Best Nelloru chepala pulusu we've ever had. Piping hot, freshly made, tangy, authentic, sour, tasty, juicy fish pieces, tempered with lots of mustard seeds curry leaves and goodness, served with fresh hot rice and this combination is just a match made in heaven. We absolutely loved it and could not stop from eating. Felt like as if our mom or skilled grand mom back home cook and serve us. We also ordered egg omelet spicy which was perfectly cooked with crunchy onions, green chillis and cilantro. While savoring this meal my husband was craving for yummy hot rasam and we were served piping hot pachi pulusu style rasam freshly tempered with loads of aromatics. the best for throat on a cool day. We also had salt lassi which was super refreshing and in cute cup with lids. The restaurant owner and head chef is managed by the same person whom we and folks at Ahaa referred to her as Akka (a term for elder sister in Telugu). A sweet lady who talked to us and gave recommendations. She kept checking on us often and was always attentive to our likings. Price is good and quantity is plenty. Location is inside DaysInn motel in a hall. Not something I liked but its worth it for the homely tasty fresh authentic food. Adding this to the must visit place everytime we visit Dallas.. I happened to find this Indian restaurant while staying at the DoubleTree hotel in Irving. It's actually located inside the Days Inn, which is beside the DoubleTree. What a find. I ordered the Goat Biryani and I was surprised how tender the goat meat was! And the portion was generous, I took half of it to my hotel room and ate it for dinner the next day. Samosas were also very delicious! They do take out, which I think drives a lot of their business. Ahaa Kitchen is definitely a hidden gem in the rough. read more

We were looking at highly rated Indian restaurants. This place had high rated reviews. We went in and before we went into the restaurant we have noticed pungent smell coming out. They have lighted couple of aroma candles at the entrance. We couldn't stand there for few minutes at all. The bathrooms are a disaster. Not a place where I would like to have my food or take my family to. This is not a stand alone restaurant this place is in a motel and that's how I think it has highly rated review. read more

I got in late from a cancelled flight, unsure where to eat. I was suspicious of Ahaa Kitchen being connected to the Days Inn, but wow was I ever wrong about doubting them. I got the samosas, Tandoori Chicken, and a side of flavored rice. The samosas were a delicious starter, loved the chutneys! The Tandoori Chicken came as two leg quarters, perfectly cooked and incredibly flavored. And yes, you need to get the rice. No, you don't have rice like this at home. No, you can't make rice like this at home (otherwise, you'd never go out). Yes. Get the side of rice. I've traveled all over. This is easily one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the country now. Definitely recommend trying biryani here. Ordered vijayawada chicken biryani & It was amazingly delicious!!! Never liked mirchi ka salan in any restaurants before but here it was very flavorful. Pricing seemed little expensive in the menu when compared with other Indian restaurants with their location but definitely worth the price if they maintain the quality & quantity. Very friendly staff. Today being the opening day and they never expected such overwhelming response to their ad. Literally had to wait one & half hour to get my food as they ran out of everything. Ordered dinner for pick up from here last night. We ordered the vijayawada biryani, Khaleel biryani and chicken chettinad. The food is excellent and spicy. Just wish the chicken chettinad had more chicken. There was more gravy sauce than chicken. That's my only complaint. Jyoti at the front desk is really sweet. We will definitely be back. read more

The ambience was bad. The banana leaf on which they serve food looked so bad you'd not feel like having the food in the first place. The white rice was burnt in some places. The so called sweet had a burnt taste too. And any South Indian meal will have curd to finish with. They dint have that. The table where you sit and eat the food was so shaky that every single time I took a bite, got to put up with the dancing table. Service was not good either. Lethargic. No one even came for the first 5 mins to get n take the order though the restaurant was fairly empty. No tissue papers kept in the table. Too much delay in bringing the order. Yummy & reasonably priced. The food was some of the best Indian Cuisine we have ever had, and we travel a lot. It's a pretty non-descript space inside the Days Inn, but the food is fantastic. South Indian. Careful with your spice level request.

I'm Indian and I really liked this place! Most curries are delicious The thali is really authentic and they even included an indo Chinese dish which was cool!
