Great friendly service. I frequent this market early mornings at least once a week, within 30 min of opening. The staff is always friendly. Everyone is busy stocking products but not to busy and stop and greet you. Some products may take a week or two to restock but overall great selection. Recently purchased Albertsons fresh made pico de gallo, not worth the buy. It's more onion than chilies and tomatoes. You're better off buying the fresh ingredients and making the salsa yourself. I went in on Christmas Day for just a few items. Albertsons was the only local store open. I asked the service deli clerk for 1 lb turkey and 1 lb white American. I asked the female clerk to clean the meat cutter as there was numerous shavings around it. She complied without hesitation. The male clerk, Eric V, assisted another customer and cut her ham on the cheese slicer!!!! I asked him if that was the cheese slicer he just cut the ham on and he replied they had been slow that day. Smh!!! He just cross- contaminated the cheese slicer that I was about to buy a pound of cheese to be cut on! I cancelled the cheese and informed the store manager, Tracie, who apologized but didn't seem too concerned. Now I remember why I avoid this particular store. read more

usually this place is fine but Anthony C on 10.25.21 at 11:44 am seemed to be having a bad day or maybe that's his normal self. His mask kept coming down while helping clients. The mask wasn't covering his nose and barely covering his mouth at times (feel free to look at the tape) I then gave him my number to discount my item and he didn't let me know it didn't go through. Let your clients know if you cant hear them correctly so you can input the correct # and give us our discount. I called customer service and they were able to give me credit for a future purchase. The whole experience with his mask and not giving me my discount was unsafe and annoying since I had to get on the phone with their customer line and be on hold while on lunch for 15 mins. This Albertsons is convenient and close to my work. It has everything except it doesn't have self check out registers. The cashiers are nice and friendly. The shelves are tidy and orderly manner. Sometimes, the lines are busy during lunch time. Plenty of parking available. read more

today I was baffled, as I go to pay for my things i was insinuated that I had extra items that needed to be scanned ( employee insisted I was stealing) I had a blue bag from 5 below that I had just purchased with receipt tied up when entering the store with my husband and toddler... never in my life have I felt like id have to deal with a bag lady telling me .... I'm shop lifting , as I'm having the conversation with her shaking upset , I also suffer from anxiety and ptsd so this was really hard for me and I have to deal with going to the store now let alone a lady claiming I have things in my bag . Yoli ( employee) you didn't do your job today I wasn't aware bag lady's are security . don't know what you actually do in person but customer service was not it at this establishment. it's sad , I also felt Stereotyped here because me and my husband are alternative I have pink hair and he has long hair I felt very uncomfortable shopping here . Albertson's chicken suck its always dry and burnt. Because they leave it under the food warmers all the time. What a waste of money.

Open: 6 am - 11 pm, 7 days a week Granted there is really no place to get a super quick drink or bite, (except subway and a stand alone starbucks counter in the front of store) this place is ideal for those who just want to get in and out of shopping. It is situated close to Best Buy, Office Depot, 99cents Store, and CVS so there are other browsing places for those in your party who don't care to join in the grocery chores. This Albertsons is overall clean, not as big as i am use too, but all necessities there. Love the self check out stands and Red Box at the end of the store. Aisle for individual checkouts seem smaller than I'd like. Staff overall friendly. Outside area seem a bit dirty at times from debris.....hey, you forgot your receipt, mister!..... The parking lot's road are not the best, certainly not all smooth. Just don't make a point to wear heels when running errands and it won't bother you. Parking is plenty and easy (especially if you are ok with walking a bit further), albeit can get crowded during weekends. Great thing is during weekends, usually Sunday, there is a van that comes around to pop the freshest popcorn for a cheap price! Yums to kettle, caramel, and cheese popcorns! Great way to bribe your kids to follow you...or your husband. read more

Yep, this market is so convenient for all the downtown employees that take the ride home in traffic, it's worth getting off the freeway to pick up a few things. It appears that this one has more stuff than the one where I live. It's always empty, which is nice because I expect to see more people like me getting off work & getting some items on their way home. The employees were friendly & helpful and its always clean. My only beef is w/all Albertson's, their prices are consistly steep, but when they have an item/certain brand name products on sale, its a good by & worth going in just for that reason. read more

