Chicken shawarma was OK. I really love shawarmas but this tasted very different. It was really small for the price. The chicken had different seasoning than I'm use to. Stopped by this place after catching a movie downtown and it was open late! Great food, really friendly people here. Portions were definitely shareable. We had Greek fries, mixed grill and lamb shawarma and nothing disappointed. More of a casual vibe - they often keep the doors open for air circulation so that invites a few fruit flies but nothing that would stop me from going back. I'm absolutely delighted to have eaten here. I've been to a lot of places that serve Mediterranean but what stands out here are their specials. It's quite difficult to find very traditional dishes like the mansaf in the city but these guys have it and so much more. However, the menu options are selective, and the ambience is not very inviting (somehow it just doesn't have a very clean feel to it - although the kitchen is open and clearly everything is hygienic). The portion sizes are generous, but I felt the flavor was lacking in the lentil soup, and the salt felt a tad bit more in the falafel. The chicken plate was my favorite dish here. I have to say, this place is a rarity. I stopped by after spending some time out late in downtown, and I was surprised when I stopped by for what I thought was a simple bite. Usually you expect late night stops to be a bit bland in flavor, and in excitement; but my dish had no faults whatsoever. I believe this restaurant just opened recently and they are off to a great start. Everything we ordered was delicious and had the right touch of homemade flavors. I had the beef & lamb kofta, the meat was seasoned nicely and I loved the tahini sauce on the side. I had a bite of my husbands lamb shank and it was fall off the bone tender. The Greek fries were also really good. Nice and crisp and the feta was buttery soft. This is definitely a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I hope they stay around for a while! read more

I had a very horrible delivery experience. And although post mates was involved. They were very rude to post mates delivery woman. She had to call me telling me they won't give her my order. She said they kicked her out. I called and told them that my food had not arrived and she was there to pick up. And he drilled me for 45 min. Then finally said he "believed me" and that he would send someone with my food but not "with her" I called her back and cancelled the order and sent postmates the situation so that she was not hurt by this. And al basha never sent my order 25 bucks not accounted for. No phone call back. And when I called after an hour. The phones were off. Horrible experience and very bad customer service read more

Good friends from out of town came to visit. We were looking for a late-night spot with halal food and this place came up in our search. We're so glad we came here! Service was warm and friendly. They gave us fries on the house and they were fresh and well-seasoned. Our food was delicious. We ordered the Iraqi kebab, chicken and beef combo kebab, falafel plate, and lamb gyro plate. My friends said the meat was noticeably more tasty than other places. The salad was very fresh, which I noticed immediately. Fresh produce is such an important sign that the chefs care. I wanted to love this place, but too many factors led me to have a terrible time here. I'll start off with the pros since there aren't so many. PROS: This place is halal and in the heart of Belltown. I love the location of this spot, which was why I wanted to love this restaurant. The meat was really fresh. I normally don't enjoy lamb, especially when it's still on the bone. However I found the lamb to be flavorful, soft, and tasty. The chicken and beef were on point with juiciness as well. The selection of menu was pretty vast, they have a lot of good vegetarian and meat options. CONS: The servers messed up our orders several times. They forgot to serve us one of the platters and then told us we never placed an order. On top of that, they weren't clear on what the platter entails. It was extremely confusing-- five different items were portrayed on the menu but you can only choose one. That was not what it looked like on the menu. The food came out thirty minutes after placing the order, and we were the only people in the restaurant. They were kind to give us dates to open our fasts and provided backlava at the end due to the multiple mess-ups. Also to be fair, my friends and I (party of 5) were at the restaurant for nearly three hours and they didn't complain once. They were incredibly patient with us. I know they recently opened up the restaurant and they're still ramping up the staff, so maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt. The Baba Ganoush alone was worth the visit. But, you'd be missing out on a lot of fresh and tasty goodness if that is all you tried. I'm a hearty herbivore and thoroughly enjoyed the falafel plate and lentil soup. These nice fellas really care about the food they prepare... i was equally impressed with the quality, freshness and seasoning. The falafel was some of the best I've enjoyed in a long time, not overdone and just a little moist on the inside. And, give the lentil soup a try, such a great blend of flavor. Friendly service, generous portions and good food. Recently opened in Belltown, you can tell they aren't fully settled in yet. There was also a couple of spots with some water spills or messes which were left. There is also a weird Clustering of flies as I entered but nothing too disturbing to keep me from trying. The food was good; I enjoyed the falafel, but nothing out of the ordinary. The plates look like they can be filling as some other patrón was practically eating an entire lamp to himself. I'm currently visiting Seattle for a medical conference. I was looking for iftar options for me, my husband and my toddler. This place caught my eye because it's reviews. We decided to order food to-go and eat it back at our hotel. To say I was highly disappointed is an understatement. After fasting for 14.5 hours we were very excited to break our fasts to some good food. However, the portions that this restaurant offers isn't enough to feed my 1.5 year old toddler. Their shawarma sandwiches are half the size of normal sandwiches. We also ordered a kabab plate and instead got a kifta plate (which was also half empty). It's a very casual place - seemed to be a lot of take out business. We sat and ate there. I think the falafel wraps were pretty good. We also tried a couple of the hummus options and those were also decent. They had two different kinds. The one with more tahini had this much cooler and refreshing tasted to it. Another example of good Arabic food. I wasn't as impressed with the flavors as I was with Tanoor, but the prices are much cheaper. This is a much more casual place. Very good baba ghanouj, hummus was ok. The spinach fatayer was excellent as was the falafel. My husband preferred the falafel here to Tanoor, but I disagreed with him. In any case, they were of perfect consistency. Crunchy on the outside but delicate on the inside. Not dry, heavy, or dense at all. I had a mint-lemon drink or mint lime, it's a must try if you're into that sort of thing. I'd say give it a try and if it's not your thing then it's not for you. I must admit I've only dined here in person once, but I've ordered takeout from the multiple times and have always had really wonderful dishes. This most recent time I went with the lamb shank plate and OMG I am so glad I did. That was by far some of the most tender lamb I have ever had. The rice was cooked perfectly, the lamb has so much flavor, and they also included some extra sauce which I thoroughly appreciate it. I will say that I did not get the tzaziki side, but I'm not going to nitpick on such an awesome dinner. I will say that my favorite of the sandwiches is for sure the lamb and beef shawarma oh, and the only thing that I don't fully recommend is the Falafel side just because it is a little dry, but in a plate it's pretty good. I only got this as delivery via door dash so I can't rate the actual ambience of the restaurant or service. I ended up ordering this after a full day of laboring my daughter at Swedish Hospital.
