This Gem is worth looking for !!! If you are interested in one of the best Breakfast sandwiches or burritos, you have to try Ahuevo if you're in the area of Little Village. It's literally a Restaurant inside a Restaurant ! Mi Tierra 2528 S. Kedzie The staff is very kind and polite !!! My choice for today was a breakfast sandwich which was pretty tasty, can't wait to try something else off the menu !!! So stop by if ever in the neighborhood!!!

This restaurant is inside another restaurant called Mi Tierra. The young lady who assisted us was very nice. We are able to sit inside the restaurant and eat. It looked very clean. I had the puffy tots con huevos and my friend had the turkey sausage and egg sandwich. I also had the Cafe con chata. I received it cold but I know it would taste just as delicious hot. We had no complaints in regards to our food. Everything received was good and hot.

Came to Ahuevo for brunch and the breakfast here was absolutely delicious. It's located inside of Mi Tierra restaurant in Little Village and the space has a great vibe and stylish decor. The staff was great asking us when we arrived if we needed a menu for Ahuevo or Mi Tierra. I ordered The Ahuevo and the Turkey Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich. Both were great. The bread was fresh, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. We also tried the puffy tots, which were super crispy along with an Abuelita Hot Chocolate and Horchata. For something sweet, we had the Guava y Coco cookies, which were also really good. Definitely need to come back here to try more off the Ahuevo menu as well as the food on Mi Tierra's menu.

Had Ahuevo on Harrison, (their new location) with some friends and everything was fantastic. The double smash burger with everything was unreal -- crispy, juicy, and the flavors made it truly the best smash burger I've had in Chicago. The breakfast burrito with vegan chorizo was delicious, especially with their green salsa. The BLT was simple but good. The tater tots were absolutely amazing, perfectly crispy and soft inside addictive. The Horchata was honestly the best I've ever had. And don't forget the guava coconut and strawberry cookies -- they were so tasty and the perfect sweet ending. Everything tasted super fresh and well-made. Place has an awesome vibe and quick service! I'll absolutely be back, and it's an excellent spot for delivery too.

only giving this four stars because they didn't add my tater tots on the sandwich. i was looking for a place that had a vegan breakfast sandwich option for me and a non vegan option for my sis. so this was the perfect place. the girls taking our to go order were friendly and pleasant. it was inside of a huge restaurant so if we wanted to dine in that was definitely an option but we chose to grab ours to go. overall loved the space and would definitely go back.

Food Ambiance Service - got better after we spoke. Went to see the "Shameless" house from the TV series, and this place wasn't far. There was a little confusion finding the place, not because of the location, but because of the name. Ahuevo and Mi Tierra are one and the same. Anyway, greeted, and seated right away, and that's when the one and only issue came up. It seemed as if we were forgotten for a few minutes before I had to get up and speak to someone that we are still waiting to be seen. After that everything went well. I would definitely come back here!

Definitely recommend, came in because where we had intended on going was super packed, so next time... Wasn't sure what to expect, but was hidden in plain sight. Inside of Mi Tierra for those wondering. I had the Ahuevo sandwich with some really fluffy eggs, so good. Had their house green salsa and was very good. The puffy taters are a must! Had the Jamaica and was pleasantly surprised, wasn't overly sweet. It was not crowded but plenty of people were having breakfast. Was able to talk without talking too loud or having to overhear other's conversations lol. Noticed so many carry out orders for pickup while we there. Will have to go back and try something new.

If you're on the hunt for the best breakfast sandwich in Chicago, Ahuevo is the spot! It's located inside/next to Mi Tierra restaurant, which might be a little confusing at first, but just look for the canopy entrance on the main street, and you'll find it. Ordered pick up, so no interior photos, maybe next time. Parking Situation: There's a parking lot available, but it was pretty full when I went. Luckily, I still found a spot. Street parking is also an option--it's a busy area, but nothing too stressful when it comes to finding a space. The Food: Let's talk about this breakfast sandwich. WOW. The egg was fresh and cooked softly to perfection, the turkey sausage was juicy and tender, and the brioche bun was absolutely delicious. The sauce ties it all together in the best way--it's honestly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Added avocado to mine, que rico! You have to get the puffy tots! They're light, crispy, and perfectly soft on the inside. Pair them with the chipotle sauce, and it's game over. That sauce is packed with flavor--10/10 for sure. Overall Experience: Ahuevo is a hidden gem that serves up breakfast perfection. The flavors, the quality, and the vibe are unmatched. I love this place and can't wait to go back! Pro Tip: Don't be discouraged if the parking lot looks busy--there are usually spots, and it's worth the effort to get here.

I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything is made fresh to order so wait times are longer than expected but no biggie, you are heavily rewarded once the food comes out. We also had the pleasure of meeting Lazaro the owner, great guy. We wish you much success my friend!!

