Noe and Maria arrived on time and did a beautiful job on the shower regrout and Noe even accommodated some last minute requests to add caulking in the kitchen and quarter round. Unfortunately, we had different ideas about what grout 'touch-ups' meant for the floors - I wanted a few spots regrouted to match the rest of the flooring's grout color - but it really lacked a professional touch and didn't look good at all. I did invite Noe to come back to redo it, and it still did not meet the professional standard I paid for. I would have appreciated more thorough communication from the start to make sure I was getting what I needed. To be honest, this was not the cheapest quote I got but paid more because of the great reviews. I would be happy to change my review to 5 stars if the team wants to come back for a full regrout on the floors, but I'm not planning to pay any more than I already have. I'll attach some pictures of the beautiful shower and subpar floor grout job.

The other two, brothers Tom & Emanuel were good. No grout for the key bathroom they were hired to re-grout & replace one broken tile. The lead GroutGuy, Peter, left the house to go find grout @ hardware store & 65 minutes later returned with-No Grout! He could not find the right color beige (Haystack) grout. Wow....this is surreal! As it turned out, I told him I had what is a "discontinued " sandstone grout" I preferred he not use. He went ahead & mixed the grout in a bucket right in my entry to my living room, leaving behind a cloud of messy sandstone all over my hardwood floors & furniture. Did he clean up his mess? No!! After almost 6 hours the lead Grout guy, Peter, had completely overlooked key areas in the bathroom to grout & seemed confused about the job. Turns out he's new to the company, to be fair. I had some extra tile, fortunately, to replace a broken piece & don't you know, he cracked that tile; mis-seated the toilet, now @ an angle & when I foolishly paid them for a botched job I called the Franchise owner, Mark, to ask he send over a competent, trained GroutGuy to fix the mess left behind. Hiring people to work on your house is never fun and contractors are often flaky. I got none of that with them. Israel (owner) responded to my request promptly, came by the same day, and provided us with a quote. He and his team (Pedro and Jesus) were responsive to questions, punctual, and extremely hard working. I like their electronic scheduling system as you know who is coming and when. They took care to keep other areas of the house and deck covered and I didn't have to do much clean up after they were finished which I really appreciated. The people Israel brought to put in the countertops were excellent. I was going to have Granite Expo do it at first because the price was a little less but 100% happy I changed my mind because I know the install would not have been done as well. Not only does our finished kitchen look great, it was one of the least painful experiences with a contractor we have had to date. So much in fact, we are having Israel and team do the bathroom next.

I will have a section of the house closed off for any odors that might trigger asthma. I am not so concerned now because my asthma is usually triggered by dust and not odor and they have told me that it would be a minimum amount of dust. I will continue to work with this company and I will hire a Cleaning Crew to do a thorough cleaning of the bathroom counters etc after they have done the work ... therefore, I am changing my review based on this communication to a five star for the additional Customer Service I received. After the job is done, I will update once more with the quality of work, which I am sure will be above average. I've been trying to update things in my 25-year old house recently (new roof, new fridge, new…read moremicrowave,...). The grout and silicone caulk in the main bathroom shower had been deteriorating for too long. It was pretty bad so I reached out to The Grout Doctor. I set up an appointment and Mac (a great guy by the way) came over a few days ago. He has over 20 years of experience and it showed. He went far beyond what I was expecting. Not only did he replace the moldy silicone all around the shower and replace all the cracked moldy grout, he completely cleaned the shower walls and floor with a razor. I never realized how much soap scum could build up even with fairly regular cleanings using a bathroom surface cleaner. Everything looks better than I expected it to look. I highly recommend giving them a call and let them work their magic. The shower now looks like it did decades ago.

The Grout Guys did an excellent job caulking and sealing several bathroom sink-to-vanity joints,…read morethe kitchen sink, and re-grouting my shower. They were quick, provided a reasonable quote compared to others I got in the area, and the work was good. I specifically waited a while to see if the grout or caulk would crack, and it's holding up well. I would give a five star review if not for a couple small things. Firstly, I was not informed up front when giving the quote that they only caulk areas where there is no paint. i.e. they can do the tub to floor, they can do sink to vanity, but they won't do vanity to drywall. I found out later that this is fairly common practice, so not a huge deal, but I did wish someone mentioned it back when I was getting the quote and not when the guy arrived on my door to do the job. So take note if you don't know much about caulking like me. Secondly - and this is the main reason I took off a star! I had a lot of items in my shower that I didn't have time to clear prior to the tech's arrival, and when I rushed to clear them, he kindly informed me that he could do so and I didn't have to. OK, great! Honestly the tech was nothing but kind to me but... I had a bin of clean laundry sitting near to the master bathroom door waiting to be folded. I returned a while later to discover that he had moved many shower items, most of which have a bit of soap stain or hair or other sticky shower nastiness on them... INTO my clean laundry bin and directly on the carpet! Needless to say I redid my laundry, moved the shower items onto a towel, and scrubbed the carpet after he left. I truly believe the tech had the best intentions, but I would advise removing your shower and tabletop things yourself if you hire The Grout Guys! Otherwise, the actual work itself was perfect :)

Efran was prompt, thoughtful, and did a quality job from start to finish re-grouting our walk-in…read moreshower. The grout had previously been done poorly and was covered with silicone caulking that collected a lot of mold and mildew. Everything looked brand new when Efran was done. He also redid the caulking for a couple of our sinks and our entire kitchen countertop. I'd highly recommend him, doesn't hurt that he's super nice too.
