the good news is this store location is in a really good spot. The location is really helpful and it makes it really easy when you're getting off work you can just stop in and pick up a lot of the things that you need to purchase for dinner or maybe for a snack for your kids if you're packing their lunch for the next day. the one thing I do not like about this location are the shopping carts. And....they even customize your greeting at the last minute. I was in and out in 5 minutes. They come in all shapes and sizes. 1/4 sheets cakes....1/2 sheet cakes.....round cakes.....mini round cakes with sprinkles on top....cup cakes....cookies.....They have your back. I know, I know, Your thinking how good can a cake from "Albertsons" taste? I went with the 1/4 sheet Chocolate cake with Chocolate fudge frosting. The moment I opened the box the smell of chocolate teased my senses. The scent of Pure chocolate. The cake was moist and delicious. Everyone was raving about how good the cake was. Someone asked if I baked it myself because it tasted like someone made it. And it was only $19.99. The candles....don't waste your time looking at them in the cake section. Go to the Birthday isle. It's really sad that they've spent money on a remodel and hiked up prices and profit margins but haven't hired enough people to run the store. Might as well demolish the 6 registers that are never being used. Regularly there are 10+ groups in line to check out at 2 registers. Grocery is supposed to be a part of the community but when you're employees are unhappy and you're understaffed it affects your customers as well. Remodel is not a good look when you're understaffed. I want to be very clear with this update: first and foremost, the workers there are still some of the nicest, most awesome people at a grocery store. But this update is centered around the fact that the management of this store has gone from very bad to downright horrible. This store was always dirtier and had worse upkeep than most Albertsons I've been to, but as you can see by the 3 pictures I've attached to this update, it's gotten to puke-inducing levels (dead flies left frozen on cheese -- yes, that fly is dead, moldy strawberries, and CONSTANTLY leaving expired food out on the floor -- this lettuce was just one example, picture was taken May 1st in the middle of the day). And the most annoying part by far, is how without fail, they will be out of at least one COMMON item (peanut butter, ham, lettuce, pretzels, etc.) every time I visit. I found it funny how when the pandemic started they told me that it was due to supply issues caused by the pandemic (weak excuse, since they had these problems before the pandemic too), and then I hop right on over to the very nice Ralphs down the street and guess what...they are fully stocked with nothing missing! Really hope they get some change in ownership/management ASAP because there's no excuse for running this store so poorly when they have the amazing workers they do and when they have just as much business as the hyper clean and well stocked Ralphs and Vons that are just 5 minutes down the street. read more

