Moving time, so it was also high time for me to go get the address on my license changed. Plus, my bangs looked really weird in my photo last time. Easy to get to, and close by a pub and a convenience store if you need a snack. Originally, I stopped in at around 5 PM but it was full of folks coming in after work for a variety of services. It was way better to go back the next morning at 10 AM. Just one dude in front of me and a bunch of employees free to help, so I was in and out in probably less than 10 minutes. Got the license changed, fixed my hair in the mirror helpfully hung next to the camera, and got my smize on for my new drivers license. They even held onto my sunglasses after I left them there, and picked them up later in the day. Happy registry-ing at Argyll! read more

Very helpful and friendly. Reasonable business hours too! My paperwork for my OOP inspection was messed up by the dealership and the registry was very helpful and understanding. Still had to get a new certificate of inspection but no stress added on the part of the registry. read more

We went for changing our Ontario drivers licences to Alberta. One officer told that Alberta health card would be enough for address claim. Next day we went with our Alberta health cards as address claim. There was another officer and didn't accept health cards. And acted really rude. She never wanted to help us as newcomers. No politeness and misinformation together. Never go that place only waste of time. read more

Even though the Strathcona registry is right next to my place, I prefer coming to the Argyll registry. I registered my car, which was imported from the US and also got my Canadian license here. They're located in the busy intersection of 99th street and Argyll road (63rd Ave). They're reasonably busy, but even on a very busy day I've ended up waiting only 5 minutes. There are always 3-4 people there to serve, so it's great. A very convenient location, good service and in contrast with Strathcona registry that always seems to have internet problems or disinterested staff, this place does good, efficient service! read more

Bad service bad instructor rude instructor for drivers test he lied about the test I believe there is favoritism there

I understand that people sometimes have bad days, and I also understand that customer service jobs can be performed properly without exchanging pleasantries. That said, I could not understand the staggering rudeness of one of your staff, a "Loveleen" that is currently employed at the Argyll In and Out Registry in Edmonton. I had the unfortunate experience dealing with her when I came in on Friday, April 4, 2014 around 1100. I came to her with a simple enough request: switching my SK license for an AB one. After I told her this, she began our interaction by asking "What I was doing here?" In my confusion, I answered that I live and work in Edmonton. She rolled her eyes at me, and then said: "What are you doing in the country?" After providing her with a Canadian birth certificate, she asked for proof of my residency within Alberta. I asked if the name badge from Alberta Health Services I carry for work would be sufficient. She flatly says "No" and offers no other alternative. I was simply stunned at her lack of helpfulness. After a few seconds of silence, I ask if my pay stub would be okay. After getting an affirmative answer from her, I ask if I can pull it up either on my tablet or on her computer (because my tablet is quite small). She says "No" and once again offers no explanation or alternative. When I ask why I could not show her online, she AGAIN rolls her eyes at me and says disparagingly: "Pay stubs are mailed to your house, not found on line". I explained that Alberta Health Services no longer prints pay stubs, but I would be sure to bring a paper version in the next time. If she had wanted to clarify my citizenship status, she could simply have asked me if I was a citizen. And though I do not expect my interactions with customer service staff to be punctuated with smiles and jokes, I should be able to expect basic politeness and a degree of help. I will not be using Argyll In and Out Registry again. read more

I had the worst afternoon picking up a temporary pink slip and got lost, got the finger a few times, a bunch of one way streets, went down a few back alleys to get to our insurance company and instead of going to Sherwood Park where I normally get my license renewal I thought I'd stop at this place. Second last day of the month I walked right in, no line, awesome service. I so highly recommend this place, I'll always come back!! read more

The lineup was nonexistent. The service was fast. This was the shortest time it has ever taken to change addresses.

I'm not used to calling the registry office "quick" but that's exactly how I would describe this experience. The teller helped me renew my car registration and pay off a few speeding tickets very quickly. The entire process took me just a few minutes. read more

This is by far one of the best registry offices I have been to in Edmonton. The service is great I have never seen this place packed. Usually I can just walk in and be helped. Only a handful of times has there been a line up of one or two people. read more

Awful. I paid almost two hundred dollars for paperwork to be filed. They did the paper work wrong and I had to go back a month later to bring in the same paperwork I had already brought in. To fill out forms I had already filled out. And they had the nerve to tell me it was my fault. But I wasn't getting paid to ensure the paperwork was filled out correctly, they were. read more

I have had the worse experience with Argyll Registry. I ordered birth certificate for my new born, and did not get it in 2 weeks. I called the office to know that clerk did not put my apt. no on address, and hence, I'll have to wait for 30 days, and then it will be re-issued to me. The person was totally unapologetic for the mistake their office made. I told her that we are planning to travel aboard, and a month wait is too long for us. Since its their mistake, they should process another order, and she said that I'll have to pay again for their mistakes. Then she put me on hold to check my form, and after 3/4 minutes, she cut off the phone, I could hear her trying to cut off the phone. I just went to office right away, and spoke with the same lady. She failed to apologize for cutting my phone and making mistake, and said that since there is no supervisor on duty today, I'll have to call them next day (or She'll have supervisor call me). I came back home, and called again. I talked with a different person this time, and asked to speak to a supervisor. She mentioned that the first person, I've been talking on the phone, and talked in person is actually the supervisor on duty. This is the worst customer service experience I've ever got in my life, and was amazed, how supervisor on duty lied on my face. read more

I had a really bad experience with them. They wasted an entire day and six trips to and fro and yet at the end of the day I was told to come another day. I went to get a company incorporated today and was asked to come after an hour because a nuans search had to be done to see if the name I wanted was available. In an hours time I got a phone call and left for the registry thinking half an hour more and I will be through. After waiting in the queue patiently, my turn came and I was told by one of the ladies at the counter that she could not read my writing. I asked for an incorporation form to rewrite it but was told that they did not keep any forms.I found that strange and thanked my stars I had taken my form along even though over the phone they said I did not need to carry anything with me when I came in for incorporation. Anyway, I left the registry once again as I had no option, saying I would print them out at home and come back. I made it a point to call up before leaving home to let them know I had emailed the typed forms to them. I came back, waited patiently again in a line only to be told the forms and the email were all there but the computer was not downloading the forms. I was a bit frustrated by now. I went back home printed out the forms and came back again only to be informed that the name search had not been done correctly by them. They said they would do it again and I should come back after an hour. I came back by quarter to five and stood for half an hour in a queue. When my turn came I was told the registry closes at six and the forms would take a long time and that they would not be able to do it today. Anyone who has incorporated a company knows that the information would take no more than fifteen or twenty minutes to type and they still had forty minutes before closing time. This was so annoying because they could have called me up to prevent me making yet another futile trip. Worse there was not a single apology or any sense of remorse. I asked if I could take back my nuans report as I had already paid for it. I was told the new nuans report had not been completed. Can you belive that ! I wish the lady had said just once, "Im sorry for the inconvenience caused". To the contrary I was told in a very firm cold tone, that I need to make yet another trip and they just could not accommodate me. So much for taking customers for granted. Leave alone decent customer service, this is arrogance and bad attitude and "I do not care a damn ... you see the line up!" That was literally the message that was handed out to me. read more
