literally any other grocery store. read more

Dont realize the screw up until i get home. Call the customer service line they say its a store problem. I talk to Mike the store manager and he says he has to look into it. To save my receipt and then next time i am in talk to him... ok. Why did the cashier not pay attention or say a single word to me other then my savings. Bad customer service. I wont shop there again. This is by far the grocery store I try to never go to. However, since its down the street, its an easy place to get a missing ingredient in a pinch. The store itself is very worn down and just has a feeling of dirty. It's in desperate need of a remodel. I've seen bugs, yes bugs, in the onion barrel a few times, which made me vow to never by produce here. Huge gross factor. Also, huge creep factor, don't go here after sundown! This is when all the tweaked out folks come out from their hidey holes and bum money from people. It's really quite scary. Got home took a look at my receipt and it said I had gotten 40$ cash back, which I did not! I hadn't even clocked for cash back. I contacted the store and it took 2 weeks for me to get me cash back! I had to call every other day. Finally I think they got tired of me called. Every time I go into this store the staff is So Rude! The management is rude, they make you feel, well make me feel uncomfortable even going in there. It's always something! Another time my daughter had her stuffed animal and they questioned me at the register if I was going to pay for it??? I was like ummm that's my daughters we came in with it, they then rolled there eyes and said huh okay. I live right next door and now I drive 10 miles to a completely different store front!!! This needs to start with being clear that I have been shopping at this particular Albertson's location for about 8 years. It is cleaner than any of the other local supermarkets, not fancy, but then again it's in a relatively low income neighborhood where you wouldn't expect to find an upscale supermarket. I've seen a lot of staff come and go, including a manager who should not have been a manager. This is probably the most expensive grocery store in North Phoenix, in some cases so much so that their high prices almost seem to be pushing the button to see how far they can go (example, one particular product I bought in one local store for $15 I saw down the street in Albertson's an hour later for $29). To be fair, as is true throughout the grocery business, you can also find some items discounted to surprisingly low levels. So, overall that doesn't make it a bad store to shop at. When the bare-bones discounter from the Northwest moved in a few miles away I started doing my weekly shopping there and have estimated that I get about $200 worth of groceries (compared to Albertsons) for each $100 I spend. But I have to shop carefully at that store ... most of their produce is wilted and rotting, their perishables are more often than not at or past their pull date, and you get what you expect in terms of customer service - in other words none. But saving 50% on the things I do buy there makes it worth driving several miles further than Albertsons. I do shop at Albertsons several times a week for things like ground beef, chicken, dairy products and fruits/vegetables, all of which I would never buy at the Northwestern warehouse store. Over the years they have had some outstanding employees. Most of them have lasted a few weeks to a few months. And they have had some of the worst I've ever seen in any store. It is apparent that the worst of them are bored, hate their jobs and operate with zero supervision. The butcher department, which used to be easily the friendliest place in the store when the young man was the primary clerk has turned into a place I dread going, I'm not sure I want to be around an angry butcher with a knife (j/k). The adjacent packaged deli department is hovered over by a woman who seems to move quickly but never seems to be doing anything other than avoiding any eye contact or 3' zone customer care. I saw one employee in that department violently push a stocking cart away and it hit an elderly customer. She didn't go get the cart nor did she apologize or ask of the customer was okay. And another young man in the meat department likes to pretend he is playing bumper cars with his restocking cart, pushing his way without any form of courtesy in front of customers making them have to jump out of his way. In fact that's the summary ... a few of the employees are rude, a few of them simply lack customer service skills, but the majority of them are oblivious to customers' very existence as they push by them or cut them off as if they weren't even there. The store needs a major infusion of courtesy and the manager needs to put the word out "be nice or get out". read more

I've been a customer of this store since 2006. However, after dealing with Helen and Julie in the deli, I'm never returning. Helen is not tolerant of those with ethnic backgrounds who are not of her ethnicity. This was relayed to Julie, her coworker, back to my family. In this day and age, racism has no place in the world. We all need to be tolerant of all ethnic backgrounds. I'll take my business and tell my friends to take their business to other stores who don't presume ignorance of ethnicities. Some of the least helpful, inconsiderate employees I've ever encountered in an otherwise upscale supermarket. I was sitting at an outdoor table when my brother in law sat down on another chair at the table, it tipped over.. the table had the ability to be secured to the ground but wasn't. The heavy table landed on him, I suffered a cut wrist and bruised elbow. MIKE "the "manager" (who declined to give his last name) had us fill out an incident report, but didn't offer to call for any medical assistance or offer an apology. My suggestion to make that table unavailable to others was ignored. There was no follow up call the next day to ask if we were okay. On the lighter complaint, while shopping I asked 2 checkout employees where I could find honey. They looked at each other and one said "next to the peanut butter". How helpful was that?! Of course everyone must know where the peanut butter is! A couple of "on sale" items rang up as full price. When I asked, she took her time going through the circular even after I said "the display is right there". She couldn't explain the receipt either. First of all I want to give FIVE STARS to the Pharmacy in Albertsons. The pharmacists and techs that work there are the best. Kim works so hard to get things done and work so well together to get it right and get it done. Thank you to all of you. You are all a blessing to us. The second part of this review is regarding Customer Service. About a year again there was a woman, I think Cassie, (but I could be wrong). She was always nasty to the customers and they had her there for five years. Everyone was complaining how rude she was. I even tried to tell her that her hair was braided nice or she looked good in a color she was wearing, but nothing helped. After my tenth complaint someone said she was fired. It was so nice to have fresh faces back there that actually liked their jobs. And then my husband walks in one day to buy something at the counter and there she was again. This time ruder than ever. She told my husband that he didn't need a receipt and there were no bags. He left upset because now he is carrying around this box that had no receipt and no bag. Since everyone knows us at the checkouts we were fine. But then, I met Lynne and Amy. They are the two nicest customer service employees that you have. They are so helpful, love their jobs and are willing to go above and beyond to make a customer happy. Please keep the other woman off the customer service side because she has no idea what customer service even is, and give Lynne and Amy a raise. Good work Lynne and Amy! Thank you. read more

Nice and clean store usually having an amazing special on meats in summer. Staff is friendly and helpful. They do have a Starbucks, bank, pharmacy, coinstar machine, money gram at the cust service counter, and a little floral center. Good for on the run last minute thoughts but I wouldn't buy an arrangement. Butcher is happy to cut the right steak for you if not in display and always can find a ham hock or 2. No reward card needed for the sales. read more
