They send out a young guy who spent a few minutes in the attic and came out saying the furnace was too old, without a model name/number and it had to be completely replaced because they don't make parts anymore. I was a little taken aback because I thought they would still make parts. I walked into the attic and clearly saw the brand was Honeywell and took a pic/video for a 2nd opinion. Today I called DZO and spoke to Alex live and he said he had a technician, DENIS, that would know how to fix it and he would come by the same day. He came right on time and within five minutes he determined it was the circuit board. He was like McGuyver! Then he asked to check my AC which hasn't been checked for at least a decade and determined it needed some freon. He actually cared about getting everything working well-- I was VERY impressed. I will definitely be using them for any of my heating/cooling concerns and have already began recommending them to my friends. Thank you Alex and Denis for your commitment to caring and troubleshooting in a quick manner with reasonable rates (they don't charge to assess the situation).

Obviously this may not be possible during the summer since they are a small family business but don't let that deter you. Their pricing is fair and reasonable compared to what the bigger companies quoted me without sacrificing quality. Moises arrived on-time (a few minutes early actually which I appreciated). He was friendly, informative, and honest. He wasn't rushing and we had a nice conversation (not just about my project). No fancy unneeded upsells or "nickel and diming" these bigger companies do. This interaction was a true client building relationship which gained them a new customer.

Professional, Honest, and Thorough - Highly Recommend…read more After a disappointing and unsafe experience with a technician sent by my home warranty company, I contacted Knock Out Heating and Air for a second opinion, and I am very glad that I did. Their technician was professional, detail oriented, and went above and beyond to make things right. Not only did he diagnose the actual issues with my air conditioning unit, but he also corrected serious mistakes made by the first technician. These included disconnected wires, an incorrectly installed capacitor, and even a cardboard box that had been left inside the unit, which created a serious fire hazard. His thorough inspection and honest assessment brought peace of mind and restored my system to safe working order. Knock Out Heating and Air did more than just fix my air conditioning unit. They helped protect my home and my family. If you are looking for knowledgeable, reliable, and safety conscious heating and cooling professionals, I highly recommend this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! STAY FAR FAR AWAY! They are extremely unprofessional, do terrible work,…read moreand STEAL. They installed our HVAC in our new construction house. It leaked. They said it was dried out. Months later, their tech came to do routine required maintenance. Then the system then LEAKED AGAIN. We were told it was due to problems with the installation. They said everything was fixed. Water damaged areas were supposedly remediated. Inside of the attic crawl space, inside our walls and the back of our closet built-ins (below the leak from the system) grew TONS OF BLACK MOLD. We paid tens of thousands to fix this. Our family has had many expensive medical bills to test for and treat our ongoing medical issues from the mold exposure. For MONTHS AND MONTHS we asked the company about installing filters in our system. They took our deposit for very expensive filters. We had NUMEROUS appointments to install the filters where they NO SHOWED. I have called them SO MANY TIMES to ask to reschedule. Finally I gave up and asked for my deposit to be returned. They acknowledged several times that they will return the deposit. I have called, texted and emailed DOZENS of times and they have still not returned the deposit. A new employee told me that they don't have the money to return my deposit. They offered to give us free services to cover the deposit. I said they already no showed so many appointments that I'd rather save my time and have my money returned. They said they don't know when they can pay it. Months later, I still haven't received my deposit back despite many many more requests. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. STAY AWAY!!!!
