This review is specific to how easy Albert G's is to work with for a large group. We often host a monthly book club in their private room. They're extremely accommodating, and the room reservation is free with no required reserve to be met. The private space holds about 30-35 people, and the service is always very good. The food is solid and consistent. The only downside is that parking can be a problem in the area, especially for people who are uncomfortable with walking longer distances or paying to park.

Albert G's has some of the best BBQ in the city! In the heart of Tulsa, OK, Albert G's is a big space with tables, Booths and a bar with high ceilings but a bit dark. The service is great as the Hostess, greet and sit you with a smile. The servers are very knowledgeable and check with you often but not enough to be intrusive. The highlight is of course the food where the dry rub ribs are the highlight. The ribs are tasty, tender and practically fall off the bone. In addition, the Beef brisket is as tender and can be cut solely with a fork. The potato salad has a firm texture with a bit of sweet tang. A must eat restaurant while visiting Tulsa or residing there. Great service, exceptional food and very reasonable prices! Well done Albert G's!

A great meal at a reasonable price! I came in on a weekday at dinner time and had immediate seating. Never having been here before, I took the servers advice and have the Rib platter. Generous portion of five St. Louis style ribs. 3 different sauces at the table, but the rub was good alone. Ambience was casual with soft music playing. Multiple televisions throughout with sporting events on. Think of a more upscale Rib Crib. Parking maybe a pain due to the downtown location, I walked from a nearby hotel so it wasn't an issue.

I can't rave enough about this place!!! Let's start with LEVI at the bar. If you are looking for a TRUE cocktail (muddled, etc) he is your guy! Levi is the MOST professional, polite AND efficient bartender I have EVER experienced. Food was ABSOLUTELY delicious. We had 12 smoked wings (naked) with a side of their signature wing sauce and home made ranch . Can't wait to visit again! Don't forget to ask for LEVI!!!

This place was pretty good but not my favorite bbq place. Some of my smoked brisket was dry and falling apart. Sausage was good. Their mac n cheese was disappointing - nothing special. I liked the cole slaw and the prices (compared to CA). Service was fast and friendly though.

Our 15th 'cue stop in Oklahoma, and the 398th nationwide, brought us to the Downtown location. On street parking proved easy at one in the afternoon, and the building was an architectural gem. Be sure and admire the ceiling here! The food had its ups and downs. We ordered a dozen wings, queso and chips, and ribs with okra and broccoli. Two refillable iced teas brought the tab to $55.34 plus a nice tip for good service. The ribs, with their rub leaning to the peppery side, were very good, and needed no help from either of the two sauces on the table. The broccoli was broccoli, but the fried okra was very well done and thoroughly enjoyed. We also liked the brisket queso, and intend to play around with this dish when we get home. Alas, the wings were dry and curiously lacking in flavor; it took generous dollops of the ranch dressing to redeem them. So, a mixed bag, with the ribs and okra solid choices-- and don't forget to pay a visit to the well organized pickle bar!

The ribs were excellent a little on the salty side but the bite and chew was excellent. The Coleslaw was a little boring. The Brisket Queso was really well done. The atmosphere was excellent great decor. The service was lacking our server seemed distracted and indifferent the entire time.

Great service! Food was decent! Ribs were excellent! I didn't care for the sides, but others enjoyed it. The smoked turkey was very flavorful! My favorite was the apple pudding bread! ( I think that's what it was called). You can taste the fresh apples! You can feel the love in that dessert and I can't wait to come back for more of it!

Loaded baked potato with pulled pork

I hesitated to patronize this barbecue joint because of reviews about dry brisket, but went anyway because it was the only barbecue joint within walking distance downtown. I'm glad I did. I ordered the baked potato with pulled pork and it was delicious! The potato was huge and cooked to perfection. The pulled pork was plentiful, moist, and delicious! I used the sweet barbecue sauce but had a choice of hot barbecue sauce and spicy mustard. The pickle bar was a nice touch where they not only had pickles but jalapeños and sweet peppers. I had a root beer and our very cheerful waitress made sure I had a refill before I even asked for it. My partner had the sliced brisket sandwich and he said it wasn't dry at all. He loved it! Because of all the rave reviews about their banana pudding, we ordered one to share, and it lived up to all the hype. This may not be the best barbecue in Oklahoma, but it satisfied our craving. Gotta say, these Texans took a little offense to the upside down Longhorn on the wall, however.