The best tri-tip, the best deli and fresh fruit/vegetable selection plus the best service You can't go wrong at this location. Especially with the older employees always a pleasure to go there and get greeted by them. I usually stop there early in the morning on my way to work or early in the evening on my way home. I visited this store on Sep 6 just ran in to get a cake. No one was working bakery there was a line. This ignorant worker named Sergio came out and was like "I'm on lunch" tosses the cake on the counter moves on to next customer. He puts no sticker of price on cake. Everyone wanted writing on the cake but all he kept saying was "I'm on lunch" so I told him go take ur lunch we will find someone else. He's then says again "I'm on lunch, I can't help you what do you need" again I said then go take your lunch. The deli called the manager yoli. She came and she says "we are short of workers from 6-630pm when Sergio goes to lunch" we told her what happened she apologized gave us a discount. As paying for the cake she confronts Sergio near us and he starts arguing with us and the manager she continues to apologize to us for his behavior. As he's still talking a bunch or crap while yoli is telling him to leave and he wouldn't stop. Horrible guy. Once again, this Albertsons does not enforce the county mask mandate for their employees. This morning, the male worker in the bakery was handing raw dough and baked goods with his mask pulled all the way down to his chin. His mouth and nose were completely exposed. He worked like this the entire time I was waiting to be served in the deli, which was about 10 minutes. No supervisor or coworker said a thing. He blatantly did this in front of customers with no regard fir public health. Do not shop in their bakery! read more

This location is not exactly an ad for Albertson's. Ignore the fact that Montebello is full of boogie wannabes with 8th-grade educations, because that's not the store's fault. (No doubt the reason they don't have a self-serve lane is because the customers are too stupid to use it.) Even if you belong to their loyalty club, prices are still much higher than Ralph's. Every time I go in, the employees in the deli/bakery area are having a meeting in the middle of the section, and seem resentful that I'm walking around the area. Matter of fact, most of the employees generally seem resentful or disgusted. ALWAYS a line to check out, no matter how empty the store is. Unfortunately I recently had the worse experience shopping at this place. The black lady working at the "Delicatessen" area really needs to treat customers much nicer. Not only did I notice it but even my wife mentioned it afterward at how rude this lady treated me today. I definitely felt insulted and agitated after dealing with her. I've heard the quote "beggars can't be choosers" but I'm paying for my food so I'd expect to have the right to choose the pieces of chicken as I please. This lady just made it so difficult and uncomfortable to pick my own pieces of chicken with her irritated responses to my kind requests. I'm sure if she were in my shoes and I treated her the way she treated me she would have definitely called management because it was terrible. I don't what she might be going through or she's just prejudiced to my Hispanic race but it definitely ruined my experience and I an very surprised I did not make a big deal out of it because I left feeling like I should have spoken up about it. read more

On 2 recent shopping trips to the Montebello Albertsons, the employees seemed not to care how they handled my groceries or how they bagged them. On the first shopping trip, I had to ask/tell the cashier 2 times to not put the hot fried chicken in the shopping bag with the cold yogurts and salads. Also, the way she handled/bagged the groceries, I was surprised my loaf of bread was not smashed and am hoping the box of taco shells are not in pieces. On yesterday's shopping trip, the groceries were placed/tossed in 1 bag in no particular order or thought even though I brought in 2 bags. In the shopping bag, were 2 bags of salads on the bottom, 10 cups of yogurt tossed here and there mixed in with the other groceries, a clamshell of strawberries somewhere in the middle, pack of frozen burritos on top and the bananas "tossed" into the bag on top. If anyone else has similar experiences, I encourage you to let management know. Many customers spend time selecting their groceries and do not want to get home with crushed chips, smashed loaves of bread, broken eggs, bruised produce, household cleaners bagged with food, etc. Do employees not get trained on how to handle/bag groceries properly any more? read more

