Make sure to check expiration dates if you're concerned about it

This is a no frills produce stand/old fashion store. There are limited store hours and produce. It is very "hole in the wall"- something you might have come across in a neighborhood convenience store except this is mainly produce and some shelf stable items. 1) Cash only. Unsure if they accept EBT. 2) No bags. They only have boxes. 3) No refunds/ exchanges - the sign was large that even I remembered it! Prices are decent. I was able to snag some watercress for only 50 cents a bunch -- this is easily double at regular produce stores. Overall I will come back again. For shelf stable items, I recommend you check the best sell/ expiration date.

I'm on my way to George's produce right now to pick up some cabbage and also to get some jalapenos this place is wonderful for low price deals they had Oreo cookies chocolate dip a box of 12 for $1.... yeah they may be a little out of date by like a month, but they're just as good and crispy as ever! God bless everyone that works and owns George's produce! They're wonderful people very kind, super friendly and helpful ... I absolutely love this place, and the people who work there... I highly recommend!

Fresh almonds these are great salted with lemon and chili flakes the insides are jelly like and so good for 1.00 a bag!

This is a small cash only produce place and their dollar bags of produce save the day most days you never know what you can find there but the owners are kind friendly and I have never seen someone bag groceries so quickly amazing service! The produce is on point if you want quick healthy raw produce. And it's ma and pa run I like it it's homely it's simple and good can get vegetables and bulk foods I normally can't afford here as well .This is the place to try high end rescued produce that I normally would only see for double to triple the price other places . It's small and reminds me of a corner store I like it it has a home town ambience .

It's the neighborhood hidden market gem! I have been coming here the last couple of weeks and this market always have something new to find. Every week there's some good deals like one week watermelon 2 for $1, a big bag of broccoli for $1 and even bell peppers for $1. You see where I'm getting at? Really low price produce at fairly good value and quality. Of course you might find some bad apples in the bunch of produce but just be careful. Other than that I don't mind at all. It's a nice small store near the corner of Lower Azusa and Peck Road. There's a good amount of parking in the front with additional parking in the back. I call this a hidden gem because you can really stretch your dollars here! Sometimes you can grab a huge bag of lettuce or spinach for a bucket and split amongst other family members because there's just so much! I've become more food conscious because I too have gotten groceries that just sat around and went bad from regular grocery stores. Here I can by small amounts at a low price and share the portions of I can. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Or stop by here first before you go to any other regular grocery store.

I've always driven by this small grocery store and I decided to try it out. This place always seems closed because they have odd hours such as they close pretty early. The exterior of the place looks run down and the interior of the place is no better. The parking situation might give you anxiety because there aren't many parking spots and the parking lot can be challenging to enter and exit. As you enter the store, this place has a dirty vibe to it. They claim that their items are organic, but looking at the food, it makes it feel like these are "organics" that aren't desired. They have a lot of deals like 1 dollar baggies filled with some sort of fruit or vegetable. However, if you look closely, the produce looks old and not fresh to the unsuspecting eyes. There are some produce that is good but it's like a treasure hunt. This place is also cash only with limited coin usage. In the end, There are much better stores that have better quality produce. Would hard pass on this place.

I've been coming here for years and this is the best store around here. They have super fresh produce! And there 1.00 deals are amazing.I tell everyone about this store .

Okay to start off YES there's some spoiled and expired food but they are extremely marked down for a reason. If it concerns you make sure to read the best by dates. Otherwise, George's Produce is a blessing to the community with extremely affordable prices on fruits, veggies, and pantry necessities. You can buy bags of food for just a dollar.

This place is FANTASTIC! Amazing prices! Very affordable especially during this whole Covid. This place is a life saver for many families and single parents who've lost their jobs, etc. Let's pray for a better 2021.

