1/2 Lb. Garlic Fries
Daphne A.

Garlic fries: yes. Gyros: maybe. Unfortunately the gyro meat was dry but I did think the fries were the perfect level of crispy and seasoned. It's just unfortunate when a gyro is a simple meal and the only star is the meat, when the meat isn't good, it lets the whole thing down. The other ingredients truly are difficult to mess up, and I will say the fresh components of this gyro were nice. It's relatively unclean inside and has flies everywhere. I hate to give it the rating I do just because the guy was so kind and clearly loves his job. We felt that love too. And the fries were great! I hope they can revamp these couple things to make sure they get a returning customer in the future. As it stands, I don't think I will be back.

A little hole in the wall place that offers a straight forward gyro. The type of gyro you want at 2am after the bars, the best kind. The staff was super friendly and place is clean if you car about that, and the food came out fast. The gyro meat was well seasoned and hot, much like you find at any other gyro place. The pita was hot and sauce was tangy and garlicky which complimented the gyro. For $12 I would be back for sure.

So fire every time we go, my partner and I love going here. The people working are always super friendly and food comes out quick.

Got takeout from Albees for dinner. Called it in and was told 15 minutes. I got there about 15 minutes later, and he was just finishing up my order - love when that happens. It was fresh and smelled amazing. We both got the Beef Gyro and shared an order of Empire State Fries. Both were so good. The beef was perfectly marinated, and the tzatziki was spot on. The seasoned fries were covered in garlic and feta and perfect when dipped in the cool tzatziki. The location isn't the greatest - takeout is probably the best bet. It is more of a deli style establishment than a place to dine. There is a small outdoor seating area and no real indoor seating. There is no dedicated parking, so you need to find a spot on the street. The guy working was very nice. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Great service and friendly place. The fries are bomb. The gyros were ready in 5 minutes, very tasty

This is absolutely the greatest Mediterranean spot I've found in Eugene and one of the greatest food spots in general down here. Came on an early Sunday afternoon and there was only man working but he was a ONE MAN SHOW. He got it done I wish I asked for his name, unfortunately I did not. I'm going to name him Angel because he is my Angel for serving me a delicious meal. Will absolutely be coming back I felt like I was back in NYC. I ordered the Gyro Salad and the meat to salad proportion was the greatest of any place I've ever been served, and for only $11.50 it was the greatest deal of my life! Also the seasoned fries were excellent, though I'd recommend the garlic as it's the same price for more flavor!!!

The best gyros ever. My god the garlic fries with feta brings on the loves. And the spanakopita was so buttery and delicate.

We had heard about this Syrian restaurant in Corvallis (we live in Eugene) and had been meaning to…read morego there for dinner with friends, but it just never seemed to gel. Then, on a trip to the Oregon coast, we happened to be going through Corvallis at lunchtime and decided to stop. We are SO glad we did. All of the other Yelp reviews said it was really good, but few mentioned any specific dish. Except for the hummus, which received off-the-chart good reviews. So we tried the Lamb Hummus dish as well as the Musakhan Rolls, which is a chicken with caramelized onions wrapped in fresh grilled bread. Both were excellent with some notes. The Musakhan Rolls said they come with a garlic sauce. The sauce was excellent, but tasted more like a tart yogurt/sour cream sauce to us. Not a strong garlic flavor. The lamb in the hummus was also very good, but kind of bland. We love lamb when it is prepared well (we usually only order from a Middle Eastern restaurant) and this was prepared perfectly. We just felt it could stand a little more flavor or spice. However, the hummus. Oh. My. Word. The hummus. All of those off-the-chart reviews were spot on. The hummus had to be the best hummus we have ever had in our lives. And we eat a variety of foods from a variety of places. It was the perfect amount of garlic and so creamy, we actually used our fingers to wipe the bowl and get that last remaining bits of the hummus. Our service was excellent. It is family-owned and our server was very pleasant and hospitable. The inside is decorated in what appears to be Syrian decor and is nicely done. Now we have to connect with our friends and go back sometime soon for dinner. Yumm!

Instead of chunks of lamb, it was ground lamb. The manager said these were Syrian kabobs and that's the way they are made.

The sauce on the falafel pita was super weird, like something I've never had, and I've eaten plenty of falafel sandwiches, and the falafel was cold (I dug one out to see if I wanted to eat just the falafel). I threw the falafel pita away...did not eat it because it was so gross. It was kinda bizarre how much sauce they put on it...see pic. Not only unappetizing (the sauce), but overall gross in appearance, especially being in such quantity. I can't recall ever throwing away a falafel pita, but this was really gnarly. So...the worst falafel sandwich I've ever had. I can think of one in Tucson that would be competition for worst ever, but I did choke that one down. I ate the chicken pita but did not enjoy it. The place was in significant disarray, didn't seem clean...an overall bad vibe for a Saturday afternoon. I regret going there, but it had good reviews. Sorry.
