The pulled pork had zero flavor without the sauce which basically tasted like sugar with very small kick at the end. Cole slaw was overly sweet also. The squishy toasted bun was luckily not sweet. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. read more

Met with my family here for food and to watch football. Service and food were both outstanding. Bar-B-Q was excellent. I had the chopped brisket sandwich and it rivaled the best I've ever tasted in Tulsa. Well done, Albert G. Well done. read more

Hmmm.... It's got more going on than the Midtown Albert G's but it's not quite the same. What different: The BBQ nachos. You can't get this at the Midtown Location. It's a good twist and honestly good, but good in the sense that it's hard to mess up tortilla chips, queso and roasted meats. Whats the same: Mostly they have the same menu as Albert G's midtown. Don't forget the pickle bar, now with 25% more pickles to choose from. The good:BBQ Nachos. 3 sauces. Nice attention to detail. From a butcher knife handle on the doors, to a car bumper mounted on the wall, Albert G's downtown offers a good downtown vibe with plenty of TVs for the trendy sports watching crowd, with exposed brick exteriors/interiors and a pressed tin backspash behind the bar. Good wait staff so far. Did I mention the BBQ nachos?? The bad: For some reason I feel like the BBQ from midtown is tastier. It seems more fresh and more "BBQ" than the downtown location which seems to be "BBQ Fusion" or more "anything goes BBQ" Also, the drinks were kinda pricey for the quality. Dilly Deli has a fantastic, albeit pricey Bloody Mary for $9. Albert G's has the "bloody Uncle" which is really just a bloody mary, but without eh garnishes for around 7 bucks. Overall: Decent downtown addition. Hard to see people picking it over the Midtown location unless they were downtown already. read more

BBQ ~ Sports Bar Fusion, Heavenly Brisket in the Blue Dome A BBQ recommendation for business lunch. Yes, let's go. On first glance, Albert G's appears to be a welcoming and spacious sports bar in a carefully restored warehouse building (note the ceiling and sky light windows, really look up). The gracious Victoria greeted us with a sincere smile (like she enjoys her life and her job) and patiently answered our questions. Then our food arrived. WOW, impressively perfect sliced brisket. The cole slaw was even great (not swimming in the usual soupy slaw slush). The friend who recommended comes often and raved about his pulled pork. Our companion loved his rack of ribs (he's from Arkansas and claims he's an expert). Sauce was everywhere so I handed him the paper towel dispenser. Albert clearly knows how to rub and smoke the meat, manage people and create a setting to enjoy an excellent meal and/or drinks with friends. This would be a fun place to watch a game, too. I'll wager it's crowded and for all the right reasons. read more

Ordered a bunch of stuff for takeout. Fried okra was great. Mac and cheese was typical. Ribs were delicious. I'd skip the polish sausage. read more

We love the original Albert G's & thought we'd try this location since we were already downtown. The first time we came, service was soooo slow & they weren't even busy, but thought maybe they were just having an off day. About a week ago, we decided to try it again. We waited 17 min before I finally flagged down the hostess passing by & asked her to send us a server to at least get our drinks. 11 min later, our server finally came to take our order. It was almost 30 min before our food was served. The fried okra was definitely extra crispy just as ordered, but the tabouli tasted more like a parsley salad with bulgar wheat & no other seasoning or spices. The meat was to die for though! Our server never came back to our table until I got our attention & asked her to bring our check, a box & drinks to go. We left less than our usual tip & decided we won't return to this location again. read more

This place has a great vibe and a wonderfully stocked bar. Arrived in town late on a Sunday and this place was one of few open. I had the sliced brisket with a side salad and a side of the smoked sausage. The sides were good and the portions were generous. The brisket portion was very generous and the flavor was good the only issue was that it was very dry. It could be because we arrived late, but dry nonetheless. Lots of sauce and drinks helped a bit. I will try them again but will probably not have the brisket. read more

Delicious BBQ and great portions! Their spicy sauce is a great combination of heat and flavor. They have a pickle bar! Nice atmosphere inside and good service. read more

Our server Levi was enthusiastic and attentive the food as we have come to expect was filling fast to come out and had just the right amount of kick. As an added bonus their famous pickle bar is now self serve again! read more

Fantastic meal! My first time here. My daughter and I shared the sliced brisket, sweet potato waffle fries, fried okra, and macaroni and cheese - all my favorite things to have at a BBQ place. Service was outstanding. Within walking distance of several hotels in downtown Tulsa. Highly recommend! read more

Pretty dang good, ribs were really dang good, only down side was buns tasted stale. Well that and pepsi instead of coke :p ....

