this place is awesome! i'm visiting from out of town, and my husband was admitted to the hospital nearby. i stumbled upon this spot and liked it so much the first time that i had it for lunch again the next day. the interior is clean and orderly. the service is quick, efficient and they're very polite and helpful. they have a wide variety of poke options, and the fish tasted fresh and well handled. also, this place is located right next to an ono bbq--genius!! you already know i got me some ono bbq and poke, and had myself a hawaiian feast. read more

I haven't been to other poke places lately but I would have to say the pricing of this place is little bit on the high side. Usually regular lunch should run about $7 to $8 but if you come here and get a drink and regular size bowl its going to cost you close to $15 dollars. For the price they charge I think the amount is very little. When you walk in you have option to decide either salad or bowl. Regular bowl comes with two scoop of your choice and you get to pick either white or brown rice as your base. Basic fish like Tuna, Salmon and Albacore is included but if you want Yellowtail or avocados its extra. They also have shrimp on the menu along with grilled chicken now. When I first saw the sign for "now serving chicken" I was like oh this is interesting. When I came here on opening week they just had bowls and now it seems like they have burritos and spam musubi (although right next door to them is hawaiian bbq spot) I personally gave 3 stars because of the rice. The rice was not cooked properly and was watery. I am not trying to order sticky rice the rice on a bowl needs to be cooked properly. I did notice how they use individual bowl to mix in your toppings but I didn't like that they weren't using new tongs to mix it. So other peoples sauce or sometimes topping can get mixed into mine. Their scoops are not as big as the other places and not much option to pick from (basic options). Although inside of the restaurant is very clean. But they should get one more trash bin for the store since theres only one by the front entrance. read more

I love sushi and I kiiiinda like poke. But the poke at this place might deepen my love for it. Stopped here for a quick bite to eat and I've got to say the seared eel was amazing and everything else was so fresh. My fiancé and I did not speak the whole time we ate (and you know how that is when the food is bomb). Too bad it's so far from us but if I can find a location closer I'm there. Only issue that I took one star off is because it's pretty pricey - now yes you get a large portion but the cost is a bit eek! I have been pretty particular with Poke ever since I over did it during the summer. I found this place through fellow Yelpers. It's good. But I think it's too saucy or maybe the one person who happened to prepare my order made it too saucy. The fish quality is ok. The tuna and salmon was stringy so you already know the quality isn't like sushi which poke is not supposed to be. But it's good if you want poke. Choose your selection (scoops): tuna, salmon, albacore, kimchi shrimp, spicy tuna, octopus, or yellow tail (extra $1) Their regular size somes with 2 scoops for $9.50 and their large size comes with 3 scoops for $11.50. You can pay an extra $1.75 for every school after that. This is above market price since most poke places will give you 3 scoops in a regular and 5 scoops in a large. Their scooper is sligghtlyyyy bigger than other poke places but I rather have fish variety for my poke. Also, this is the ONLY place I've seen to charge extra for yellow tail. I hate hidden fees, they really add up!! 3. Choose your sauce: house sauce, house spicy, spicy creamy, citrus sweet, garlic soy mirin, wasabi citrus or kimchi sauce 4. Choose your toppings: onions, cucumbers, edamame, pickled radish, masago, ginger, wasabi, seaweed salad, crab meat, daikon sprout, sesame see, crispy onion, chili flakes, furikake, avocado (extra $1) I had a regular salad ($9.50) with an extra scoop (+$1.75) with salmon, tuna and albacore. I actually thought the sauce was okay. I mixed the spicy creamy with garlic soy mirin. For toppings I had the crab meat, seaweed and ginger. I have never had crabmeat so soggy and watery. It was gross... too much mayo?? I wasn't a fan of the seaweed either. At some point I decided to just eat the protein so I am not being wasteful but I was super over this un-authentic poke salad. The girl who helped us had NO knowledge of poke... She even told us how she doesn't even eat fish. She was going to mix all of our ingredients in a bowl until I stopped her. Then she was going to not mix anything... I had to be very specific... like... salad = base... Mix fish with sauce please *roll my eyes* The most annoying thing was how she mixed my friend's stuff and then used the same tongs to mix up my fish. She's lucky I don't have any food allergies. Other poke places uses new gloves per batch and then toss the gloves away. When I specifically asked her if she used the same tongs, another one of the workers got all upset like please don't give us a bad reviews, we wash it in between each group?? Umm... just because my friend and I are together, that doesn't mean we have the same taste. If she had gotten a super spicy sauce that would have contaminated my order. In summation: I dislike this place because they are overpriced since I get fish variety AND they charge extra for yellowtail and avocado. I also dislike how they are not authentic. I also dislike how their staff who helped me has no knowledge of the product. I especially dislike how they mixed up different orders with the same tongs. I also dislike how the salad order comes in a flimsy plastic container that makes it difficult to mix up and eat. I almost gave them 3 stars but after typing out my review... I got regular bowl with 2 scoop protein, and want to add unagi. It saying extra $1. So i got it. The girl that helping me only say its $1 extra. So i said yes its ok. Then when its come to pay. The cashier charged me for large bowl. Which 3 scoops protein. And $1 extra for the unagi..I was like oh i only got the regular bowl which supposed to be $10.55 and plus $1 for the eel. Cashier was like oh no with the eel would be charge for large bowl $12.55 + $1 for the unagi. With that being said, they should let customer is there an extra charge for that. Stopped in for lunch today and it was very good! Everything tasted fresh and of high quality. A lot of reviews I've seen say it's pricey but I think it was about average for what I pay at any poke place in the IE. They had a bit of a line as it was lunchtime but they were quick and pleasant! I found this little gem. Going in the store was big, lot of Seat to set around. If you have a stroller there is room beside the table. Going in the two worker there greedy me and they where very helpful on how the food taste. Like all poki I have been to this one was a little different. I like that they have spam -moso beef. The food was good just like in Hawaii and how my friends make it better Hawaiian. I felt authentic. Not a lot of toppings to pick for and good rice. I guess the one thing was the price. For 3 topping was around $12. Most poki have that price for 5 topping. It's nice to go for lunch. But seeing as I'm a big man I need a little more. They were out of a lot of the marinated fish and that's ok it was the end of the night but it was disappointing there was no unmarinated albacore.. Got a Thai tea and it was extremely watered down which was another disappointment. Service wasn't great considering they didn't put the bowl in a place I could grab it and accidentally left thinking they handed it to my bf at least. I understand tho, end of the night I'm an asshole for coming in so late tbh but there are just better spots around for better quality, portions and prices. read more

Awful service! Complete crap employees I was a returning customer and now they can eat dirt because I'm taking my money elsewhere. Someone asks for avocado, you give them avocado. They refused me due to some selection on Postmates app. is it my fault they don't put the option on there? No not at all! So I typed it on the special instructions and they still refused to add it. Stopped by for my lunch break not busy at all. Checked the menu and it's $11 for a bowl with 2 scoops of fish and $12 and some cents for a bowl with 3 scoops of fish. Already slightly turned off by the prices but I didn't want to leave and try to find somewhere else. I got a salad bowl with 3 scoops and added an extra for $2. Honestly Prices are not competitive to other poke places around here especially since there are so many. I can go to another poke place and pay $13 for 5 scoops of fish. I ended up also adding avocado which is usually always extra so no big deal. Total came up to almost $17 for a poke salad with 4 scoops of fish LOL.
