When I was trying to change over insurance and went to another agenncy I felt more confused than when I went. Going to ama the Agent, who I think was named Justin, walked me through the process, helped me track down the documents I needed and overall saved me from a meltdown. The last visit I had Briann, who not only was super friendly and helpful. But she was able to give me the paperwork I needed for my health cards and explain why the number I had wasn't working, when no one ese knew. So 10/10 customer service indeed! The only con is that, you can get your insurance cheaper and there is a membership needed but for me, in the end it is worth it!

I had stopped into my "local" AMA a week prior, and proceeded to walk straight out because the line was bonkers long (as it always is at the Gateway BLVD location). I also have been stuck in ridiculous line-ups pretty much every time I've gone into the West-end location on 170th Street in Terra Losa - so I didn't expect anything much better at this one... Low and behold - no line up and lots of employees! Hallelujah! This may just be the hidden gem of an AMA that I have been searching for! Oh, and the 2 young ladies working the registration desk were just lovely!

They kept delaying the time when they pick up my vehicle and were bullying me to leave my vehicle with my key, even though it was not a area that was safe. They were very aware that safety was an issue, but that did not matter to AMA Fees for licensing and incorporating it are substantially higher too. So what do you get long lineups expensive. I have my family members as well, but we all will be all leaving

Washrooms are clean and handicap/baby friendly, but space is tight in there if you have a stroller. There is concierge at this location since it's busy here. I find this place sells a good variety of travel gear and has a decent amount of sitting areas used by companions waiting for those members who are in the lineup. They are more efficient too, with a self serve kiosk for buying discounted movie passes & placing the travel maps/guides on display at front for easy access to help yourself to instead of waiting in line. Passport photos are guaranteed here- it was a bit of a hassle to return to get the money back, but the refund covered the difference of the retake photos' cost from the place who did the photo correctly (in the Canada place building which is more expensive anyway). I've usually found service here to be friendly despite being busy. Even just stopping by for some travel questions is helpful. There's no pressure to book through them & they can give you quotes on their prices for theme park admission tickets as well as tips on when price increases occur (they were actually only a few bucks more than the official theme park's website). I don't do my insurance through them or travel bookings, but I haven't been disappointed with services I've used yet (roadside assistance and locksmith). Overall, I'm pleased with this membership and find it to always be a better experience than going to a standard registry office.

I called in to rebook my road test and the lady told me to do it online which actually doesn't work. The email they provided don't even exist. Because they are always playing those annoying Just for Laffs skits on the big screen TVs behind the service counter on a constant loop. I've been coming here for a few years now and it's always the same! They have ShawOpen wifi now so at least you can surf the net while you're waiting. Or write a Yelp review... To avoid the lines from hell, the best time to come here is mid-afternoon on a weekday. I came in to renew two registrations and there was only one person ahead of me. The wait was probably around ten minutes even though the Just for Laffs made it seem like an hour. The transaction went by quickly but registration renewal is a pretty routine thing anyway. The staff are friendly enough but they all seem phased by the ravages of routine. In other words - they're bored. They're probably slightly desensitized to normal human interaction from the multitude of people stopping in without the correct paperwork who in turn throw a tantrum when they are refused service. Honestly, it's annoying to be turned away because you don't have a notarized letter from your stork filled out in triplicate by Brazil's ambassador to The Cayman Islands. And a current utility bill. It's always best to check online to see exactly what you need before standing in the Just for Laffs line. It saves you an ass-tonnage of heartache. They finally accept credit cards here now but you have to pay a 3% fee. It's best to bring cash or just use debit. Maybe they're using the 3% fee to pay for a wider cable subscription package? Doubt it.
