Seriously can't get the cherry chipotle bbq wings out of my head. Would recommend this place to anyone!

My wife and I were in town with our exchange students (from Italy and Spain), we had an expectation…read morethat we would have a hard time finding amazing food and did struggle the first few days with average results. Then as we sat at a local dive, I stumbled on Finn & Feather and we left, drove 95mph and made it (with an hour and half to spare as they are on Central time!). I am so glad we made that move, drinks were great, food was AMAZING! Our exchange students tried the ELK steak my wife ordered for the first time (and first time for me as well) and it was simply perfection! My old fashioned was spot on. I'm a steak guy, my steak was the GUIDES cut (I was skeptical), but HOLY COW, what a piece of meat, cooked to my exact standards (my Dad was a butcher) and the piece was a very generous portion given the price after cooking even. Ok, so I would leave it there, but I can NOT, the deserts were home-made, the in-house cream alone was fabulous and the cake we had was out of this world. Our only minor complaint, the broccolini needs some seasoning, but overall it was so minor, we wouldn't worry too much about it. If you are up North, an even within an hour, make the trip to this amazing restaurant sitting buried right on the shores of Lake Gogebic. It was so good, we heard they were doing a lobster boil the next night, we booked reservations on the spot and came back the next night! Special shout-out to our waiter and the whole staff - it was the Labor Day weekend and they made us feel special, included and the food - oh the food - so good! Don't miss this special place on your next trip up north!

I get here rarely because I don't live here, but have a summer cottage in the area. Let me break down my dinner tonight for you below, and you can decide if you want to try it for yourself. Service - Spot on. Attentive, but not too attentive and very friendly. Appetizer - Truffle fries. Some people like truffle, some people hate truffle. Regardless of that, the fries were cooked to perfection! I cannot think of another french fry I've had that was better than these. Salad - Rarely do I eat all of my house salad, because honestly, they usually suck. This salad was fresh with a light lemon vinaigrette. I cleaned the plate. Bread - Great bread. I don't know if they make it in house, but the garlic butter that came with it was fantastic as well. Mains: Mine - Veal Schnitzel. The dish came with two large veal cutlets, broccolini, and a mountain of garlic mashed potatoes. I could only finish one of the cutlets. There was a dijonnaise drizzled across the plate which was a welcome acid to balance out the richness of the veal. broccolini is always good, and the potatoes were really good. My daughter(an adult) - Boneless braised short ribs in a red wine gravy. I have had this previously and it was great. I sampled some of her dinner and confirmed that it is still very tasty. It taste like someone had cooked the ribs with good seasoning for a long time. The sides were the same as mine, but when you have a couple solid sides, why bother with other randoms. Dessert - We shared a Strawberry creme brulee. I have no words to describe how good this is. Get it.
