Well, I went at the beginning of "eggnog season," which is a term I believe they used on their out-going voice mail messages. At that time the place was easy to get In and out of... then, more toward Christmas, I paid them another visit. Ooh-wee! There were lines of cars coming in from both directions, people opting to walk from their homes and one guy came in by bicycle with a big backpack. All just wanting... all just craving... that delicious silky smooth season eggnog that they sell. They got a good thing going here.And it's one that I would hate to see.Go by the wayside... So if you get the chance to stop by and drop a few dollars in their till, no matter if it's for a quarter milk or eggnog or some snacks, I hope you do. On the phone, they are nothing but one hundred percent the most knowledgeable and polite people that you'll ever speak to in a customer service situation. Best chocolate milk I've had with the perfect mix of chocolate flavor, creaminess, and richness. Both the brown and white eggs are always so fresh and a good size. The eggnog here was what actually got me into it. I thought I didn't really enjoy eggnog until I heard about Broguiere's version of it. Decided to give it a try, and came back year after year for it. Its bottled milk is delicate, very creamy, and very fresh. I broke into a wide smile as I sipped this chill, refreshing beverage. [Important Note: Broguiere's Dairy (Montebello) only accepts cash or check. No card.] I visited Broguiere's Dairy (Montebello) on Thursday (around 12:20PM). It's busy and popular, but car flow is quick. Customer parking consists of street parking or the narrow strip besides the counters. There's no car service, so customers must exit their vehicle and approach the outside counters. Broguiere's Dairy (Montebello) ordering process appears intimidating; however, it's fairly simple. Just walk to the outside counter, and tell staff your order. Just look at the drinks in their glass fridge. Staff is very friendly. Staff brightly chimed, "Have a good day, Boss" as I left. If I had to nitpick, the hanging menu prices looked confusing and messy; its numbers appeared to be falling off. Also, the small menu plastered by the counter said "Prices as of October 2024," so I had no idea if it's up-to-date. Still, chatting with the staff helps clarify, but it would feel more welcoming if the menus were clearer. I purchased bottled strawberry milk (paper receipt said $5.79). I found joy in that cool, refreshing beverage. To my utter delight, the drink was not too sweet. Rather, I basked in its fresh strawberry flavor and creamy, fresh milk. This milk flowed like silk. It quickly quenched my thirst. After guzzling down the drink, I walked back to the counter and handed the empty bottle; I immediately received the $2 cash back. Concerning ambiance, Broguiere's Dairy (Montebello) has an iconic, Mom & Pop Store feel. It's also comfortable; the fresh air felt nice. Its large sign is charming. And its displayed milk truck is nice to gaze at. However, Broguiere's Dairy (Montebello) also resembles clean, old gas station with counters. At the very least, Broguiere's Dairy (Montebello) exudes a sense of antiquity with that classic worn down folksy atmosphere. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Broguiere's Dairy (Montebello). When you need milk of course you should buy local, so I did sort of since I live in Glendale and it was a Sunday I had to hurry and head over since they close early... I'm so happy this dairy is still here. Their milk is top tier. We always get chocolate milk all the time. I love that they have a no hassle bottle return policy. If you're driving thru, there's two lanes in both directions for convenience. Saw peeps buying cases of egg nog. I looked in my local grocery store (Sprouts and Ralphs) for Broguiere's but no luck (it's advertised on their website) so I had to make a visit to the real deal...and so glad I did. Broguiere's is my favorite brand of milk, and they're pretty exclusive to attain at the premium grocery stores. My sweet boyfriend took me to their dairy in Montebello to get some milk fresh from the source. There is a drive through or street parking in the area. They seem to run the business pretty old school and casual. We happened to come during the holidays while they had their seasonal Egg Nog flavor. It was only available in one size - the quart. I still love my Chocolate Milk, so I also got a pint of that to enjoy immediately. Yummm!! The fresh milk is so thick and decadent. Tastes like luxury. This is a little small store/stand on the side of the road that carries Broguiere's milk in the old fashioned glass bottles. It is on a hill and parking is very limited. However, it is worth the wait as the milk is very good and comes in regular, chocolate and strawberry. The best part is they have souvenir bottles. We came to get the bottle that has a picture of Smokey the bear on it. Now you could probably get this somewhere else, but we heard of it from here, so this is where we went. The drive was worth it we will be back again to see what is different. read more

This is the spot for your dairy needs. If you want a smooth chocolate milk this is a great place to get it. If your lactose then maybe not. They give your milk in these glass jars for consumption and yes it costs a little more for them, you can exchange your bottle each time you come in for a fresh one. This has been in Montebello for eons and I only went recently to try the chocolate milk and eggnog during one holiday time frame. It's a dairy drive through like in the 50's I believe and they sell like eggs and some snacks and it's nostalgic. At one point in time they were about to shutter but luckily there are thriving in this area. They used to pump the cows for milk here but no longer. Service is fairly quick if there aren't many cars on the driveway. It's an outside stand so there isn't any seating or tables to sit to partake your milky goodness. I am already buying Broguiere's Dairy milk , so why not go to the actual dairy . I will tell you that this is actually very cool. Not just for the great tasting milks ( Whole, 2%, Chocolate & Strawberry) but they have eggs too. Their chicken eggs are sold in a carton of 20. At a much cheaper price than the grocery stores. And Bigger (see pic for comparison) I've am a fan of farm fresh items. The staff were very courteous and fast. Answering any questions and no attitude. Given that I am big supporter of this Dairy.