I've been here a few times and am pretty satisfied. I like the new Downtown location. So much more roomier than the Harvard one. Food is good. Not exceptional but good. The smoked turkey and pulled pork are probably my favorites. Friendly staff and good environment. read more

Delicious. The meat was perfect. The sauce was perfect. The sweet potato fries were to DIE for. Can't wait to eat here more often when I move to Tulsa! read more

My Friend Jenni and I stopped by this spot after flying in to Tulsa from San Francisco. We were starving... I read the reviews, and we love bbq! We were greeted by our server Bradley, whom was informative of the menu and directed us to the pickle bar right away since we mentioned we loved them. He introduced us to all the varies bbq sauces available as well. We ordered the smoked BBQ hot chicken wings, brisket. and a rib plate. We heard that the brisket wasn't the best but maybe they improved it. We we wrong. It was dry BUT the chicken wings made up for it along with the ribs and pickles! I work in hospitality so service is a big deal to me. That being said, Bradly did not disappoint! He came by several times ( maybe more..haha ) to make sure we were well taken care of. As he walked away the back of his Albert G's t-shirt says "smokin to please" and that he did. Great food, Great service. read more

I should start with the disclaimer that this review may not be fair because I'm a Texan and our standards for BBQ are different. My husband ordered the hot wings and they came out with a sauce so sweet that we thought they mistakenly brought him the sweet wings. After trying the sweet sauce and discovering that one is even sweeter (cloyingly sweet), he requested the sriracha/lemon pepper wings which were better. I got the chopped brisket dinner with a salad and steamed broccoli for my sides. The salad is a plain iceberg, tomato, grated cheddar salad; nothing special which is fine for a side salad. The broccoli was complete mush. There was nothing al dente or even edible about it. I picked up a piece and it wilted over. Being optimistic, I took a bite and it squished between my teeth, all flavor steamed out of it. Gross. The chopped brisket was fine. It certainly wasn't great or exceptional, but it had a bit of flavor and was decently moist. I tasted a few of the table sauces, but they were all too sweet. I know bbq sauce flavors are a regional thing, so maybe that how Oklahomans do BBQ sauce, but I'm not a fan. We also go a side order of ribs, which you can order individually for $1.99 a piece. They were edible but a bit tough. I like a rib that falls off the bone like melting butter and these didn't come close. Our service was great, however. Kyle greeted us at the door, seated us, and was our server. He was quick and courteous, kept my iced tea filled, and was great about changing out the too-sweet hot wings. The building is a great open space and has a nice clean feel to it. I probably wouldn't eat here again if I drove through town again, but it wasn't a horrible experience. read more

Delicious food! Brisket fabulously made, sauce is sweet and perfect, and the potato salad was amazing! Highly recommend!

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere and staff was very accommodating. I had the brisket, which was a little bit dry, but the overall quality and taste was exceptional. The fries were delicious, and the spices included really hit the spot. Thank you for a great experience! Will DEFINITELY be back!! read more

Albert G's is a great BBQ joint. I've always liked the food and atmosphere. The Route 66 Nachos and Smoked Idaho Potato are a favorite. Get them both with Chopped Brisket. The bonus to Albert G's is the Pickle Bar! Pace yourself, it's easy to get carried away. And if you're a bourbon sipper, sit at the bar and ask the bartender what's good. They won't steer you wrong. The only complaint with Albert G's is the last two times we've been there, the service has been underwhelming. But, in my opinion, a server who shows no excitement about his/her job is better than a server who won't leave you alone.... Am I right? read more

All the food here was super delicious, and the service was very quick. The brisket is top notch, pulled pork is a little dry. The atmosphere was good for a nice family lunch watching the game. Manager and server were both very attentive to any requests! Drinks were never empty read more

It's average BBQ that you can get all over Tulsa. Tastes similar to Rib Crib. I'll pass. I was hoping for some chef-like quality and unusual flavors and tastes. read more

Not a good place for BBQ. Tough meat like an old boot. Staff wasn't friendly and very put off when I asked for some extra sauce. Fries were put down twice which I hate, overcooked and greasy. This place should change their name to "The Ultimate Greasy Spoon". read more