Poor experience at starbucks Starbucks so unprofessional !!!! My mother who is fluent in Spanish had the rudest barista here at the Starbucks. Constantly saying she couldn't understand her & rolling her eyes. We ordered 4 drinks and this bread who she didn't bother to take out of the wrap and warm up as we asked. She clearly asked for venti for all drinks and when we corrected her she literally threw away the cup all rude and sighing at the same time ! Never had such a poor experience at a Starbucks. Everyone should feel welcomed and baristas shouldn't be employeed if they are lazy to be working at a busy stop. This was older American lady, such a poor employee to make someone feel less for knowing such a popular language here in the U.S. Racist , rude , unprofessional. Never again here at this location !! My review is for my experience at the deli. Friday evening I stopped inside to check for the family meal, and I seen that the chicken looked fresh and there was plenty for a family meal deal, so that's what I ordered. I wasn't greeted, just looked at by a woman washing dishes and maybe two minutes later a guy walks over and takes my request, the 8 piece meal deal with potato salad. I am given my bag, continue shopping, and return home. After I'm undressed into pajamas, I go to feed my family and find that this idiot gave me all thighs and legs literally on purpose. I call and call the store and nobody answers. So I have to get dressed again and drive my 6$ per gallon car back to the store. The customer service department is always straight forward and helpful. The service leader takes me back to the deli and we ask the attendant, "what happened?!" He lies to both of us and plays like he is shocked as he says,"oh!..... that's all we have." I am pissed at this point because I work hard for my money and this guy tells me his name is Robert, doesn't take into consideration that I have a life an family and risk my life even driving to this store to conduct business and it is clear that we, as customers are not appreciated and this devil deli worker has been deceiving people for who knows how long because he seems so comfortable doing it. The food was indeed fresh and good. I usually go to the other Albertsons because most my other deli visits here haven't been the best. Also this store doesn't carry fresh cut fruits, they always seem to be old and do not hold past one day compared to the east orange and Santa Ana Albertsons. Robert should have told me that they didn't have the chicken when I ordered it, even though I clearly seen they had the 8 piece because I order them from time to time throughout my lifetime, so for him to try to deceive us is just unacceptable. It bothers me that people are so shameless and have no honor. BAKERY REVIEW I went into the store order a special occasion cake. The 1st gal that stated helping me was Sarah. Then another bakery gal named Gaby jumped in saying Sarah didn't know what she was talking about and took my cake order. The price of the cake was $65+. It seemed costly for a grocery store cake but I finally agreed seeing as it was a multi layered "specialty" cake. Well to my surprise I received a call the following day to say that the way Gaby had written up the cake order that they can't and don't make that type of cake. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that she is only available in the mornings. I decided to go into the store to find out what was going on cause now I'm pissed about the whole situation. The bakery gal that was originally going to take my order, Sarah was there so I explained about the call and that I was there to find out what in the hell was going on. She could see that I was pissed and she immediately let me know that there is ALWAYS a "manger" available and that she would be happy to help me get a cake order done. Buyer Beware!!!!! Check the expiration dates on everything you purchase. Especially in the Bakery Department and Service Deli! I sent my young niece in for some ready made mashed potatoes and it is clear that the "best before" date was altered. The product itself was watery and spoiled! Two weeks ago I purchased a cake from the bakery, got it home and it was stale. I've actually brought out of code items to the bakery & deli staff as a courtesy. This is my go-to grocery store as it is so close to my home. I have been shopping here regularly for about seven years now. In general the store is decent in terms of cleanliness and stocked items. I have never had any major issues aside from when the pandemic first hit and that was when every store was out of everything. In general the staff is professional and nice and a couple of the checkers are some of the most genuinely sweet people I have met. I have always felt safe at this store. The parking lot is easy to navigate and clean and well lit. I have never run into issues inside the store such as rotten or expired food or anything like that. My only real complaint about this location is the deli and meat departments. I'm not sure what it is but the workers in those two sections are some of the most unhappy people I have ever run across. Often times the workers do not even ask me what I need. Instead, they just walk over and stare at me until I speak. I have never had any sort of incident with anyone here and I am not someone who orders anything complicated so I don't think it's personal or against me, specifically. But nonetheless it is incredibly off-putting. It used to be just the butcher/meat department where this occurred but now it's the deli too. I try to be understanding that sometimes people just aren't in the mood. But it happens so often here and makes me so uncomfortable that I frequently pass and purchase pre-packaged meats even if it is not actually what I want to buy. I would rather not be made to feel that I am ruining someone's day by simply using the services they are there to provide. =\ All in all, this is a decent, safe and clean Albertsons. :) read more

I really wish someone in corporate would understand how many, many people, whether they realize it or not at the time, that by placing the fresh cut flowers by the checkout line those with allergies become physically ill. In the matter of 15 seconds of being forced to stand in line (especially like tonight when there was only 2 cashiers and upwards of 15 sets of paying customers, and a third checker/manager not seemingly interested in helping). I've battled allergies since a teenager, and get blinding headaches within moments of standing in the line. My mood tanks and my stomach starts to sour. This is about the pharmacy only - not the store. The folks in the grocery store have always been great! I've used this pharmacy for many years but in the last 24-18 months, it's been awful. They treat customers so poorly - they honestly seem to resent and sometimes even hate their customers and do whatever they can to make the process of getting prescriptions refilled each month an awful, awful experience. Some of the pharmacists over the years there have been amazing, but there has been an ugly turn and they have become rude, victim-blaming, and sometimes almost vile in their level of meanness in the things they they say. If you are sick and you need prescriptions, please know the staff in this pharmacy really, really, hate sick people. It's giant pain to switch pharmacies, but it's just awful there so I'm done - I'm making the switch. If you need a prescription, I would advise that you go literally anywhere else. Sadly, this past year my husband died. He was very sick throughout the year - in and out of the hospital. On one occasion when he was in the hospital in THE FREAKING ICU ON LIFE SUPPORT - he had some prescriptions that were on auto refill. If he's in the hospital - he doesn't need his prescriptions - they are medicating him there - and I was working full time and trying to be at the hospital as much as I could so I didn't go and pick up his regular prescriptions. She had to reverse the prescription and put the pills back in their stock. After he got out of the hospital I had to go pick up new prescriptions for him -- she read me the riot act because she had to restock the pills. UNACCEPTABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR. Not only did she did it that time but the next three times I went in to get prescriptions for him she continued her tirade about the horror she endured having to restock the pills. She did this in a very loud way that other customers could hear - it was humiliating and embarrassing. She is light completed - she is wraith thin - older and often wears a braid in her hair - I don't know her name but she is truly awful. She needs to be removed from all direct customer service because she treats customers in a vile manner. read more

