My choice for today was a breakfast sandwich which was pretty tasty, can't wait to try something else off the menu !!! So stop by if ever in the neighborhood!!!
This restaurant is inside another restaurant called Mi Tierra. The young lady who assisted us was very nice. We are able to sit inside the restaurant and eat. It looked very clean. I had the puffy tots con huevos and my friend had the turkey sausage and egg sandwich. I also had the Cafe con chata. I received it cold but I know it would taste just as delicious hot. We had no complaints in regards to our food. Everything received was good and hot.
Came to Ahuevo for brunch and the breakfast here was absolutely delicious. It's located inside of Mi Tierra restaurant in Little Village and the space has a great vibe and stylish decor. The staff was great asking us when we arrived if we needed a menu for Ahuevo or Mi Tierra. I ordered The Ahuevo and the Turkey Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich. Both were great. The bread was fresh, and the eggs were perfectly cooked. We also tried the puffy tots, which were super crispy along with an Abuelita Hot Chocolate and Horchata. For something sweet, we had the Guava y Coco cookies, which were also really good. Definitely need to come back here to try more off the Ahuevo menu as well as the food on Mi Tierra's menu.
Food Ambiance Service - got better after we spoke. Went to see the "Shameless" house from the TV series, and this place wasn't far. There was a little confusion finding the place, not because of the location, but because of the name. Ahuevo and Mi Tierra are one and the same. Anyway, greeted, and seated right away, and that's when the one and only issue came up. It seemed as if we were forgotten for a few minutes before I had to get up and speak to someone that we are still waiting to be seen. After that everything went well. I would definitely come back here!

only giving this four stars because they didn't add my tater tots on the sandwich. i was looking for a place that had a vegan breakfast sandwich option for me and a non vegan option for my sis. so this was the perfect place. the girls taking our to go order were friendly and pleasant. it was inside of a huge restaurant so if we wanted to dine in that was definitely an option but we chose to grab ours to go. overall loved the space and would definitely go back.
Had Ahuevo on Harrison, (their new location) with some friends and everything was fantastic. The double smash burger with everything was unreal -- crispy, juicy, and the flavors made it truly the best smash burger I've had in Chicago. The breakfast burrito with vegan chorizo was delicious, especially with their green salsa. The BLT was simple but good. The tater tots were absolutely amazing, perfectly crispy and soft inside addictive. The Horchata was honestly the best I've ever had. And don't forget the guava coconut and strawberry cookies -- they were so tasty and the perfect sweet ending. Everything tasted super fresh and well-made. Place has an awesome vibe and quick service! I'll absolutely be back, and it's an excellent spot for delivery too.
This food was so good that I ate on it all day! I ordered the Scrambled Egg Sandwich with sausage and tater tots. First, the packaging was GREAT! A lot of times, food delivery comes just wrapped in paper and thrown in a plastic bag. Not this food, though. The sandwich was STACKED with scrambled eggs. They were fluffy, creamy, and well-seasoned. The cheddar cheese literally covered every inch of the eggs, so I was able to get everything all in 1 bite. And what a delicious bite it was, especially on the buttery, toasted bun. The tater tots were also well-seasoned, and the Sriracha mayo gave them the right amount of kick. I was pleased to discover Ahuevo listed on Uber Eats while searching for coffee shops near me in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood. Its 4.8-star rating from over 1,500 reviews gave me the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience. Looking through the menu at Ahuevo, I was interested in the "El Vurrito (Vegan)," which is a 100% plant-based burrito featuring vegan eggs, melty vegan cheddar, smoky vegan chipotle mayo, and crispy, golden tater tots--all wrapped in a warm tortilla. Yum! I must say that I was surprised to see it on the menu, and it became the sole purpose of my order. I ended up ordering it with vegan sausage. I love ordering online for the convenience and the ability to schedule a pickup time. Most of the time, my orders are ready--or nearly ready--upon arrival. By the time I reached the restaurant, my order was already complete. I initially drove past the restaurant because I didn't see any signage. Once I turned around on Kedzie Ave, my GPS led me to Mi Tierra, which Ahuevo is located inside. Ironically, right as I was leaving, I finally noticed the exact signage I had missed while looking for the place! Go figure! If you have ever driven down Kedzie Ave in Little Village, then you have likely spotted the exterior of Mi Tierra. Its terracotta-red facade, accented with warm beige or tan trim, arched windows, and a tower-like structure, stands out from the surrounding buildings, making it a recognizable landmark. As for my food! While taking the El Vurrito out of the box it was placed in, I stated to myself, "Oh my God, this is big!" which instantly made me think of a Chipotle burrito. Unwrapping it, I had the biggest smirk on my face in anticipation of what I was about to eat. "Hello!" It smelled so wonderful as I caught my first glimpse of it. Next, I cut it to see and take pictures to share on Yelp of what is inside of this luscious looking burrito. I was very pleased with the taste, as my tastebuds were hit with all the ingredients it consisted of. If you are unsure of what to order at Ahuevo and are a plant-based eater like me, I highly recommend it because it will leave you satisfied, period! I am very positive that I will order it again in time, being that the restaurant sits down the street from my residence. Wow... I wasn't aware of your game Ahuevo. I'm always on the hunt for a good burger and you guys did NOT disappoint. Mind you, this was a DoorDash order so I'm even more impressed. First, I really appreciate how well packaged everything was. Second, it arrived in perfect and steaming hot condition . Thirdly, the portion was actually insane . I stg 5 bites in I gave it up lol. To be fair I'm not the biggest eater but I loooove a good meal and this was just that! Also please don't be fooled by the angle of the fries, i had already eaten some and i assure you it was full to the top. I ordered the smash burger and added caramelized onions and bacon because bacon . I also fries with a side of cheese sauce(gotta have it ) the first bite almost 100% healed me. This thing was HEAVY ! I appreciate when I can taste the freshness of ingredients . The cheese was a stand alone star all by itself . I know I say this allll the time but it's true. It's my first experience but it will not be my last. My total was 25.28 before tip and 39.26 after. Thanks so much guys and keep up the great work and consistency! read more