My coworkers & I come here pretty often to pick up lunch stuff or Starbucks as its close to work. Its a pretty clean store with lots of self check outs. Its not as big as other Albertson's though. The great thing is, the deli is near the entrance so one can pick up n go with hot food & the produce for salads is near by. Right near the entrance is the Starbucks island that usually has a short line if any. The service is on par with others stores as they are pretty friendly & quick at the cashiers. Parking is plenty as it is located in a bigger strip mall with Best Buy, Subway & Ross. Just before the Garfield exit onto the 60E. read more

this is for the curb side pick up. the customer service was not what I expected. I got to the parking lot and parked in the designated spots for pick up. the App said "currently unavailable" which happens often. so I just called the number thats listed on for the number to call when you are ready for pick up. The girl that answered seemed annoyed that I was there to pick up and she answered and said "sigh, ill be right out". She came out and asked for the pin. I said I didn't get a pin because I called. I didn't explain to her that the app wasn't working because she didn't even give me a chance. Instead she scolded me specifically saying "going forward you need the pin because we get in trouble if we don't have it". I apologized and told her "thank you for bringing my stuff I appreciate it, I'm sorry I don't have the pin. " she said "yea ok". and walked away. not one thank you, not one thank you for your business. I mean, Im the customer. Im sorry I inconvenienced you and didn't have the pin, and made you come out. If its such a bother to the workers to go out of their way to bring out groceries why even have curbside pick up. I didn't get the girls name but she had really short hair cut. Im sorry I bothered you and inconvenienced you, If you don't like your job or helping customers, find another job. if you were having a bad day, don't take it out on the customers. My favorite store! Service is good. The hot (just came out of the oven) jalapeño and blue berry bagels are delicious. Fresh donuts available in the morning. It's a very convenient store. read more

Not surprised to see the reviews below. I just moved to the area, and this location is most convenient for us. The store in itself is clean and pretty, but service is horrible. Too bad, it is super convenient and has a lot to offer. My last visit (since the boycott!) I waited in line with fellow shoppers for close to 20 minutes. They had the "10 item line" open and my line. Including the person the checker was helping, there were 5 people in line and no one ever came to open another line. The checker, to her credit, was calling help over the intercom and phoning somebody, but alas, no one came. In the three previous visits there was always something, items not bagged, lines, or mislabeled sale items. So that was it, the straw that broke the camel's back. Never again, and from the looks of it, many others are in the same boat. read more

This market is huge and is a market/drug store combo. You can seriously get everything you need in one stop. They have some good deals too.. even in the drug store department. Always clean and spacious. Never have to deal with people in my way even when it's really busy. I love that they have a self-check out... It's so fun scanning my own things -_- and it cuts down the wait at the cashiers tremendously. There's a Starbucks located inside, a Redbox... and all the other usual market amenities. What CAN'T you get here? And I don't understand why there are so many complaints about customer service :( There's always one or more employees that say 'Hello' to me when I visit... employees helping to ease the lines by directing people to the self-check out machines.. they even ask you if you need help taking your items out to your car! This is seriously the only market I've ever been in that has offered to help bring things out to my car... and the only market I can remember having employees that say 'Hello' and ask you about your day. Hmm.. maybe you need to visit the two Ralph's on Atlantic to fully understand how pleasant this Albertson's is compared to other markets in the area. read more

Check the food dates before you purchase. On three separate occasions I've noticed expired food. Today all the regular cut bacon by Smithfield was 10 days expired. There was also expired bags of Harvest Snap. I did let an employee know. read more

I go shopping at this store like once a week, and I like to go super early, by that I mean when the places just opens. Recently they changed their opening time from 6 am to 5 am at the request of the Starbucks inside. Almost all of the staff here is very friendly and nice, I always see this one checker bright and early in the mornings on the weekend, her name is Lupe, a very nice lady, and we always chat when I am making my purchase. She has also helped me a few times, by making sure my totals were correct, if sale items were priced right, and so on. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I work right next to an Albertson's market; but I like shop at this one to show my support for this location because I feel it has better employees here. read more

I like Albertson's in general, and this particular Albertson's in particular. My favorite food is their Tri Tip Roast Beef, it is magnificent. I buy a whole cooked roast at the deli section, and a fresh baked loaf of French bread and make several meals out of it. Ralph's deli section doesn't offer cooked in store roast beef, only cold cuts. Just about everything is slightly more expensive at Albertson's than Ralph's, but worth the difference. I like the service at the Montebello Albertson's, the staff at the deli counter is always pleasant, the clerks at check out are also very polite and efficient. The Albertson's on Commonwealth in Alhambra has the same products, but the cashiers aren't as friendly. I've called the manager, and mentioned it to several cashiers. I've had cashiers not acknowledge me at all. Not say hello, nor even look at me while they total up my purchases. No "thank you," no "did you find everything you were looking for." Never an offer to help me with my purchases to my vehicle. Nada. And this is not a one time happening, its a set pattern if rudeness. read more
