Best locksmith in the game for any cars. This guy is a genius with this stuff. I came in for a replacement key fob, and I was in and out in 30 mins with a new and upgraded bmw key style too. AKW has all makes and model keys in stock, which is what makes this place even greater. read more

Highly recommend. Christopher saved me a huge headache yesterday. I was stupid enough to lock my car keys in the trunk of my Mercedes outside of an Autozone 20 miles away from my shop & home where I had a spare key. SUPER FUN lol...AAA wouldn't be able to simply slim-Jim the door locks as these cars are not designed to allow easy access to pop a door lock open. I needed a vehicle locksmith, and the local locksmith I called didn't want to bother with my car because "it was not an easy design to get into." AAA was sending me an independent contractor with an ETA of 90 minutes after already having waited an hour. My phone was also dying of course, and I was pressed on time. I happened to be on hold with AAA while watching traffic, when I saw Chris's van that said "Vehicle Locksmith" with car keys all over it just driving by on the busy street I was stuck on. I called the number on the van and asked if he had time to stop by to help me get in, so he did right away. He didn't waste any time and had my door open within 5 minutes! He didn't seem intimidated nor gave me a bunch of crap about how they're too difficult to pick,' preparing me for a big bill or anything. He actually charged me a SUPER fair price, which I even replied "that's IT??" I even tipped him an extra $35 and he was super grateful. I own an auto repair shop in Tujunga so he just earned all my customer referrals! Thank you! read more

Akw locksmith - Chris opened up my car within 5 minutes! My key lanyard just teasing me hanging out of my locked car lol - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Alhambra, California

Went to get a few keys cut here: 2 Car keys, 1 house key. The guy said that I'd have to bring the car in order to get the car key cut. When questioning it, he stated it was to "test" the key. Understandable but, just cut the key and I'll deal with it if, in the slim chance, the key doesn't work. After cutting it, I inspected the key. Literally cut the key on a completely wrong key. When I told him, he denied cutting it wrong. Again- a literal wrong key with different (noticeable) grooves. He took the key back and cut it on the correct key. As I was walking out, I noticed that the HOUSE key was copied onto a wrong key as well. Again, different noticeable grooves in the key. They insisted that the type of key we brought in was the "same thing" as the key they provided. But again, they had to take the key back to copy it on the right key. Either they cut the key wrong in defiance because I insisted on them copying the key without the presence of my car or they simply don't what they're doing. I'd understand if it was Blah Blah Insurance and Locksmith but to be a dedicated locksmith company is inexcusable. On top of that, they overcharge to copy keys. Give me a break. Good thing they messed up twice so that they eat the cost instead of the customer. read more

Very responsive and quick service when messaging. I brought my broken truck key in and they were able to make a new one for me at a great value. I will come here again when I need key service. read more

Bought a new car and needed an extra key made. Got an appointment right away and finished making and programming the key in less then 15 min. Highly recommend! I will be coming here for future keys! read more

My car key stopped remotely opening the doors and disengaging the alarm. Of course when I got to Auto Key World it worked just fine but I had them make me a new key and remote combo and the bonus was they were able to make one where the key folds into the remote to save me space in my pocket and keep me from getting poked by the long key. Great job and really quick, highly recommend these guys! read more

Prompt response and effective. Dispatcher and owner were responding separately via Yelp and phone respectively, which got a little confusing but owner personally came to resolve the matter. Thank you! read more

Got 2 keys programmed and they set up the fob remote too. Process took about 15 minutes. This place was the most affordable compared to other places. Owner was really responsive and got an appointment on the same day. read more

I went in to get a key and remote made for my vehicle. They told me to come in and they would get it done. When I got there there was another person ahead of me. It only took about 20 minutes for them to finish up that customer and get me a new key and remote. I had a issue with one of the locks on the vehicle, but because they were so busy the guy working there told me that they could get the lock replaced, but to bring it back after an hour since they had to do something off-site. I called back in an hour and was told they they couldn't fix the lock on my vehicle, even though they had told me they could previously. I wasn't too happy about that which is why I took off one star. read more

I needed new keyfob for a vehicle I just bought because the one it came with was starting to not lock and unlock the car plus the other buttons just didn't work. I sent out a request for pricing through yelp and this company got back to me right away and had a better price than all the other companies. The employee was super nice, and was quick. He knew exactly what he was doing . All in all it took about 25-30 minutes to cut and program 2 key fobs and blades for me. I am super excited and relieved that now I don't have to worry about my key failing me! I definitely recommend this place. The keys even come with a one year warranty! read more