Ok this was serious the most mind blower restaurant in Tulsa for me. I did not expect the perfect entrance host, the wonderful bbq food was delicious seriously, but the best of the best was the waitress that served me. She was honestly the most perfect server that I've ever had. This place is nice and clean and designed great inside.

Great place to pick up dinner for a large crowd, fast and friendly. Ribs are sometimes hot or miss.

Mediocre BBQ at best. Everyone in town said their ribs were fantastic, but I found them to be just ok.

I know that people have really strong feelings about this place one way or the other so I'm just gonna be brave about this and charge on. It had been several years since I actually had ate here, and my husband had never been, so we made a date of it! As as soon as you walk in the door, you know you're at someplace special. The interior of this restaurant immediately transports you to that green island across the sea. We started our evening with appetizers, one from their OktoberFest menu (the sausage balls) and another from their regular menu (the goat and cream cheese plate). The sausage balls are flavorful and filled with sausage, cabbage, and cheese. It's fried almost like an arancini and they serve three of them with a sauce that neither of us could quite identify, but I'm sure it was on the menu description. I am not a big fan of cabbage, even if it is something that you can't really taste it in so this wasn't my personal favorite. My husband said it needed just a little bit more seasoning, but it was otherwise delicious. Out of the two, my favorite was the goat cheese which was served with a toasted bread. For our mains, I got the classic Guinness steak pie with the brown gravy, and my husband got the fish and chips. Hands-down, you cannot beat this steak pie! The crust was delicious, the filling was seasoned just right and the brown gravy around it was just perfection. For the side I switched out the seasoned vegetables for the green beans. The green beans were still crunchy in a good way, and seasoned with salt pepper and a little bit of garlic. This is brought out in a shareable size and paired well with the hardiness of the steak pie. My husband's fish and chips were unfortunately a little lackluster. For our personal taste, the batter was just a bit too cakey and was really dark. The potato wedges that were served with it were decent. Though for our personal taste, I wish that they had been dropped a little bit longer in the fryer. They have an in-house tartar sauce that they put olives in. If you're like my husband, you might want to steer clear and just grab the malt vinegar or ketchup instead. It wasn't bad, he just doesn't like olives.‍ Our server was really kind and attentive, even though he was running about half of the tables in the restaurant! We definitely will be back to try more of the menu and plan to bring family in as they enjoy an Irish pub scene as well. I'm giving them a 4 star review because I can't give them a 3.5. and I like to round up. I think a lot of of what we experienced was just personal preference and like I said we do plan to come back because we have loved ones who will enjoy this. Overall, a great midweek dining experience.

I saw the Thirsty Thursday menu, which is frozen drinks for $5 and $1 for top it off with an additional shot of vodka. I've got heart eyes already. I couldn't decide which one I wanted to try first so she let me taste test the blueberry lavender, frozé, and the seasonal flavor which was some sort of floral with St Germain. Ok LOVE. Started off with the blueberry lavender, and got the sweet potato waffle fries to start. YUM. Not too crispy, not too soggy, which is what I was afraid of with waffle fries. Lucy also recommended Carmel sauce with the fries. I tried it and it's my new fav thing. It's SO GOOD. Octavia took over as Lucy is a manager (checks out) and she's super sweet and very helpful. Entree decision was the taco wrap with a side of tater tots. Neat, and delicious. 10/10 would recommend. Thought I would be able to have a second round but decided against it, guess I have to come back soon for that other frozen bevie. Highly recommend spending a Thursday afternoon/eve here. Sitting outside, downtown Tulsa in the spring is still beautiful even with all the construction. Whenever I come back, I'll be hitting the Brook again for sure.

The restaurant itself is on the 2nd floor and had a nice layout - perfect for large groups or gathering. I heard they were known for their Chicken Fried Steak so a few of us ordered it. OMG the portions were huge - even the drinks! The chicken fried steak was a bit heavy so it was hard to finish. I got a side of Caesar salad and enjoyed it better. I thought the Deep Fried Mushrooms were the best item we had. It was delicious. This was shared between our party and I actually liked it more than the steak! Overall, service was okay. Our server was friendly but forgot a few items - a couple drinks and an entree. I'd come back for the mushrooms. Delicious!