I love the newer location for parking. But for a better smoked taste I like the Harvard location. Older smoker... better taste. But both are really tasty. Fall off the bone good.. read more

Albert G's BBQ - It's quitting time.. - Barbeque Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

This place has great food, big portions and the downtown location has a chill vibe. It's also reasonably priced. It's not the best BBQ I've ever had, but it's pretty close. read more

This is a nice place with a laid back attitude. The 'napkins' are paper towel rolls and the seasoning and condiments are arranged in wooden Pepsi soda bottle carriers and food is served in paper lined metal pie pans. There are big screen TVs set up around the place so you won't miss the game no matter where you are sat. This place has a great bar area. One thing this place is known for is its whiskey selection. To add to that, this place hosts a Bourbon Club once a month where they feature a bourbon from a specific distiller. The participants take part in a tasting of the featured brands. This is one of my favorite places to eat at before attending baseball and soccer games downtown. That was why I stopped in tonight. The polish sausage sandwich was excellent and the fries I ordered to go with it weren't bad either. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for good barbecue in downtown Tulsa. read more

Nice Beer selection, Pickle & Pepper Bar is a nice perk, BBQ was good, not great, Bar tender was a nice enough guy, I'd visit again.

Service was terrible. We love this bbq but cannot look over how bad the service is. Waited 15 minutes on Sunday before we saw an employee and then he was unable to figure out how to serve anyone. We were not the only group to walk out. They were not busy so cannot use COVID as an issue. Clean this up or you will be history. read more

Solid barbecue in an outstanding readapted warehouse space in downtown Tulsa. Looking to impress out of town guests with a sophisticated atmosphere, Albert G's downtown will do nicely. read more

I eat there fairly regularly and always enjoy Shannon, the bar manager. However, the other bartenders are less engaging. The turkey sandwiches are delicious and the G Louise Salad is to die for! Huge and fresh! read more

3 1/2, Brisket was good. Standard bbq joint, I would go back again but would try somewhere else just to do something different.

Awesome BBQ and great whiskey selection. Highly recommend the smoked wings. Kyle the bartender was great!

Okay, so we had a couple ho-hum experiences here and one of them led to us speaking with a manager. The manager was awesome the night we spoke with him. He resolved the situation quickly and apologetically, and since then this place has really ramped it up in quality. Very happy with the improvement and we will continue to visit regularly for their delicious BBQ! read more

Visited on a concert and UFC night. They are not ready to fill their tables and serve a full house. Kitchen was backed up at least 45 minutes. Brisket dry, hot links good but chopped up like my mama was cutting them for me when I was 5, and smoked turkey was great! Okra was a great side! With the difficulties that they were having one would have hoped that the management would have checked on folks at their tables...they hung their waitstaff out to dry. I'll visit again in a few months to see if they have improved. read more

Craving some superior BBQ before wrapping up a 4 day visit to Tulsa. Had some very good brisket and fried okra. But the big surprise was the best wings I've ever had in 30+ years. Ordere 'Roughneck' sauce, unusually smoked then crisped and coated with a perfectly tasty yet hot siracha & lemon sauce WOW! Accompanied by a local super smooth double IPA. Too bad had to head to the airport. Will return no doubt. Place is fantastic. Want to see the 'big ass fans' spinning up near the ceiling. read more

My wife and I were in town from OKC and just randomly found this bbq restaurant. The lady who answered the phone at the first location was very nice and answered all our questions. We decided the second location was closer so we drove there. My wife is a huge BBQ fan. She ordered the chopped brisket sandwich with fries. She said that it was one of the most tender and flavorful brisket sandwiches she has eaten. I had a baked potato with a side of fried okra and it was great. We would certainly recommend this place to our friends. read more

Gavin totally came through and delivered over the top service. Good managers know the business, great manager know the customers. The food is great, please try the wings, sauce on the side, absolutely the best in tulsa. Will absolutely go back just because of the service by Gavin and Shannon,. You guys ROCK. Thanks,.. read more

Brisket could not have been more dry. I should have known better when the server didn't know the difference between moist and lean cuts. BBQ sauce was good, but good bbq shouldn't need sauce to make it edible. read more

Out of towner. Came to Albert G's to sample Tulsa bbq and watch the game. Great brisket and great bar service. Pickle bar is great too.