First of all, this is an excellent place for breakfast. I am a huge fan of the breakfast burritos. I don't think you can go wrong with any selection, but my favorite burrito has over easy eggs, pork sausage and grilled onions BUT the bacon burrito with scrambled eggs is also outstanding. And for the coffee: do yourself a favor and try a large iced coffee-horchata mix. IT'S DELICIOUS. The fact that food this good is also inexpensive is amazing. The service was excellent; very professional without hovering over the table. And the fact that this restaurant is, by night, a banging Mexican restaurant makes the atmosphere vibrant and inviting. I went with friends, and when we arrived we were the only table occupied, but by the time we left the place was filling up quickly. read more

Another gotdamn ghost kitchen. Seems as if I haven't learned my lesson but I was desperate & hangry. The initial bite of the tots was surprising as it tasted good however the majority of the dish was extremely salty. Ordering the sandwich was weird because via their website you can order a sandwich solely with turkey sausage however when placing my order via Uber eats you had to choose a sandwich then add turkey meat to it. Said turkey tasted like a fish sponge btw. Twas dry to say the least. read more
These breakfast sandwiches were full of flavor and very filling. They can get very messy while you are eating them but they do a wonderful job at packaging them up for take-out orders. It was a bit confusing to find where to order because it is inside the Mi Tierra restaurant. When you walk in, go to the left and there will be menus for you to order from. We had to ask employees twice because we didn't know where to go and they were extremely kind and helpful. Definitely a place to take out from because there was not much of an eating-in environment for the Ahuevo orders. read more
Ghost kitchen inside Mi Tierra Mexican restaurant, and 100% recommend trying them out! Egg sandwich that makes you lick your fingers after you've finished it! We did the Ahuevo Scrambled Egg Sandwich, I added bacon and my husband had sausage. The scrambled eggs are delicious, the sriracha mayo is the perfect touch! The only complaint is it's a little messy because it's very buttery so the wrapper is a little too greasy. Also get the iced coffee if you like sweet drinks. It's your typical sweet Mexican coffee :) Pick up is a little confusing because it's inside the restaurant, but the staff was super welcoming and nice. (When you walk in, go to the left by the bar, orders will be there). Definitely coming back to try other items from their menu! read more

Well good morning as it is while I post this review gents and ladies. Let's start with the coffee it's not the best or the worst but it is a strong brew though just to give you a heads up unless your a crazy coffee drinker then it should be fine for you lol. We also had the horchata and it's good just in the sweet side though but good over all. I had the double smash burger and it was good tasty and filling toppings are fresh and buns are really good as well and made a good choice to go with the meat very juicy as well. My wife had the Canadian bacon egg and cheese sandwich and it was very good perfect portion and soft to the touch mua well done. FYI the restaurant is inside Mi Tierra ok guys so park inside the Mi Tierra parking lot ok . I do recommend this place for sure they close at 2pm ok guys so you also know. Great service as well friendly smiles and professional. The owner also asked us before giving my kid a free cookie and that was a very nice touch of him. read more

Had breakfast delivered one morning and can definitely say I was satisfied. The portion was huge and I could not eat everything, but it taste great. Items were also very well packaged which I appreciate since it ensured everything was delivered with no issues. read more

AHUEVO........We GO. Found this newly hidden gem via Uber eats. This place is inside of MI Tierra. So far everything was good. Ordered the burrito w/ thick cut bacon... which came stuffed. The bacon/egg sandwich added avocado. And the tater tots with eggs on top with. Chipotle sauce. I highly recommend this breakfast spot. Menu is small but keeps a wide variety of options to choose from. read more

I ordered take out this morning and let me just say, AMAZING FOOD. It was good timing as well, I arrived when my pick order said it was ready and they had it out to me just a minute later. Absolutely nothing wrong with the food. The ladies behind the host/ pick up stand were also very friendly and approachable. It was my first time stepping in for pick up, I had previously been in to Dine In at Mi Tierra. Now, I do have some suggestions for management regarding the female bartender behind the service bar this morning. When I stepped in I was looking for the pick up area, and the first employee I saw was the bartender behind the service bar so I inquired where I could pick up my take out order from "Ahuevo", she motioned to the left side of the restaurant and said this is it (looking back now I don't think she understood my question, or rather didn't care to want to understand my question). So I go back to the service bar and mention I have a pick up order, and she annoyingly says to her coworker in Spanish "le puedes ayudar" (lol yes I speak Spanish so I understood what she said) to which the coworker looks at her confused ( Almost saying like why me? & why can't you?? LOL, girl. Same internal reaction I had). So I walk away to find the ladies at the pick up section. My thing is, that's just bad customer service and a bad respresentation for the business. I could tell that they were all very busy for their brunch hour, however having previous hospitality experience myself, there is a certain way to address paying customers, and her lack of professionalism left a sour taste in my mouth and showed a lack of etiquette. I hope that management can take my critique and use it as a training opportunity for this employee so that this doesn't happen in the near future again. Other than that, great job on the food and establishment, beautiful place and I will definitely be back to dine in for brunch with friends or family. read more

I don't eat pork and have trouble finding places that have other meat options for breakfast burritos. Ahuevo has a turkey sausage option so we decided to give it a try. The burrito is massive and absolutely delicious! My partner got the pork sausage burrito and loved it as well. The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly and everything came in these tidy little boxes. They even gave us two free cookies . Will definitely be ordering again! read more