First of all, this is an excellent place for breakfast. I am a huge fan of the breakfast burritos. I don't think you can go wrong with any selection, but my favorite burrito has over easy eggs, pork sausage and grilled onions BUT the bacon burrito with scrambled eggs is also outstanding. And for the coffee: do yourself a favor and try a large iced coffee-horchata mix. IT'S DELICIOUS. The fact that food this good is also inexpensive is amazing. The service was excellent; very professional without hovering over the table. And the fact that this restaurant is, by night, a banging Mexican restaurant makes the atmosphere vibrant and inviting. I went with friends, and when we arrived we were the only table occupied, but by the time we left the place was filling up quickly.

Quite simply the best breakfast sandwhich I've had in Chicago. Note: it's a ghost kitchen but they have signs posted outside of Mi Tierra.

It's almost like being around my Italian cousins out on the East Coast…read more.. We were fortunate enough to be having dinner at an Italian restaurant in the same block, and I saw that they were open until midnight. I decided to grab a grinder and a couple of cannoli after dinner to consume the next day for lunch. They utilize a walk-up window for their later hours. I believe I mentioned during ordering that we "do not get grinders like this in Cali" and they were kind enough to let us indoors (surely knowing this weather was nearly "Antarctic penguin cold" for us) while our order was being finished. I saw various jars of giardiniera and muffuletta and could not resist buying a couple. Our store associate kindly wrapped them well in plastic wrap to ensure safe travel back to Cali. Our sandwich maker was a cool guy as well and conversational with us. They even gave us some brief family history on the place. Unfortunately, without my knowledge the wife set us up with an Uber while waiting so we had to dash and run to make our next stop before their closing time. "Foodies are as foodies do"... The FOOD review: CANNOLI w/cherries: -- it appears they use Amarena Bologna cherries which are so much better tasting than the standard maraschino bright red ones. I prefer morello cherries or these when using them in cannoli pie or on Chicago style or ricotta cheesecake. -- cheese tastes of cow's milk ricotta and is well strained so not watery -- lightly sweet is appreciated as it should be...no fake Italian sugar bomb with chocolate sauce and whipped cream like they do in Cali sometimes -- smaller portion size but value is good -- smoother textured than grainy -- shell is light colored and pretty solid -- up to a moderate dusting of powdered sugar on exterior -- appears freshly filled as there is no soggy shell syndrome whatsoever, crunchy and firm (I ate one two days later and it still had a firm shell) -- I have about 8 different cannoli pie recipes I created and make for friends, family and colleagues now and then. I transitioned to pie ages ago because there are so many bad shells and a graham cracker crust is always legit and easy to find. -- IMHO this is a much better and truer cannoli rendition than what you will find at D'Amato's Bakery in Chicago RATING = A "MR. G SPECIALTY GRINDER": -- I briefly considered "The Italian" or asking for a combo of the two but this stood out so I stuck with it -- I requested it "wet" as I hate anything dry (bread, meat etc.) and prefer extra "juice" (red wine vinegar, EVO) -- bread is not thick nor thin but just right with great texture, taste and freshness -- loved all the flavors and additions -- not a moose overloaded grinder but just right for those out of their twenties who do not need "sandie leftovers for days" -- good value here too RATING = A+ They even sell some appealing looking BLOOD ORANGE (and other flavors) sorbet. I definitely recommend them for a super hospitable Italiano experience with great eats. They even made the "Top Sandwich joints" in America list by Food & Wine magazine per associate and a quick Internet search.

(Heavy sigh) Leave your handcuffs at home, I will walk to the stocks myself…read more J.P. Graziano's was praised up and down by a colleague as one of the best sub shops he's ever tried. I wanted to love it, for family owned and operated businesses are often some of the best, and I love money going somewhere local as opposed to the $4,000,000,000 Jersey Mike's. However, if you'd put two subs in front of me, as much as it pains me to say, I'd choose the Jersey Mike's. I'd ordered a Mr. G., and a Tomato Basil Soup. The soup hit just the right spot for a miserable, raw, rainy day that, while heralding the arrival of spring, doesn't become easily bearable. The soup had the perfect texture, rich tomato notes, and herbaceousness from the basil. Simple and uncomplicated, but just right. Also packaged perfectly to not spill on the way back to the office. The Mr. G. was... fine. The veggies and cheeses within were good. Now, while I am not typically a fan or artichoke, here they worked well, only they attempted a great escape from being eaten! There are two things, in my opinion, that I like more about JM's: balance and moisture. JM's, through using more of everything and their signature "juice" makes the sandwich less bread-heavy, and less dry. The service is fantastic. As someone else wrote, I would have expected it to be at least a little rough around the edges. Instead it was friendly, kind, and very efficient. Final verdict: Please don't get me wrong, for a locally owned and operated Sub Shop, J.P. Graziano is good. However, when I'd tasted something that has a not-so-secret secret sauce, I can't lie and pretend I don't like said place better.

I don't consider it a save half and eat later sandwich though. In my experience it loses a bit of structure if not eaten right away. I have had the turkey, tuna, and meatball sandwich as well. All good and able to split into 2 meals and they save well. As mentioned, this spot is on repeat for me and haven't disliked anything. The pizza is ok but I wouldn't choose it as my pizza spot. There are better but if you are in a pinch a single slice option is nice. I enjoy the little Tiramisu cup. Perfect size. If you normally scroll by and wonder if you should try Nonna's go ahead.
