2003 Mitsubishi Galant, +220K miles, (KBB value ~ $2K) parked at my senior citizen parents home because of parking restrictions at my complex. Our son recently turned of age to practice for his license , a fantastic hand-me-down car to start with. It's never had any issues and has always been strong. In the near 20 years of owning this vehicle, it's always had a single key; a decade ago we tried to program another key from another company and they had no luck. Because we already had a key, we never gave it a second thought. Flash-forward ten years later the vehicle is parked at my parents house untouched (or started/driven) for 6 weeks. Turns-out my parents had lost the single and only key I had. No biggie right? We called a random (and competing) company (also with great Yelp reviews) to come and make a new one. Upon arrival the gentleman was very nice. Cut the key, however couldn't get the system to match the key. After 1.5 hours of attempts, he gave up. This made reminded me of my experience of a poor attempt 10 years ago. The dilemma is, because a key can't be matched (after two various companies attempting) the only issue/resort would be towing the vehicle to the dealer, having them cut a dealer key, AND having them match the key accordingly with the vehicles system. This last resort would be well into the cost of the vehicle - so if this was the resort; we would opt to donate the vehicle or try to sell "as-is" in non-working condition. Either way it would be monetary loss of the value of the vehicle. ENTER Chris, our last attempt before making the decision of donating the vehicle if he couldn't get the key to work. In speaking with Chris, I have given the history of the vehicle with the past poor attempts. I've given him reasons/responses other techs have given for reasons why they feel they couldn't get it done. Chris with confidence understood the issue, and gave a light audible laugh knowing what these techs said weren't the experienced he had. What would have normally been a 20 minute job ended up being three hours... BUT CHRIS GOT IT TO WORK! This was literally $2K saved from me donating a perfectly working vehicle. Chris knew if he couldn't get it done, what my options were. Knowing this he put in the extra time and effort (mind you today was + 100° in SGV!). When it was done, my parents, myself, and my neighbors knowing the issue gladly cheered! AND Chris beat out the competition by $20! GO CHRIS! read more

They charge around 33% of what the dealership quoted for a new replacement key. My car is a 2006 honda accord, with the standard lock/unlock/trunk/panic buttons integrated into the head. In all of 15 minutes, Chris was able to cut me two new keys, get the chip to read, and program the remote. Basically replicate the original. You can tell the aftermarket case has a matted rather than smooth texture, but otherwise it looks and feels OEM. Feels great to save so much and get things immediately. My only recommendation is to call before going to the store. I went during business hours, and the door was locked, so I called the number posted, and Chris told me he would return in 15 minutes as he was out serving another customer. read more

I heartily endorse using their services. Chris did a pretty good job; he is receptive, efficient, and progressive in what he does. My mom doesn't have any backups or a copy of the master key she lost for the car. I called a couple locksmiths and it was a lot, I also called the dealership to get a brand new key without a copy of the key it was $500+ and also you'll have to tow the car to the dealership. So If you haven't done so, I recommend getting a copy of your car keys. This is an important lesson that my family learned from my mom. I contacted this business and Chris provided a reasonable estimate for the master key for my moms. After the call, he arrived an hour later. I contacted other locksmiths and the rates to have a key made for my car was almost 400. Plus they needed payment up front and while I spent most of my money grocery shopping I didn't have the full payment on the spot. I was stupid enough to lock my car keys in the trunk of my Mercedes outside of an Autozone 20 miles away from my shop & home where I had a spare key. SUPER FUN lol...AAA wouldn't be able to simply slim-Jim the door locks as these cars are not designed to allow easy access to pop a door lock open. I needed a vehicle locksmith, and the local locksmith I called didn't want to bother with my car because "it was not an easy design to get into."