Thank you Chris/AKW Locksmith!!! I highly recommend this place! Chris is very fast on responding back on price quotes or any questions you may have. Also, it was definitely worth the drive from Glendale to Alhambra. I came in needing my spare key for my Rav4 cut and programmed, which was very quick! It only took 20 mins from beginning to end! read more

I needed a key duplicated for my car. I was going to do it myself but upon further reading reviews, it wasn't going to work out; so I decided to go with a professional. Several Yelp inquiries later I ended up going with this location. I'm not normally on this side of town but happened to be headed that direction that particular day anyway. Chris was very knowledgeable and quick. He cut my key and tested it. Unfortunately it didn't work because the transponder was too far from the key to start the ignition of my vehicle (I upgraded my regular key to a folding fob). "Since you're already all the way out here, I'll go ahead and program it for you". And he did, at no additional cost! How kind of him. I was driving off in about 20 minutes or so. I'm a very happy customer. Speed, quality, and much less money than my dealer would have charged. read more

Fast, friendly service. These professionals know what they're doing. Will rely on them for future lock and key needs.

So, in (positive) Alhambra news, we found a miracle worker there--Chris Sun's Auto Key World. www.autokeyworld.com. We have a 2002 Mercedes ML320. We needed an electronic key fob replaced on it and no one, not Mercedes dealer nor factory, not local locksmiths (a neighborhood guy, Encino, Plaza Lock--avoid!--BROKE the only good one we had left with no apologies, no excuses), no one. We essentially were going to have to give up locking the car. We thought, some digital hacker should be able to do this! And Chris Sun was our man. Broken fob repaired, destroyed fob and key recut and replaced. Call him. Extended our car's life. read more

WOW! This is the spot I'll be going to for any future key/key fob related problems. Let me first start by saying I went to the Infiniti Dealership in Monrovia and they quoted me 160$ just to DIAGNOSE what was wrong with the key FOB. The salesman then proceeded to tell me if there's any reprogrommaing or replacement needed it will be an additional 300$. So.. total like maybe $500-600 after tax. SOOOOO RIDICULOUS!! LUCKILY I found this place.. the owner picked up my call quickly and helped with any questions I had. When I got there he helped me immediately and fixed my key fob in under 10 minutes without having to re-program or replace! ALL FOR 10$! Great service at a extremely great price! Don't go to dealerships to fix any key problems....come here ! read more

I lost my extra keys earlier in the pandemic. Since then I have tried to live with just one set of keys until my husband left this am with both car keys. Stranded at home with a kid needing to go to school I decided to finally buy another key. They hooked up my 2010 Prius with an extra fob and now I'll take my Honda CR-V to get another extra. read more

I called in the morning, Chris answered quickly asked him how much to cut and program 2 key fobs for a Toyota, gave me a very fair and honest price. Made the drive from Diamond Bar, was worth it, excellent service and sales informed me that batteries in new key fob's that I bought from Amazon where almost dead. I purchased 2 new batteries from him in and out less than 20 mins, honest and good service, I wouldn't hesitate to come back or recommend his service's. read more

Completely unprofessional. I initially contacted him to get our mailbox rekeyed. He asked for a photo of the mailbox to which I obliged. Waited a few days and nothing. I finally decided to call as he was the closest locksmith to us. He didn't return my call. Sent him a message on Yelp again and he just kept asking questions that I had already answered in my original inquiry. Why not just call me back to get more information? Clearly he did not want our business and should have just said so instead of wasting our time. What a shame. read more

These guys rock! I lost a key in an elevator shaft on a Fri and unfortunately I was out of luck. On top of having to wait till Tuesday for a new key, the price was thru the roof and my car was stranded at home so I would have to tow my car to the dealer. To my luck I got ahold of AKW and Chris came to the rescue. He was very understanding about my situation and was able to come down the following day (because I called them a lil late) so I wouldn't miss any more days of work. Chris was awesome! He was mobile and came down to my apt. Provided excellent customer service, was super friendly and did an awesome job not to mention he gave me a great deal! Got my bmw key fob and I will forever contact them for my car key issues. I Strongly recommended! read more