A nice place to get some groceries, deli items and the usual. This store was of typical size, cleanliness and visual appeal. They had freindy staff too. I usually do not come to Albertsons until they have certain items on sale. However I am a fan of thier fried chicken and chicken wings. I picked up some wings, potatoes and french bread for the peeps at home. The place has a huge parking lot and is in an area with shopping galore, Tustin avenue. Even though I moved closer to another Albertsons, I still prefer to buy my groceries at this location. They layout is very standard and makes everything easy to find. They always have a number of specials going on- I swear that I spend at least $10-15 fewer dollars here than at other locations. Also, there's a sense of familiarity with the super friendly staff. Edna at the deli remembers my name and meat preferences! She always takes the time to chat with me about school and life. All of the cashiers are hospitable and usually always strike up conversation. This location also has a Starbucks- great way to entice the girlfriend to accompany me! Keep up the good work! read more

I have been shopping at Albertsons for years. Living in Anaheim, I tend to go to this Albertsons in Orange because the one closer to me isn't that great. Compared to the other one, this one is tends to have a few of the items I look for. Some might find it a little small, but I think the size is just right. It is easy to get in and out of, the store is a very clean, and it is well organized. Sometimes they have great deals, especially if one has a Preferred Savings Card The down side, lately it seems like I am spending the same amount of money or more and I feel like I am getting less. I don't know if it is due to prices going up in general due to the economy or what. But I still come to this Albertsons because its in my comfort zone. Until I find another grocery store to shop at, I will continue to shop here. read more

Can you put these umizoomi character sheet on the ice cream cake and dress it up with balloons, stars, and butterflies for my 2yr old boy? Yup we can! Simple transaction and I'm freaking out. I usually order at specialize bakeries so I wasn't expecting much but it turned out GREAT! Especially on a hot summer day the ice cream cake was tasty and perfect. Went through the check out line a bakers dozen long. One checker. An air head robot Who called for assistance 3 times in a language I sometimes speak myself when I'm dead asleep. Completely unintelligible. Help never came. I get up to the woman, finally, and I tell her the ice cream is discounted. She looks at me and asks 'bags?'. I had to answer to get her robot mind back into focus. I showed her the phone with the Albertsons app displayed. She said, "you have to find it". It already showed the ice cream on the face of the phone. She said "thats not it." I told her (with a long line of customers behind me), "look I have the app isn't that enough". I usually switch between this location and the one of Chapman Ave. I prefer going to the one on Chapman because the area is more spacious and the layout is better. I usually find everything I need there. However, in this location, the selection seems VERY limited, especially the produce section. The packed meat section is very disorganized and I couldn't find anything I needed. I would recommend going to the Chapman location if you want a bigger selection. read more

I have never been turned away while using my corporate card. Staci had questions about my purchase and asked for my ID. I had no issues giving her that. She then walked away with both to get a manager instead of calling a manager to us. They say they won't let me make any purchases without my ID matching my corporate card name. They explained it could be fraud. I have a business card, I'm wearing the uniform and I produced an ID. If it ended out being fraud it would be pretty easy to find me.