So I was so happy to find that they had quite a good variety. I was planning on making a thank you fruit box for my uncle myself, but the man running the store said he could put one together for me, and I saw a whole wall of decorative options. It took quite a bit of time, but he was meticulous, adding ribbons, stickers, tissue paper. It came out beautiful. I also got some lychee, and they said it was the juiciest ones they've had in the states! The store is kind of bare, but there are specialty candy to fill the space as well. Definitely would be back.

Super cool find of delicious and rare fruit!…read more I was a little skeptical as it seems a little new. But this place is so cool! Korean pears. Hawaiian Longon. Black watermelons. Red dragon fruits. Organic apples. Persimmons. Korean Muscat grapes. Kyoho grapes. All absolutely gorgeous! The price is not your typical Vons or Ralph's prices, as it should not be. If you're a fruit connosiuer, this is the place for you. If you trying to get a cheap deal for meh fruit, this isn't for you. They also have blue eggs and black truffle moon cake. I am so excited for this place and would love to come back. The worker is super friendly and explained everything to me. She let us try some samples of fruits and was overall so kind and sweet. I 100% recommend this place. Invest in your own health and stop buying fast food.

So happy that I was finally able to visit this little market!…read more FYI, there's no photos allowed inside (didn't realize until a bit too late, sorry!). There's 1 hour parking in front and coming mid day on a Wednesday, there was no crowd whatsoever. Yes, there's lots of things that you can find cheaper at any other market, but be smart about it, YOU'RE NOT HERE FOR THAT. You're here for the fancy imported stuff that you CANNOT get anywhere else. There were so many interesting Japanese sweets and snacks that I have NOT seen at Tokyo Central, Marukai, Mitsuwa, Seiwa Mart, or Nijiya and that is SAYING A LOT as a weeb who goes to them so, so often. Lots of chips, candies, cookies, etc that I have only seen here. There are LOTS of really fancy, kinda pricey, but super bougie things like $98 rice, $150 (Mother's Day special) crown Japanese melons, wagyu steak cuts, etc. You'd be hard pressed to find some of these things elsewhere without paying the import shipping prices yourself. Some highlights of what I got were: Sakura Matcha Pocky (entire pack of them, much lighter in flavor and slightly sweeter than their regular matcha flavor), Disney lollipops (only 79 cents for these, super cute packaging and nice flavors. PERFECT for my friends who work at Disney and can get almost everything else Disney that isn't from overseas), and spicy hot chips and spicy curry chips (I ate like 3 pieces of these and my dad inhaled the rest of it lol). For produce, I got the Golden Fuji Apples (around $8+), lightly sweet, great color, and very crisp, a $12 cantaloupe like melon (a worker there told me to leave it at room temp for 2-3 more days so it's the best for eating, very sweet, and less seeds & more fruit), and a pack of large Driscoll strawberries (very, very sweet and only slightly tart, great color). There definitely was a language barrier between me and the cashier, but she was super nice, friendly, and helpful. I also got some freebie snacks to try out! Thank you ! Definitely worth stopping by to check out or if you want to splurge on some of the high quality stuff. I'm gonna come back again and see if I can just buy those boxes of Disney lollipops lol...

The food appeared contaminated and unsafe, and after eating it, there were serious concerns about food poisoning. No family, especially one with children at home, should ever have to go through something like this. The sanitation conditions seemed horrifying. There were signs of insects and filth, and it felt as if unsanitary conditions existed in every corner of the business. A restaurant that handles food this way should not be allowed to continue operating without a full health inspection. What made this even worse was the staff's attitude. Instead of taking responsibility, they responded with hostility and intimidation. Most shocking of all, there were threats involving immigration status, including statements about cooperating with ICE and having customers deported. That kind of behavior is outrageous, abusive, and completely unacceptable. No business should ever try to silence or intimidate customers this way. This is not just bad service. This is a serious public health and safety concern. I strongly urge the health department and relevant authorities to investigate this business immediately. People deserve to know the truth before more customers, especially children, get sick.
